We had a few oysters to start with the Vietnamese dressing which was a surprisingly nice way to have oysters. Perfectly balanced. Then we had the scallops and the king prawns. The scallops were massive, so tender and paired perfectly with the puree. The prawns were again, absolutely huge and came with sourdough which soaked up all of the sauce and aioli. For mains we had monkfish and swordfish. Both were outstanding. I preferred the monkfish just because of how meaty and juicy It was but you can't really go wrong. I saw the seafood platter on another table and that looked amazing too, so we'll be back for that! Overall I'd say one of the best dining experiences I've had in Chorlton. The place looked gorgeous with all the plants. We were served by a lovely middle aged lady. The sardines from the small plates were delicious served with a side root salad not overpowering the fish. But felt a little let down by the rest. Could not taste much on The cuttlefish and the veal dish. Both were too soft felt as if it was mixed with something. Felt like eating mash potatoes. Not much flavour either. The creams were too overpowering. Looked forward to the halibut but the creamy sauce was too much and ruined the flavour overall and I love sauces but that combination didn’t quite match. We were forced to this dodgy pub and were waiting there for a good 30 mins, spent money on drinks because we were so thirsty and hungry from waiting. The waiter then comes in and tells us our table is ready and to bring the drinks we had from the pub with us. We asked the manager if the live lobster was actually fresh and alive, he said yes it’s 100% fresh and the large lobster weighs about 1KG but because of the inconvenience we had with waiting he’d give us a large one for the price of a medium. Great. They then ran out of king crabs and when we ordered the fried seafood platter they were out of crab rolls so we substituted for fish fingers. All ordered and was told the wait would be no longer than 20 mins. By 9:30 our food was still not here, we were sat right by the bar and kitchen expressing how hungry we were considering we’d been waiting since 8pm, so we asked for the fried platter first but the manager ensured us our food was coming. 15 mins later our seafood boils comes. The large lobster he promised us was medium sized if that and definitely was not live that day as the meat was salty and weird texture. The brown crab was cooked properly but not much meat. The snow crab legs were skinny and again, lacked actual leg meat. The Cajun sauce was nice. We were literally half way through our seafood boil and our fried platter had still not arrived, we asked the manager multiple times to which he just kept going to the kitchen window and asking the chefs. A whole 20 mins it comes and was so underwhelming, the batter was thick not crispy and soggy on the inside, they had no flavour at all. Not worth the wait. The paella was appalling, dry and no flavour. Then comes the bill at 10:45pm, at the end we were charged £7 for byob. Confused I asked what this was and turns out it was being your own beer. Sorry? We were getting charged without our knowledge for bringing our half finished glasses that we spent money on because we were forced to wait in a dodgy pub because there was no waiting space in the restaurant and the waiter literally said to bring the drinks with us to the restaurant it’s fine. Crazy. I deffo think the prices are extortionate for the quality they offer and due to our long experience I don’t think we’ll be coming back.

Upon arrival, staff were very polite and attentive. Decor was cute but overall the toilets stand out the most! However I was very underwhelmed by the food served after hearing how nice it was. I enjoyed the meal. I really wanted to experience the beauty of this restaurant and reserved it for 4 people but instead of being in a spot where we could see the atmosphere we were in a small booth. It was nice as it was private and elegant but we couldn't see the main attraction and it was so dark in the booth that we couldn't take any good photos even with the flash on. I ordered the desert at the start but had to wait an extra 10mins at the end for it which was quite frustrating as my two friends didn't order a desert. Then the pudding was small with 3 tiny slices of pear. The food portions were quite small for the price and they added extra expenses. Such as £5 for water. We thought it was free as they offered it to us. Also a service charge of £27. In total every cost £244 which is way more than it was worth. The duck rolls were tiny, and I only got 3 for £13. Honestly I won't be going back, I ended up ordering a food delivery later that night because I was still hungry. For mains my Wife opted for the Tandori Grill Lamb chops which she ordered with a side order of Triple cooked fries, I ordered the drunken noodles which came with Katsu Chicken dumplings, My Wife really enjoyed her Lamb chops and all the different spices went really well with the Lamb and my Drunken noodles 🍜 were absolutely amazing all the different textures and spices were amazing and tasted out of this world, The noodles were fresh and the bean sprouts, corn, peppers, chillies, Green beans etc were amazing the spices really complimented the noodles and Chicken dumplings etc. The service from Satu(Our waiter) was exceptional, best service of anywhere in the World where we have eaten hands down. The drinks were good but the mango and coconut was a tad bit sugary but the Tiger milk was absolutely fantastic. The couple next to us had their food brought swiftly and then their table was cleared immediately after they were done while ours was still cluttered more than an hour after we were done. The food we had was nice. But overall a poor experience. This is not really the fault of the on the ground staff but I think management really need to look at their offering against what else is out there on the market. Long read: We came to Peter street kitchen for the omakase menu. At the time of booking they offered two - a standard omakase menu with wine pairing for £130PP or a premium omakase menu with pairing for £200PP. We had opted for the premium. Upon arrival we were told that this option was no longer available so we'd have to have the standard omakase or opt to go a la carte. This is annoying as we had a preference for some of the dishes on the premium menu but so be it. I feel this could have been communicated to us ahead of time rather than on arrival. Not the fault of the staff greeting us but started off with a disappointment. We were seated, though when we were shown to our table it was only made up for 5 and there were 6 of us on the reservation. We then opted to go for the standard omakase rather than a la carte. Our waitress was lovely and asked us if we'd like to have a cocktail before the food/wine started. We said yes. The waitress went away but by the time somebody came back to take our drinks order (it didn't feel particularly long) other staff had already brought our first course and wine pairing, feels like poor communication. We opted against the cocktail since it would disturb the flow of the wine. Lost revenue for the restaurant and a worse experience for us. Course two - our wine pairing was forgotten until we asked about it. We had to make an effort to reserve some of the dish to have with the wine when it arrived. From then on it was fairly uneventful but it did seem like the staff were very busy and people didn't have time to be attentive - at no point did anybody take any time to explain the dishes to us or the wine (beyond repeating the name of the dish back to us from the menu). The chap who delivered our wine didn't even tell us where the wine was from simply 'and here is your Chardonnay'. Again there is nothing wrong with this but it's hardly premium... Your website mentions your expert somelier - they should be giving the wait staff some tips/tasting notes on the wines they are serving as a bare minimum. Even better some explanation as to why they pair with each course! It was an okay wine selection though! 1 sake, 1 red, 3 white and 1 plum wine. Couldn't tell you much about it though! The wine measures seemed quite small but thats not always a bad thing. If you look at this offering and the price point it's a small-ish menu (6 dishes and not a single carb) there was nothing to really wow you it just doesn't feel like good value. Comparing it to the level of experience and service you get from somewhere like Sampa, restaurant Orme or even Six by Nico it just does not compare... So id just like to reiterate, the food was tasty. The staff were all polite and friendly, but at the price point it really is not worth doing their 'omakase - chef led tasting experience' - stick to a la carte as there really is no experience. If you want a good tasting menu there are plenty of places in Manchester doing equally good or better food but with an infinitely better experience for less money.

Our set menu meal was beautifully crafted so we could taste all aspects of Japanese food. The teriyaki salmon was fresh and packed with flavour. While the vegetable tempura melted in our mouths. A hidden restaurant underground between subway. Didn’t realise it’s a full vegetarian Indian restaurant. Ordered one of each that was recommended from the Bundo menu. I had the BUNDO CHAAT £6.75 - loved this, however it was just samosa pastry with sauces and chickpeas. PANEER TIKKA £8.50 - loved this, cheese and veg grilled skewers,. PANEER KADAI £8.50 - cheese in tomato curry sauce, it was so overpriced, but it came with a bread, it was far too spicy without any warning, so had to leave this dish. It’s around £6-8 per dish, a side and a drink. My order total came to £37 😭 it was definitely far more than I expected to spend on such small dishes. Overall, I felt it was really overpriced as there was was no meat in the dishes and portion size was small. It did taste good, so Maybe would be favourable for the veggies, but I did feel it was not worth it. Especially when I had ordered quite a bit and staff didn’t advise that it came with a bread. No additional carbs was required, a lot went to waste. Atmosphere was great, quiet with some music in background. Great for catch ups.

The menu had a lot of options to choose from and the staff were extremely friendly. We started with Puri, which came with 5 different accompaniments. We then had the seafood boil for 2, and we were not disappointed. The selection of seafood was incredible, prawns, muscles, snow crab, brown crab, crayfish tail, baby potatoes, corn on the cob, and boiled egg. You are asked your spice level before it gets cooked so you can decide which suits you best. It comes with a side of chips, rice and a extra bowl of dipping sauce. If you want one of the best meals you have ever had, make sure to pay them a visit. The only issue we encountered was with the online booking system, which was not allowing us to book. But we gave tje restaurant a call and left a message, and they called us straight back, and we booked with ease. Parking isn't great, but there is a multi-storey carpark about a 3 minute walk away, and there is some street parking. To start, we shared a tomato and cheese garlic bread – and it was huge! Generously portioned, packed with flavour, and the perfect way to kick things off. The service was great. The portion size was good. It was fresh. The fish was perfectly cooked, nice flavour and crisp on batter, and good size. The chips were the perfect chippy chips. Not too thin.
