Presentation and flavor profiles were mid at best. $65 for a chewy NY strip loin was criminal, and over $10 to add some carrots as a side. The mediocre chocolate mousse was served in a martini glass—it felt so dated and out of character for the adventurous, refined, and unique restaurant I once loved. I can’t imagine how the bar program, once a major highlight, has been affected. I’m sad to say this is a huge loss to the LG community.

It was a poor experience overall, with the saving grace being that the food was spectacular. The best Italian food I’ve had in the States. But the service was unbelievably slow. In the past seven months or so, we’ve tried the French dip sandwich, the turkey-avocado sandwich, the ahi tower, and the crab cakes, in addition to the steak medallions and shrimp-avocado salad that we had back in January. All were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Service was equally efficient and friendly. I couldn't resist having a glass of Guinness with my French dip and I'm glad I did. My wife and I have dined here often, mostly for lunch. The downstairs dining room is quiet and cozy with old world style decor and subdued lighting, but we prefer to sit on the large patio which we think is the best outdoor dining spot in town. Our last experience was at lunch on New Years eve day. I ordered the bistro steak medallions which I think are tastier and more tender than other beef items on the menu. The three pieces of meat were cooked perfectly (medium rare) but I’ll have to ask them to cut back on the sautéed mushrooms and onions next time so that the sauce doesn’t overwhelm the food. My wife enjoyed her double shrimp and avocado salad. She doesn’t really like tiny bay shrimp so our server just substituted a few more prawns without charging extra. The seared Ahi salad used to be her favorite, but the quality of the fish hasn’t been the same for a while. We make it a point to order their delectable mixed berry puff pastry for desert. The pastry is always fresh and flaky and the vanilla ice cream and whipped cream complement the berry compote nicely. If you’re in the mood for classic American fare with a California twist, I definitely recommend the Wine Cellar.

Our only issue was the shower, it is too tight even for a small person. The shower head is painting at the shower wall and it is impossible to point it down on yourself. Room was clean. The two things I think were really good though were the chili and especially the pizza. The chili wasnt too spicy or anything and i think had a really good savory meaty flavor and it was nice. The pizza was also super yummy, probably some of the best pizza Ive had actually, the crust was a little crispy yet still soft and moist in some places, and the cheese was really stretchy and melty! I feel there was a nice balance between the tomato sauce and the cheese, and it was just all around really good. This place can definitely get a little bit loud, it was kind of hard to hear what the people on the other side of our table were saying. They do have a fun little arcade area with claw machines and other stuff that could be fun for the kids. Food didn't take too long to come out either. So yah If you come here, they do have good pizza, but Id probably just STICK to the pizza, lol.

The Patti was much smaller than the rye bred and the bread was somewhat to the burned side and greasy. I ordered a side salad but the lettuce was old and turning yellowish red around the edges. I ate my food because I was hungry but I don’t think I would order food at this place again. If it wasn’t for my family, I would r even go there again. Service was very slow but the waitress was new and she apologized for being new and not familiar with everything.

So we went on Sunday for special Mother’s Day brunch and give it a try. My sister is their member so we can order five different entries from their set menu.
