The view over the vineyard and countryside is absolutely phenomenal; perfect for photos and a relaxing afternoon. They also offer wine tastings and have a great selection available for purchase, which makes the experience even better. The grape gardens are beautiful and make for a nice walk or photo spot before or after your meal. While the outdoor menu is a bit limited compared to the more formal indoor dining, everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. Unfortunately it was ok but not exciting. Had the trout as a main, fish was perfect but the thin chips ranged between chewy , soggy and crispy. The other man a rump cap was rare (did ask for medium) and chewy. Under whelming unfortunately. Menu seems basic not much to choose from. The side potatos were probably the nicest thing we ordered. The staff while very friendly but seem un trained. We sat in the middle of the room for at least 10 min before we we offered a drink. Cocktails were nice . Once finished, again quite a wait, we had a wine menu when we sat down , that was taken and I watched how it traveled from table to table. Considering the font mis-alignment in the wine menu binder and the faded almost unreadable menu print I'm going to assume there was a printer problem and it's not usual. I tried to share my trout and unfortunately some landed on the table , due to cloth napkin I thought it's best to ask the young lady if she would mind getting a cloth and apologized for my mishap. She went way didn't not come back. Then the next staff member almost put the desert menu on the mess and just walked away. I then called on the young lady and she then came and cleaned it up. Again for a hatted restaurant not good. The atmosphere is 5 star. Clean lines, ambient mood and cosy. The fixtures are very good quality. We felt very comfortable when we arrived. They have a large tea selection and they their own teas as well. The staff there were incredibly nice and considerate, they went upstairs to check if their was room for us and fit us in. The woman who served us was very efficient and quite polite. I think her name was Christina (sorry if that's incorrect) We sat down and ordered from the menu. They had some nice options and variety which was all fresh and local. We had some complementary pistachios to snack on whilst we waited on food. The dining room is admittedly small but didn't feel closed in. They had a large selection of wines which were from all over. All the food we had looked amazing and tasted balanced. The dessert was also presented well and complimented the afternoon nicely. It is expensive but it is well worth it. A very unassuming store front but the food is spectacular. It is extremely creative with unexpected combinations and flavors. As I was dining with a large group it was suggested that we order one or two tacos for ourselves then as a table order sides and the big platters to share. We ordered about 80% of what was available on the menu(because we love tasting different flavours) and each dish was amazingly delicious. It is hard to put into words just how amazing GWYLO really are. From the moment that we started working with the team they exceeded all expectations. Nothing was too hard, too far or too much for them. We hosted a costal wedding at our private property for 100+ people. There was no commercial kitchen and all equipment had to be brought on site. During the planning Haley and Mat sat with us to exactly understand what we wanted and tailored not only the menu but also the experience to our every wish. They helped coordinate the rental equipment and arranged everything from glasses to cool rooms in an extremely tight timeline. Throughout the planning process whenever I got worried about things, I would call Haley and she would reassure me that everything would be ok. She was better than any wedding planner. The food was of course exceptional but what was truly wonderful was the whole team that GWYLO brought to our event. They were charming, smiling, polite and always on hand. They catered to the most outrageous of our guests' dietary requirements and even set up hibachi grill on our balcony. During the wedding, the team made sure that my husband and I were able to try every dish, they found us personally for each course and brought us the canapés no matter where we were. They were the most dry, and unflavoured dish I've had in a while. Literally 1 star and that's cause it was edible). The cocktail my husband had tasted horrible. So Unfortunately for us last night. The only thing that hit the spot for us was the view, and the wine. Those two things were amazing, and is what is keeping my review from being 2 stars. Which us disappointing because with this spot, and the wine collection... this place has so much potentionals if they had more passionate staff. More passion means better food and better service. Hopefully this place can improve because they have potential. 2021 Review: Great food, good drinks, OK service, they could have been more friendly and patient. It's rated so high and was looking forward to some luxury pasta. The first few bites are tasty but as you get through it you realise that the sauce is just almost completely salt and it's really overpowering. Mark was very welcoming and made us feel at home. We tried a wide selection of wines (the sparkling Shiraz was my personal favourite), accompanied by a cheese board. He even gave us some avocados and grapefruits to take home. The view overlooking Upper Kangaroo Valley was amazing and there were plenty of nice spots outside to sit and take photos. Focaccia ($14) arrives painted with oil alongside a flavourless almond whip. Going off script with Japanese scallop crudo ($32) was a mistake. The scallops were diced with an odd combination of ginger, coconut, apple and daikon radish, and presented as a mince that might have worked better scooped onto prawn crackers. Oysters ($5/each) from Narooma Bridge were a little drier than shucked-to-order, but their flavour was on point. The overall experience here however is greater than the sum of its parts.

The restaurant is well decorated and the atmosphere was great. We didn't have a booking so we were sat at a table at the back of the restaurant.
