Our waiter Nick has only been there for 8 months but he had incredible knowledge of the menu and ingredients (and what he didn't know, he checked with the chef and got back to us). Our table got the crab cake appetizer and for entrees swordfish and porkchop. The crab cakes were absolutely delicious. I would go back for them. My husband enjoyed the swordfish and had a clean plate by the end of his meal. My porkchop was cooked to death and the prawns were so burnt and rubbery. Not worth the $20 add on. I felt so conflicted about returning the meal but for the price, I needed something I enjoyed. My server thanked us for the honesty and the manager brought out what was initially my second choice, short ribs. Now THOSE are something to write home about. Deliciously tender, with mashed potatoes and greens. A little oversalted/seasoned but much better than whatever happened with the porkchop that night. I am not much of a drinker but my husband said his cocktail was JUST as it should be. Overall I wouldn't be back for a full meal but perhaps an appetizer. I appreciate the staff making the experience more enjoyable but replacing my meal. There was no wait for our table, but we did do a reservation for when they opened.

Started with drinks at bar. Key lime martinis & sangria were great, but expresso martini poor as no expresso and too sweet. Otherwise, bartender service was great. We came right when they opened, and while our servers were attentive, the quality of what I got was not good. My wife ordered some kind of sweet glazed fish, which she seemed to enjoy, but I found very overly sweet. It was also apparently cooked in bourbon which was perceptible in the taste. Unfortunately my meal was the worst, it was some kind of "stew" (which is supposed to be an approximation of a low country boil), but it was largely flavorless and bland. Y'all should make that a separate appetizer just for me haha. I feel sorry for the bad reviews on here because I wish they would give them a second chance. I love the ambience of the restaurant too. We are very critical of restaurants, and for a chain restaurant, Chop House is top notch. I love that they also have the option for a lunch menu to make it very affordable. But I have to always get the calamari and shrimp appy and chocolate martini. Now, the one thing they could improve is their desert menu. We were given a free desert last weekend, we chose the stawberry butter cake and it was underwhelming. I would have been upset if I paid $10 for that desert. But I usually spend $100+ when we go and we are always very satisfied with dinner. :) Oh and definitely avoid going on a Sunday. Its way busy packed and wasn’t a relaxing time at all. I decided to go with the beef and vegetables. Decent size entree for a light lunch, but don’t expect a normal size for the lunch special. The food score on the door was a 100%. Having a good food score is a must for me. From 4-6pm they offer an early bird special that provides fried rice and an egg roll with your meal. I ordered the Hunan Chicken and Hot Sour Soup. My spouse ordered the sesame chicken. The Hunan Chicken was fresh hot and some what spicy hot. Lots of fresh vegetables. Rice was plain fried rice and was good for what it was. The Hot and Sour soup was surprisingly delicious. This was very hearty lots flavor and plenty of ingredients that didn’t leave it wanting. The egg roll was good for what it was, I have had better. Lastly I tried the sesame chicken and the sauce they used was just right. The chicken wasn’t as crunchy as I would expect for this type of dish. You can tell that the chicken is freshly cut chicken breast. However, with the batter that they used it should have been fried longer to make it crunchy. Overall this is a good place to visit. I would like to visit it again and try something different to see what else they offer. Also it got really busy so they must be doing something right. Service was a bit slow but very polite. Overall this place rates a “3.5 to 4” stars for this style of restaurant.

Anyway I won't be returning just for crab legs. I can do that myself, go to other restaurants, or even krogers. What happened? Bringing crab legs won't fix that fish. Where is it coming from? Whole time every staff member standing around looking crazy like I did something wrong. Suddenly all eyes are on me like I'm tne problem. Whole time you all sold me some bad fish. Customer service was horrible from the staff to the Manager and to make matters worse this is the 2nd time I have receive spoiled rotten fish from this establishment. Its been a year and I thought I would give them a try in hopes that I wouldn't be disappointed. Only to arrive and leave with the same dilemma. I will never return. I will definitely share this experience with everyone I know and everyone I come across never to come to this establishment.
