The food, atmosphere and waitstaff are always fabulous!! Typically, we like going on a weekend night because they have live music. Our waitress, Summer was warm, friendly and very attentive. We appreciated that she allowed us time to relax, eat each course slowly and enjoy the live music, without any pressure or feeling like we needed to hurry up to make room for the next guest. Back in the day, 40s and 50s, this was Frances Langford‘s Outrigger Restaurant. We started off with two appetizers because we couldn't decide. My BF ordered the alligator and I ordered the shrimp stack. I don't like alligator however I tried it and I still don't, he thought it was really good however we both agreed on the shrimp stack not having much flavor. Also they have 3 bars (I think) but lack bar food. Our waiter was Dwayne and we came for happy hour from 315pm-350pm. The only good part of the entire experience was the oysters and magic cakes. The other items we ordered were clams, mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites and chicken tenders. The pretzel bites were SO HARD. When I say these were overcooked I literally pulled one off the plate and showed Dwayne how hard it was when he checked in on us. You can HEAR how it was clearly over cooked and inedible. Dwayne did not offer to comp or provide us with any other food. I tried to eat what I could but it wasn’t even safe to give my 1 year old son. All he was able to eat was the mozzarella sticks and I gave him two bites of the magic cake. It was a not the best experience. I used to be a happy hour server and bartender in IL for several years. I typically don’t even bring up if service or food isn’t the best but with pretzel bites? I don’t understand how it was THAT overcooked. I understand it’s happy hour and you get what you pay for.. did I mention that the mozzarella sticks & chicken tenders basically felt like they were microwavable food? My niece loved the boom boom sauce chicken wings, we all then tried the sauce and loved it! A sweet chili aioli is what it basically is but really tasty!!! My crab cakes tasted fresh with no off smells or anything but a little on the mushy side(either mixed too vigorously and broke up the pieces of crabs to form the patties or used slightly cheaper crab meat that doesn't have lumps) either way enjoyable especially since I was in the mood to eat crabs after binge watching the deadliest catch show. First time trying. Recommend by my daughter to go. My husband had all you could eat crab legs and i had the bacon gouda burger. We also shared a warm peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream.The portion sizes are huge and everything was delicious. Our waitress Kelli was super nice, service excellent, always on top of refills of crab legs for my hubby. Very clean restaurant. Loved that Kelli mention everything was made from scratch.Would recommend highly you try. Also they have on Sunday's a buffet which sounds delicious also.

The waitresses were nice.. They had live music while we were there December 19. They were pretty good singers. We had the grilled oysters with the Juicy sauce on them (med), the sweet potato fries with the honey butter, fried shrimp, garlic noodles, mango margarita, etc. They were so Delicious!! If you like grilled oysters stop and get you some. They were a little expensive ($23 doz)but worth it. I can't wait to go back. I think I went four times in one week and every time I ate there I ordered the oysters and the sweet potato fries with every meal. We ordered 6 oysters first then because they were so good we ordered 6 more. The next time we ordered 12 then the next time we ordered 12 of our own 😂🤣 FYI: for the specials during the week they said you could order any day. They also have military discount. Kudos to this place. I will return and recommend your establishment. Thank you for a great experience.
