The only real issue we had was with the food; the burger we got was undercooked to the point the couple next to us made a comment about it but they immediately remade it so no major issue. The rooms were immaculate and we loved the little porch area connected to the rooms. Both bartenders were also great as were the drinks. Quick 5 minute walk to the beach, and to the outdoor mall. Despite the food issues, we definitely will be back as the atmosphere is top notch.

The atmosphere is what drew us in to try it out and we loved being out on the patio. It was peaceful and we were able to hear the waves and enjoy the view. The portions are very large- dinners come with 3 sides and garlic bread (which is literally the best garlic bread I've ever had and I am a garlic bread lover btw.) Prices are very reasonable for the portions you get. Our food came out quickly, at the right temperature, and cooked just right! We were impressed all the way around. The only negative experience we had was the whole bass, even being deboned, was riddled with bones and my boyfriend was quite disappointed with his choice. The fish was delicious but having to spit and pull out bones in every bite kind of ruined that for him. It wasn't the restaurant, he just wished he had chosen differently. Our server was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly and helpful since we were visiting from Pennsylvania and we were asking questions and for suggestions. It literally took me a month to get all of my money back from trip advisor but was finally successful when I threatened to sue. I am very much considering speaking with an attorney regarding this, "no children under 12 policy". Some of us do not regard our children as a distraction or problem to be dealt with. Not everyone's children are loud & a nuisance, some are even quiet & well behaved. Our children are our futures without them we have no future. Southern Mansion Hotel should be ashamed of themselves excluding our most valuable assets. "Our Children"...!!!

While he wasn’t a fan of the texture, it reminded him more of salmon than a typical white fish, he did appreciate the preparation and really enjoyed the flavors of the dish. One of our sons ordered the pretzels with crab dip and couldn’t stop raving about them. They were the highlight of his night! Service throughout the meal was warm, attentive, and efficient. I’ve been coming to this Dunkin since they’ve opened. We are local. Everyone especially the managers are truly amazing. They go above and beyond. It’s rare to see a bad employee. Honestly if I do they are usually gone fairly quickly. Today on two separate occasions my family had bad service by the same employee. She was young and very short tempered. I’m not one to complain. But when service was clearly so bad I have to say something. Everyone at the NCM Dunkin is 5 star quality. That’s why my 5 star rating remains. Hopefully they pull this employee aside and help her out. I won’t post her name or say who she is because I’m sure the staff already is aware. She’s young and has time to get it together. The inside is small without a restroom, but the staff is pleasant. Besides the prices on the menu, the first red flag should have been that they market themselves as a coffee shop but then, apparently use a $700 homeowner grade espresso machine from Breville. 2 drinks and 2 bagels with cream cheese came out to almost $26 which is ridiculous anyway, but we looked beyond this seeing as it’s in the Cape May area. However, the cappuccino I had requested was the worst I have had anywhere. Without any coffee taste, it was basically a giant cup of hot milk. The everything bagel was… just okay. Considering that we are in the area of New Jersey with arguably the best bagels in the country, these were a huge disappointment. They were overly dense and chewy, lacking in flavor. Both the plain cream cheese in the scallions/bacon cream cheese were enjoyable, but that’s about the end of the positives for this experience. The asiago bagel was a bit of a joke with a clump of melted cheese on the top of what appeared to just be a plain bagel with cheese tasting like store brand, odorous, disappointing “Asiago”. All in all, not nearly worth the price tag as we dumped out the drinks and barely finished the bagels. Would not recommend unless they make some huge improvements. On this particular visit, all of our items were To-Go since we had other timed arrangements, so we didn’t discover the poor quality until we had already left and could not turn around. We also had come to this location based on decent reviews and did not have another option at that point as we were in a hurry to get on the road, so we assumed that the product would live up to the high price tag (our mistake).
