The place is clean, the staff are attentive and everything is very quick - we were under 20 minutes from ordering to all dishes being brought out. One small gripe I have is the lager I recieved was on the tepid side. It was just about drinkable but I wouldn't order it again. The cocktails, like the food, were as you would expect in a larger restaurant or a chain. Prove wise slightly higer than similar places but not expensive given the location.

We came last year (my fiancée and I) and had an unforgettable experience which changed our perspective on restaurants as a whole. After being seated, our server Rachida showed a clear lack of care about our presence within her section, and could not answer any questions asked about the menu - she couldn't even tell us the soup of the day without another server telling her. This would strike as potentially someone being new, but she clearly knew her way around the restaurant enough to not be a recent hire, she only cared about tables in her section when time came for them to open their wallets. When she came to take out drinks order, she was very blunt and uncouth with her language. When you go to an authentic French or Italian restaurant, especially one as upmarket as this, you expect a certain level of service, and that encompasses the language used whilst at the table with your guests. Starters were okay, at best. French onion soup was spiced (bizzarly), and the scallops were slightly undercooked. In hindsight, these were probably the best the kitchen could muster up, as it was only downhill from here. Mains of pork belly and sea bream were riddled with issues. I was asked how I'd like the pork cooked (asked for medium) and it came out so far beyond well done it was almost applauding - dry and lacking any meaningful seasoning. The sea bream itself was cooked nicely, but the veg on the plate were raw, as was the added side of veg. For both mains though, there were elements that were on the plates, but not on the menu - and those elements didn't work. Romaine lettuce with the sea bream, an ocean of overly-sharp balsamic dressing on the pork. These would've been issues which could've been rectified, if our server came to check on the food AT ALL during our 3 courses. Deserts were the final nail in the coffin. Ordered chocolate mousse and bavarois au citron, and these were over-engineered poncy plates of over-priced twaddle. The bavarois is advertised as having a sponge cake with it, but when it arrived it looked like someone took a cheese grater to a kitchen sponge. The chocolate shell for the mousse was uneven and far too thick, almost requiring a steak knife to cut into to even begin to consume. Overall, this is a massive disappointment. Over £60 a head, and for that you get very poor and inattentive service from a server who clearly didn't care about her section until it was time to pay, in an atmosphere which was as confusing as it was off-putting. This went from a must-eat, to an avoid-at-all-costs.

My partner and I attended for my birthday and were absolutely blown away by how decadent the food was. The oysters were the best I’ve ever had; large, velvety and smooth. The beef fell apart, the John Dory fish melted in the mouth. The green beans and tender stem were lovely and the roast potatoes (albeit a little salty) were incredible. On this occassion it was with our family to celebrate my wife and I ruby anniversary. Everything was perfect from as soon as we went through the door. We had a corner table which was ideal for our party. The food was delicious. The crab ravioli was probably the best I have tasted. The service was great too with our server going through the menu dish by dish explaining what each dish was. And, of course to compliment our delicious food with some very tasty wine, the Pecorino is highly recommended. We won't leave it so long until we visit again.

All desserts are pre made and stuck in a big oven for 5-10 minutes to warm up before serving (my partner took a video, which I will upload) Thought we would stop here for some dessert. Ordered an Oreo milkshake, Oreo waffles and churros, we got the milkshake after around 10 minutes which my partner said was okay but nothing special, waited around 20ish minutes for the other two items, had one bite out the churros which was solid like a brick and had no flavour at all, absolute disgusting I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. My partner had one bite of his waffles and it just broke up and was soggy as anything, we returned the food back and spoke to the guy quietly to tell him we wasn’t happy and would like a refund to which he got a lady to come and she took the bag away with the remaining food. The lady come back and told us she will refund for the churros and could see where we was coming from, she said she wasn’t refunding for the waffles as apparently my partner had ate half. My partner had to take the box and ask at least 6 customers waiting for their desserts if it looked like half he had ate which they all agreed with us that it was one bite. The lady finally agreed to refund us for the waffles also but told us we had to wait until closing time. Definitely won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Took half the sandwich home but couldn’t eat it so it went in the bin. Biggest waste of money. I’ve had better in a £3 meal deal in Tesco. The service was alright but our coffees came with no spoons and had to use a knife. Over priced, over hyped. Certainly won’t be back. Ripped seats as well which wasn’t too appealing either.
