There was over 40 of us in the garden, Paige put up the balloons we delivered and reserved some tables under a huge umbrella for us all outside. what a lovely space their garden is! The young children ran around with the dogs leaving the adults to drink, chat and mingle and when it came to birthday cake time, Paige and Mark both delivered the cake into the garden for us With napkins and cutlery and smiles. Nothing was too much for them. When a family member got drinks they put them on a tray and carried them to the garden for them. Checking on everyone throughout the evening, clearing glasses and taking time the chat too. We will most definitely be visiting again soon! We were placed upstairs in a great space for a private function. Staff were very helpful even though they were absolutely banged out due to the Xmas period. Visiting Whitstable Bay and Faversham for a well needed break and found this gem of a pub. Amazing atmosphere both inside and out and the food was delicious. We had the skate wing and trio of duck amongst a few great starters and it was all absolutely lovely. The interior has historic exposed beams, an open fire, heavy wooden tables and very tasteful decor. The cocktails are outstanding! Truly excellent mixology. The food is good - but not as good as expected. The burger was overdone, the sole was slightly undercooked, the oysters were small and had a milky deposit on one I’ve never seen in an oyster before. We were brought the three fish dishes with regular sides instead of the Sunday roast sides as was offered and requested. Our food was also served at different times due to the dietary requirements of one. I think this place is amazing though and want to come back to retry the food as the sprays were excellent. The rooms of the restaurant are divided up in a way that they feel intimate despite having plenty of spaces. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and has very scenic grounds. Our room was huge, immaculate in presentation and had lovely views of the grounds from the windows. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and this was moved to a pantry down the hall that was communal for all guests. This was something to do with Covid regulations rather than having them individually in the room. Tea and coffee are free, everything else had a charge. It would have been preferable to have this in the room as we are very early risers and didn't want to go and use the pantry and risk waking other guests making a hot drink. Our room was very impressive but my wife and I found the bed pretty firm and we didn't get a good night's sleep due to this. Staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. I was very impressed with the restaurant having a table for us that we could come down for dinner at any time between 6.30-8.30pm. The restaurant was beautifully presented and only four tables in the room we were seated. This meant you didn't feel on top of the other guests and a really nice touch. The food was excellent - very well cooked and presented. There was nothing we didn't finish and we enjoyed everything placed in front of us. The portions were perfectly sized so by the end of the meal, my wife and I were completely full. The selection of wine was also very impressive and caters for all tastes! The food was presented well, looked good but lacked real flavour. We ordered desserts, ice cream, Chocolate churros and a Sundae. The Sundae had to be eaten with a pudding spoon and didn't fit in the glass, asked for a tall sundae spoon but they don't have them! Several other people on other tables also struggling to reach the bottom of the Sundae too! The churros were dark brown over cooked and crunchy enough to hurt! We tried Greek Eggs, English breakfast and pancakes. Pancakes were super soft, fresh and tasty. Perfect portion for sharing with somebody. We went in for dinner on a sunny, warm, Saturdays they had tables outside but they were all being used so we sat inside. There are two bars, we was in a fairly quite one but the one at the back we could here chatting and laughing, it definitely made it feel welcoming. The bar staff were very good, we ordered food and had a couple of beers. The food was excellent! It felt like proper quality pub food. Faversham is definitely worth a visit. There was a live music event with a brilliant singer Ian Ingles. The service at Baltic House was absolutely outstanding! You meet in the bar on site, then our tour guide Martin introduce himself. Martin made this tour, he is a extremely knowledgeable guide and very passionate about his beers. You walk around the brewery with your guide explaining how the various beers and larger are made. The room is really nice with well spaced tables. We were there on a rainy Wednesday lunchtime and it was very quiet so I will be keen to return on a weekend when it's busier. We had the set menu which is great value at 15.95 for 3 great courses. I had pigeon for my starter...delicious, and the pork belly main. The whole menu was really tempting including the non meat offerings. It's attached to a Shepherd Neame pub so no problem getting a decent pint with your meal if you prefer it to wine. Tap water provided as soon as we sat down without having to ask, which I like. My one small gripe could be that no bread offered, but overall definitely recommended. Friendly unobtrusive service.

We were tempted in by 'tapas' and I'm sure that over the next weeks and months the offer will evolve into something more authentic, something that includes some form of vegetable or salad and a nod towards Spanish flavours. As it was we had 11 deep fried items including onion bhaji, brie bites, halloumi fries, loaded fries and fish cakes. A lot of fat and carbs. Have to say the welcome was very warm and the staff were lovely. The beer was local and well kept. Maybe the chef might consider wearing an apron - there was a lot of whispering and coming and going to the kitchen which brought attention to the swing door which is very dirty. Probably just an oversight but this might put some customers off in the current climate. Good luck with the tapas menu - here's hoping it becomes a local favourite full of tempting Spanish flavours! We paid £53 for food and drinks for 3 people.

We enjoyed our meal here but it didn't have that "Wow" factor we were expecting from a Chef that came from the Goods Shed in Canterbury. Service was very friendly. I had a rabbit and smoky bacon pie (which was a casserole with pastry lid!!) there were a few bones in it which shows a bit of rushing making the stock and not straining it. Pastry flavoured with Rosemary which added a bit of flair. Vegetables were seasonal (good) but a bit too overcooked (bad). Cheese board was a bit on the small side for £7.50, and the Rhubarb and Almond meringue I had showed nice compliments of ingredients but the chef didn't quite pull it off - the cream with it was just plain whipped cream and could have been sweetened a bit or had something added (i.e. I could have easily knocked up that desert in a few minutes at home). The sandwiches (which we didn't eat but saw going past very frequently) looked excellent, made with real bread (not the pappy, sliced stuff you often get). In summary, I'd come back for a light snack or sandwich, but if I want fancy food I'd go somewhere like the Sportsman in Seasalter (although there is now a long waiting list since it has been discovered!)

Very secluded and wouldn't know your near the road. Visited with friends for lunch. Was nice to see pub had other customers and had offers on for Wonky Wednesday. Friendly welcoming staff. Had a bite of lunch. Had fish finger baguette ( which was huge portion and very filling), lasagna and salad, and Mousakka. All food was freshly made, piping hot (not the salad), and delicious. Staff regularly checked all was OK. We also had pudding. Apple pie with choice of custard, cream or ice cream and lemon and ginger cheesecake.
