He hustled, was very kind, and made sure we had what we needed without us having to hunt him down. The portions are very large, and everything came out on time together. I'd give 4.5 if possible. My wife and I had red grouper from the Gulf; grouper nuggets and blackened grouper sandwich respectively. Both were good. The bun on the grouper sandwich fell apart though; I think they need to use a sturdier type of bun. Masha is a great bartender; checks if you need anything but, not so often it's annoying. :-) The key lime pie we shared was very good. Prices are a bit high but not that bad.

Great location, less than mediocre food. The Philly steak was on dry hard bread and was very basic and more like beef hash than cheesesteak. Wife had the fish tacos which were pretty good, fried clams and chicken(bar food) were fine and the pizza had an odd citrus taste to it. Cash only added an extra $2.50 for an atm fee plus you had to pay for beach parking. Just felt cheap overall, drinks were styrofoam, sauces came in prepackaged containers. Service was decent though.

Docs is known for the place to be at for sunset. As it's the only restaurant that faces west at the beach it is a unique experience in Bonita springs. After sunset go to the upstairs bar and get yourself a pizza and some beers. I really enjoy this place and it's also an excellent place to watch any sports games most importantly football. I usually dont leave reviews unless it is exceptional but this place is so amazing!! We came for vacation & are so glad we came here looking for a late night dinner for places that were still open! Everything was extremely delicious, the waiter Steve was very generous, enthusiatic, and kind. He recommended us to try the crab dip and we have been crazy about it and craving it since! We had an excellent experience at the Bonita Springs Pinchers. Our server, Omar, was polite, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our drinks never went empty, and he even used the classic “pardon my reach,” which shows real professionalism.
He added a fun touch by writing his name with a little fish and sunset doodle on the table liner — small details that stood out. The restaurant was spotless, the staff were friendly, and service was quick and smooth.

We visited to support the Sizzle Dining event (Sept 3-30) and so happy we did! Service and food were both so good. No matter when you visit, make sure you try the house salad. That might seem so basic, but the dressing is so delicious! All our entrees were great, with the classic Hawaiian fusion flavors Roy’s is known for. Definitely get a hot chocolate soufflé if you’re a chocolate fan - it’s fabulous.
They have a great bar area and offer an Aloha Hour. Offering their great tropical drinks and small bites. Definitely something we want to come back for.
Though it wasn’t crazy busy now, once it’s season you have to make a reservation if you want to be sure to get a table.

Dined at Roy’s last evening for the first time. We were greeted enthusiastically by all staff we passed on our way to our table. The atmosphere was AARP on a Hawaiian excursion. After being seated for over 10 minutes we finally met our waitress who got us started with a cocktail. Our waitress acted like she had somewhere else to be that night and tried to hurry our dinner. We started with the lobster pot stickers which were flavorless and were offered with a boring presentation. Our main course was the Sea Bass which was very flavorful and well presented despite being a tad under cooked. My wife enjoyed the tuna which she found to be prepared to perfection. Dessert was a pineapple upside down cake which tended to underwhelm. Might have enjoyed it more with a cup of coffee if on was offered. All in all a mediocre experience.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but very pretty inside. Great martinis and wine. We had a party of 6 and food reviews were mostly very good. Salmon and steak dishes were amazing. Our first time in Wylds’ Cafe after being in Bonita for six years. We were very pleasantly surprised how good and delicious the food is. Crisp greens and appetizing dressing made their signature salad special. The Chef’s sauces were flavorful on the fresh seafood.

This place is a hidden GEM! We arrived before 6pm on a Friday evening, there was no waiting. It was a very relaxing atmosphere, and definitely more of a high end restaurant, than a cafe. We started with the Roast Duck Napoleon appetizer, which was excellent. The best I've ever had! My wife got the salmon entree, and I got the walleye pike entree with butternut squash risotto. It was excellent! My compliments to the chef!

Haven't been here for awhile and thought I'd give it another try. I went a bit on the early side and the place had only one other set of diners. Sat at the bar and bartender was friendly & attentive. He talked about the specials they had that day (good memorization!), and chatted while I was looking over the menu.
I had a special for appetizers, duck confit quesadillas and then the triple tail for my mains. Both were very delicious and amazing. The triple tail really blew me away with its preparation and perfectly cooked texture. Delicious fish if you've never tried it, highly recommended.
It started filling up as I was eating (off-season), but my food came out very quickly. Impressed by the kitchen timing.
All in all, there wasn't a darned thing wrong with my food, service, or atmosphere while here. I would definitely recommend trying this place (doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it's beautiful!), and I'll be back more often in the future.

We had a very disappointing experience and will not be back. While the staff was very attentive and friendly, the food was incredibly salty, to a degree that we couldn’t even finish any of the courses of the $45 3-course meal we ordered. My friend and I each tried three different dishes, and all were not good. While the prawns and huli huli pork were well cooked, her sauce was too sweet and the prawns were too salty. Same for my pork. My main course was the mahi mahi, which was perfectly cooked and very tender, but again so salty that I could not finish it. The potato cake it came with lacked flavor, other than salt, and looked very unappetizing. My friend’s meal was pretty looking and well cooked but too salty. Her vegan ice cream sundae was fine except for the whipped topping which she did not eat. My taro dessert was very sweet and tasted fine, but I’m not sure what those cubes were and they didn’t add anything to the dish. Perhaps its our lack of familiarity with Hawaiian traditions, but I’m pretty sure this kind of salt level is not part of it. We ended the night with a $150 bill, which included three glasses of wine. Considering the dated and tacky ambiance, and the $25-$37 prices prices per dish, I would not recommend this restaurant. Their website gives a very different impression from what it is really like.

We walked in from the airport yesterday afternoon after picking up our son and decided to give Backwater Jacks a try for happy hour and dinner. So glad we did!! We were greeted by wonderful staff and our friendly server Jeremy who was very attentive, professional, and fun! I enjoyed the spring salad 🥗 with a pancetta vinaigrette that was absolutely delicious! It was a spring mix with apple, pecans, feta and normally includes onion(which I held) - well balanced and the perfect size!

Restaurant is very busy, birthdays , and even a marriage proposal. Lots of large parties with lots of happy people , celebrating a milestone or each other.
It stayed busy up until the time we left around 9:30PM, moderate music level, and even with all the large parties it was not difficult to carry a conversation at our table.
Lots of staff everywhere and server was kind and attentive enough.
One major knock for me is soda, tea, and lemonades are served in plastic bottles for almost $5 a pop. For $50 a person establishment this is was the only low point.
Ordered fried calamari, it came with 4 yucca fries, and some kind of purple onion topping. Portion was very large. My wife liked it , I didn’t care for it. Had a good taste and no smell, but calamari was soft. Not chewy mind you just soft. Not the way I like fried calamari.
The main course was fantastic! I had Trigoto a la huancaina wheat huancaina aji Amarillo sauce with entrana steak. Think a risotto covered in a pepper cream cheese sauce . It’s yellow but doesn’t taste like any yellow cheese I’ve had. It was amazing ! And skirt steak was not chewy. I don’t know how. it tasted flamed grilled and was perfect! It’s hard to see in the pic , easily could feed 3 people.
The wife had gauche entrana with beans and tostones. Excellent as well.
Atmosphere is Peruvian country and it works. It feels happy, warm, and inviting. Sure to be a long term Estero establishment. If our experience is typical I strongly recommend reservations even in the off season. We will be back !

We were really excited to find this place! Came twice in just a few days for takeout only. Staff is friendly and the website is easy to order from. It’s beautiful inside and we definitely want to dine in soon.
For the food: ceviche is perfect! Wow - everything you want for the Peruvian ceviche. Takeout orders also come with bread and butter, which was a nice touch. We’ve tried several plates: empanadas, skirt steak, picanha, huancaina lomo saltado and the lomo saltado so far, and the skirt steak steals the show! Very delicious. Yuca and tostones are so crispy and complement the food perfectly.
We tried 3 different deserts and we appreciate the variety, but will probably try a few others to get to experience them all.
One thing I would recommend is the packaging for the ceviche always spills inside the bag, which hasn’t been a problem for us because we’re extra careful with it, but I do think a better container could be helpful, especially since the juices are so important to the dish!

Incredible grilled steaks. We had the Churrasco de Entraña Outside Skirt Steak, Picanha Steak, and Lomo. Each was great, but the picanha was amazing. The marinade had penetrated the meat to a perfect tenderness, but the balance of tang, garlic and umami was unlike any I have had.

The food was absolutely delicious, it took us back to italy! we went earlier this year in April/May, and my husband was so delighted to taste such delicious Italian food! The focascia bread was also really delicious. Something that impresses us about italian dishes is the quality and depth of the flavors in their sauces and that was the case in this restaurant! The servers are very friendly and attentive, and has a nice rustic feel. The prices for the food is on the higher side, but the quality and the taste definitely matches! Well, I have to say we went on a hot day, not the restaurant's fault, but it was muggy outside.
The food was good with good portions. The heat just took away from the experience. They have fans, but some table locations had no airflow, so it didn’t matter; you would be warm.
The waitress was ok and good but not personable, and in the end, we had to wait nearly 15 mins to get our checks picked up after asking someone to find her.

Our group of 14 family members all had a fabulous time at this restaurant. The staff was great, and the food was very delicious. The food was brought out in the perfect amount of time without any issues. They had many gluten free options on the menu that I could pick from. I ordered the Imperial appetizer which had figs, mandarin oranges, and a sweet dressing. In addition, my salmon entree was cooked perfectly and was a large portion. The roasted vegetables were also great. Overall this restaurant was quite frankly perfect on all aspects. If they had a location up in Maryland, then I’m sure I would be a frequent visitor. We plan on coming back at least once more on my trip to Florida.
Update 12/30/2021:
We did get to come back again on our trip. We had a great experience for a second time. I’m also very pleased that they provide gluten free crackers as a substitute for bread.
Update 12/26/2023:
I was very happy to come back to this restaurant two years later, and to find that it was yet again, excellent. Surprisingly, the waiter remembered my family, and even what I had ordered two years ago. The service was great, food was delicious, and was a fantastic experience yet again.

We enjoyed a delectable array of dishes, including both West Coast and East Coast oysters, Maine lobster, and a crispy whole snapper. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with fresh and flavorful ingredients.
To top off our meal, we ordered the cheesecake and key lime pie, both of which were simply outstanding. The cheesecake was rich and creamy, while the key lime pie was perfectly tart and had a coconut macadamia crust which only enhanced the Keylime pie.
Overall, the meal was fantastic, and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend Tarpon Bay for anyone looking to enjoy an exceptional meal in a beautiful setting! Our server, Reggie did a wonderful job!

Great atmosphere and service with really good food. I had the Frutti Di Mare, which is seafood cavatelli pasta. Not really sure why it was named that. See attached pic. Made with what seemed like house made pasta and plenty of shrimp, calamari, scallops, and even a little fish of the day. First and foremost this dish was HOT temperature. I appreciate having a good hot fresh meal. Now it was also spicy to a comfortable level for me, similar to a jalapeño level. Over all very good but pricy and could have had a slightly lower ratio of pasta. I suppose that should be expected for a hotel restaurant. Really that was the only reason i didn’t give the food 5 stars, however the other three friends would say theirs was 5 stars, but of course I picked up the tab lol.
Also want to add we all had some of the speciality drinks that were delicious. The Grinning Tarpon was great.

Stayed at the Hyatt regency coconut point, so decided to give this restaurant a try. We did not make a reservation prior, but were able to get in the day of for a late 8:30 time. I do know you can book reservations while not staying at the hotel. This place was delicious and we loved the ambiance and vibe of it all.
Pictured is the calamari which was absolutely phenomenal!!! I could eat that for my meal, it was so good! They also have many types of ceviche which I loved, and tried the grouper ceviche. It was great!
For our meals we got the blackened snapper, the scallops, the lobster mac and cheese and lobster meal (which we didn’t realize came on a bed of noodles… not much lobster lol) - everything was hot, came out timely and the service was awesome. Will definitely return and highly recommend you try it and bring an empty stomach! :)

WOW, the inside is so beautifully done. Nice and modern, upscale, and bright beachy feel. Plenty of room compared to the old location.
We both did the same Sizzle Dining menu options and it was on point.

Very good place. My first time here. Food is good. Had the triple tail black and blue, w Brussel sprouts and cole slaw. I wouldnt give it a phenomenal review, but for $21 for my triple tail lunch, well worth it.

Stopped by this restaurant by chance as it was near where we were vacationing. We ordered the dry aged porterhouse steak for three. We added some mushrooms and mashed potatoes as side dishes. The meal arrived and it was presented in an awesome manner. The steak was sizzling on a hot plate and had been precut into slices, which the waiter laddled onto our plates then drizzled some of the juice from the original platter. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes went really well and added to the overall great flavor. The service was great and the wait staff was spot on with presentation and timing for refills of drinks. The atmosphere was quiet with dark red velvet curtains over the windows that contributed to the relaxing vibe. Just the right amount of background music was playing to set the mood. Prices were about what was expected at a steakhouse of this type. We all enjoyed our meal and would recommend giving it a try.

Went with a group of my coworkers when we were in town this last week for a work conference. Everything from beginning to end was simply amazing! Our server, I believe his name was Admir, was perfect! Very attentive and actually socialized with our party. He was extremely knowledgeable on the menu and able to help each of us with our questions. All of the food we received was also amazing. Steaks were perfectly cooked, sides were tasty and delicious appetizers that were great in size. The food was so delicious I tried to get pics before everyone dived in and was unable! So some of the pics aren’t representative of full portion sizes (and may have a visible bite or two shown ha) I will definitely be back again!!

Absolutely awesome, unique, fresh, and just plain good. Happy find. Shrimp cocktail (coctel de camarones) was one of the best I've ever had. It's what they do. They don't have an extensive menu of a lot of things done so so. They specialize in one thing, and it's awesome.
And when you're on vacation, it's never too early for a michelada, which is a Clamato juice and beer combination in a glass rimmed with Tajin- a salty spice mixture with lime.
The name is a little misleading in that you think it should be in Scandinavia, but this Mexican seafood joint rules.
I cannot imagine coming within 50 miles of this place and not making a detour.
