The place looked amazing, the service was 10/10. The brother who served us knew about the menu and gave his recommendations after asking what we normally like to have. And the desserts were absolutely delicious. I had the chocolate waffle which was crisp on the outsideand fluffy on the inside, the toppings were generous, mate had the pistachio waffle which was really nice aswel and another had the cruffle. The first time I had a prawn starter and a pizza, both were full of flavour. On my second visit I tried the bruschetta (honestly the best I’ve ever had!) and the mushroom pasta, which was rich and delicious. The desserts are really good too, and the strawberry lemonade was very refreshing. The staff are always so friendly, polite and welcoming and the place has a lovely vibe in general. The only thing I’d change is I wish they served alcohol, as I’d definitely be more inclined to stick around longer. Other than that, the food and atmosphere are spot on, definitely some of the best food I have had in a Digbeth!

Never have i had to queue to get in to a cafe, but the wait wasnt too long. A cosy welcoming little cafe seems family run and the staff are very nice and friendly. We opted for the Full breakfast at £14.95, with 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 poached eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and 2 toast, you are able to have omelette instead of the poached eggs. It was packed so you definitely should book a table. We shared a mezze of vegan dishes. Falafels which were crispy but light and fluffy inside and perfectly spiced. We had drinks and it cost around £25 each and we were not hungry when we left. Service was great, very attentive but not pestering. My only critism was there was only one vegan dessert on offer, vanilla ice cream so we did not bother. We would definitely return and highly recommend. Great for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters.

They showed us the different types of steak and recommended us, telling us the background of Argentina explaining how they get their steaks and it was very interesting as I’m a steak lover. The food was 10/10, it was brilliant filled with different flavours and cooked to perfection. I’ve never had a steak as good as gauchos, the atmosphere was authentic and aesthetic, it just makes it so much better. The manager George was great along side his colleague Raphael were brilliant during the evening, they took care of us and made my birthday dinner special. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to everyone and steak lovers. Great work!

I ordered a Very Cherry mainly because I love Cherries and looking at the picture it clearly has the cherries plus it says on the menu too. But when it arrived, there were none. To give benefit of doubt, I started eating and hoping at least a few will appear. But I was disappointed and when I asked the staff who served me, his blunt reply was, run out of cherries. And the second time we tried to explain it tasted really bad, like bleach, she just went on saying “lots of people say it tastes like chemicals but it may just be the chemicals used in the sprinkles” and that they don’t make the recipe in a defensive way rather than a “how can we make this better” customer service way. We go here a lot so we are quite upset at this experience. Things can go wrong and it’s fine, but the 2 blonde ladies working here (Monday around 9.30pm) were rude and didn’t believe us and made us feel like we’re just complaining to get free things. It went quite until today 21st August and the said fed ex delivery updates as does miss macaroon auto reply email that my order is on my way. So from all that faffing about and fed ex literally going around the houses & far, from Birmingham / Newcastle / london ( Kingsbury ) to Wellingborough. To finally getting to me. Talk about stress. Now onto the macaroons , nicely packaged but some macaroons were damaged. Also they put lemon in there which i didn't want or ask for. Reason for custom pick ye own. Now ive had many great tasting macaroons, and i love them. But these were different in taste & flavour & texture , they were dry & stale like & not very nice or tasty. 1 flavour was nice. But the rest it was disappointing to say the least. I feel i wasted £31 on these. And it was not worth the money or stress that came with buying these. I can honestly say ive never had a bad macaroon until today. And i had 14 and 1 of 14 was only nice. After tasting each of them i was left unsatisfied & unfilled. Its a shame because i wanted to put my support in this wee business but it was not to be. I won't buy here again & all i can say is using fed ex is not the best delivery company or method. And having a short expiry date too. The freshness & taste goes out the window. And leaves not much to be desired for.
