Definitely make a reservation because this restaurant is quite popular and it was packed when we visited.
The service was okay. A few things that we requested (bread for example) required multiple reminders and by the time it arrived, it was too late.
The 4 course prix-fixe menu was so affordable that it'd be hard to beat that price for what you get. The desserts were solid. Seafood options were comparatively better than the meat options but their cocktails and wine pairing didnt meet our expectations.
Overall still a great restaurant to try because the food is very affordable and filling and the restaurant is quite cozy.

❤️Maggie was our waitress. She was wonderful, very personable and able to keep up with our banter and request. Our food came out in a timely matter and she checked back to see how things were going. We did the four course meal along with the wine paring for each entrée, it was well matched, the food is very good. The four course meal is very satisfying and the price can't be beat. We also learned you can request Maggie as your waitress and table 305 in the bar has a lovely ambience. I would high recommend requesting Maggie she made our evening memorable. If you are visiting Whistler or are a local... make a reservation, you will not regret it.

It’s a busy bakery. However quality is amazing ! I got the Lemon Basil Blueberry Scone and it’s really good !
also the iced latte is good pair with sweet pastry…
However for the service… we asked for the Chocolate Fudge Babycake but the staff gave us the Vegan Double Chocolate babycake… it’s pretty good tho but we wanted a diffrent one.
Now I understand what the hype is about.

All of the pastries and savory treats looked fresh and delicious. The service was fast and the employees were kind. We got the country apple cake and veggie sausage roll. The sausage was roll was finished before I took a picture! The country apple cake was really good, lots of apple and not too sweet. The only suggestion I have is to add decaf option to the coffee choices, otherwise everything else was great.

I visited the coffee shop yesterday and had a mixed experience.
The Caffè Latte was excellent- well-made and definitely the highlight of the order.
However, the scone I was served was a major disappointment. Despite seeing the beautiful, glazed scones on display (like the Raspberry White Chocolate Scone), the one I received felt like it was pulled from the back. It was dry, cold, and not offered to be warmed up.

As it says in the name you’re greeted by a red door to enter!
Inside you’re met with warmth and dim lighting. It feels like a late night before Christmas as you have drinks and catch up with old friends.
We’re greeted by a warm smile and nice conversation.
The restaurant is cozy and the kitchen is open like its mama cooking for you. The chefs were calm and quiet as they seamlessly executed service.
We ordered a lot of items so here’s a quick overview with my personal ratings.
For starters:
Mushrooms & Polenta: 9.7/10
Right up my alley, texture was phenomenal, flavours all combined perfectly on the palate.
Duck Confit Spring Rolls: 8.8/10
Crunch, savoury, the red currant and puree had me constantly going back for more. Delicious.
Onion Tart: 7.5/10
Wasn’t my cup of tea per say but the rest of table loved it!
Blue Dungeness crab cake (special): 8.5/10
This was on special so you might not be able to get it but it was fantastic. Had some peoples eyes rolling into the back of their heads from enjoyment!
Mains:
Cascade Mountain Steelhead: 9.8/10
This was my main and wow wow wow the plate was gone in 1 minute! The savoury lemony beurre Blanc paired with beluga lentils could have been a soup alone and I would have wanted 4 bowls. The Steelhead seared to perfection and the apple/fennel salad on top adding a dash of freshness. Absolutely fantastic and would recommend.
New York Steak: 9:10
Amazing cut of meat, can’t really go wrong with a classic. Decent portion sizing!
Sakura Pork: didn’t get to try but they absolutely loved it.
Venison: same for the venison didn’t get to try but they loved every bite.
My only complaint would be the sliding placemats on the table are quite inconvenient, and it did get very hot in there being so cozy!
I came in thinking it was just going to be the same old French cuisine and not done creatively.
I left presently surprised and a customer for life. The service was flawless, the food fantastic, everything met expectations or even better, the atmosphere hitting just perfectly.

Fabulous food- service was impeccable from the minute we walked in. We were greeted by Sean- he was very welcoming and very accommodating. Our server, Sarah, gave us great food and wine recommendations. The pork dish and the braised short ribs were cooked perfectly and so tender and flavorful. Had a lovely Chardonnay to accompany that. Save room for the peanut butter bomb! Highly recommend this charming and family- owned restaurant. Was our favorite find in Whistler.

An alright dining experience for a special occasion.
At this price point I would say my expectations are a bit higher. The atmosphere and service is very casual, the dining table we were at was wobbly, and overall the flavour profile of each dish was good but nothing notable.
We opted for a few specials of the night. Scallops and NY steak are a bit salty, with the medium-rare steak leaning more medium. Not comparable to steak in Vancouver.
The salad and dessert were solid. The creme brulee was creamy and the cheesecake had a nice fig flavour that was a good level of sweet and tart.
Overall, an okay experience but there is a lot left to be desired.

This place is one of my favorite restaurants, it deserves a chef's kiss on all levels!
The food is out of this world and I highly recommend ordering their braised short ribs, a slow-cooked masterpiece that transforms into something luxurious and delicious. The meat is absolutely tender and falls apart into velvety strands, with each bite melting in my mouth.

Went to the Red Door Bistro out of convenience while staying at Nita Lake Lodge next door. Now I'd definitely go back as a destination restaurant while in Whistler. Absolutely everything on our plates was top notch, excellent quality food with an abundance of flavor, and service was second to none. I would 100% recommend if youre in the area.

Best meal on our Whistler trip, hands down. Great food, and an open kitchen. Saucy staff, though they exude an upbeat, high-energy vibe.
Two cautions: the bistro-height chairs. Not my favourite. And the temperature (which I know can be hard to regulate in the shoulder season) was rising throughout the evening, making it overly warm and necessitating propping open a window.
Reservations are required. Parking is very limited.

Very friendly service, and great food!
The Duck Confit Spring Rolls were good, but nothing amazing.
Sakura Pork was yummy, nothing incredible, but a very solid meal.
They had a Halibut Special and it was absolutely perfect.
Had the creme brulee for dessert and the sugar was a little too toasted. Solid option, but I wish it wasn't so charred.
All in all, had a great meal. Everything was good, but the Halibut was next level.
Parking was easy. They have spaces out front and if those fill up there should be more street parking in the area, but I had a Friday, July 4th reservation at 7:45pm and got a space right out front.

A different and unique food experience in Whistler. The pies are very hearty and there is usually a good selection. Add on the peaked option (mash potatoes, mushy peas, gravy) for more delicious bites. Pies have good flavour and not too salty. The inside is very small and tight so grab your order to go and eat at a bench, table wherever when the weather is nice ( the takeout boxes are very sturdy so will travel well).

We visited Wild Blue to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely worth the 3-hour drive to get there. We had the Prix Fixe menu, and every course was beautifully made with great balance and flavor. Had a fantastic experience. The room is absolutely beautiful. As soon as we opened the wine menu the sommelier was at our table to chat. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable. The Prix Fixe menu was very well executed and the wine pairings were perfect. The desserts were a standout to an exceptional dinner.
There was a problem with our OpenTable reservation not showing up in the system despite us having received confirmation and proof of the reservation. Wow - the photos online of this place don’t do it justice. It is absolutely stunning inside and the decorations are high end and modern. Stepping in here feels like everything a whole new level of experience.
The bar is the centrepiece of this restaurant and it is absolutely beautiful. The bartenders also taught me a few things about their craft, what they use, and how they create certain drinks, which is a fun experience when you sit at the bar.
The food is also well made and delicious! Absolutely a treat to dine here, and have a fine dining experience.

Came to BC to visit my brother for my 50th birthday. A girl I work with used to work in Whistler and recommended you guys.
My brother is a bit of food snob and an introvert but because I’m the oldest and it being my birthday he gave in and booked us a spot at the bar. Me personally I love the bar, I’ve served and bartended for 30 years and I love being front row and center of all the action.
From the time we sat down, our bartender made us feel welcome and was super informative. We asked her name but I totally forget it (young, long brown hair and glasses)
We were there 2.5 hours, did the 4 course meal.

I’m from Nova Scotia and not only will I be back, but you will be highly recommended to all I know visiting Whistler.

We went there for the ~$43/44 meal as we wanted to try the menus. Would make a reso as they fill up days in advance and wait times can be 1+ hr. Food was good, both entrees in my opinion did not go together well (on the plate). For example, we got the ling cod, where the fish was warm but the rest of the plate was cold (probably plating) and it had this thick dark sauce (it almost looked like squid ink), and it coated the vegetables (specifically the leek and the shiso pepper?). The service was good, but the pace between plates was way too slow, like we’d sit there for 10+ minutes in between dishes. I’d say their appetizer/salads and desserts were the star of the show.

My crepe (Belle Helene) was raw tasting and left a lingering flour taste. Overall dish were very average, if not slightly below. A taste I cannot justify at this price point. I expected better. Mine did come with a good poached pear, which was perfectly cooked. Still bright and refreshing. But the crepe ruined it. Chocolate sauce tasted store bought and not made in house. Vanilla icecream was the same, nothing to write home about.
Don't get me wrong, I think you can corporate mass producing ingredients into perfectly good comfort dishes with the right balance. But this was not it. It left me feeling like I was having a thoughtless dish, cheaply put together and made into a fancy dish with a touch of poached pear.
The bratwurst on the side was pretty good, probably the only thing I actually like. I don't recall now but the herb in there was pretty on point. But at $6 for such a small portion (doesn't appeared to even be a link worth) left me questioning the portion size.
The whole service was very messy. The waitresses kept asking each other what's what and they just all seems very confused. They seems to be trying so I want to praise them for effort but it doesn't make for a good dining experience. One of the waitress almost drop the hot mocha on me because her hand was super shaky.
This place is definitely not for me, and I doubt I would return. It was nice to go once though.

Let me start by saying I've worked and been married into the service industry for over a decade. I say this with a great disappointment and I'm insulted by what we experienced here today. I don't know if they're just having an off day or what but it's as if it was the whole staffs first day on earth today. My brother got the Florentine eggs Benedict and it was a gross heap of wet plain spinach on an untoasted English muffin. The egg pan is clearly too hot and the hash brown pan was clearly too cold. I like crispy bacon but not burnt bacon for the price. The only good thing was the maple latte. Our server never checked on us and everyone was like a zombie, it was so bizarre. I genuinely regret not speaking up while there but it didn't seem like it would have mattered if I had. For the whole staff to clearly not care whatsoever is obviously the fault of management who themselves must not care and cannot encourage anyone here to care or be proud about the services provided.

I had many different dishes, pastries, and coffee for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from this place. It was more delicious than I expected. Breakfast bowl was yummy. We were looking for a healthy bowl of porridge and ended up at Portobello. We almost walked out when we saw the dark interior with large directional signs like "order here". This is a place the processes lots of people and food. Most everything was pre-cooked except for the avocado which was cut fresh for the toast. Brown sugar and very dried raisins were sprinkled on the lukewarm steel cut oat porridge. Good thing I asked for sugar on the side, which, incidentally I did not get — oh well — I wouldn't have used it anyways. We sat on bar stools to watch the single cook in action. and concluded that we didn't like any of pre-cooked food that were served up. For the avocado toast, the order desk person insisted that they would personally explain our order to the kitchen which we saw happen, but instead of the sour dough bread we requested, the toast tasted and looked like disgusting gluten free white bread which taste like melamine board, so we didn't eat the 'toast'. This was a waste of time and money. Online pictures don't always tell the story. And we should have known better than to go to a questionable untried place when we were too hungry to find another option.

I’ve been to Splitz Grill twice before and had a decent experience, but something has seriously gone downhill. Yesterday, I took my family there expecting Whistler’s “best burger,” and we ended up having one of the worst food experiences we’ve had in Canada.
We ordered three sandwiches—we couldn’t even finish half. The bread was stale, the yam and french fries looked and tasted old. I asked them to replace the fries, and the second batch was just as bad. There’s no refund option, and the quality is far below even fast-food franchises.

A must visit after a long hike or a beach day. The staff are all very friendly and the interior is clean. There is plenty of seating inside and out.

I came here all the time when I lived in Whistler and everything was always so good (especially the sourdough cinnamon buns). My partner and I were just in Whistler for the weekend and we decided to stop in for one of the Where’s Waffle days. Stopping at BReD has become a traditional thing for us (my partner and I) whenever we travel up to Whistler. Even if we're planning on just going up to Squamish, we'll sacrifice time to go up to BReD, because it's absolutely amazing. If I lived in Whistler, this place would be deadly. I always tell people if they're driving up this way to stop, because it's probably one of my favourite places in Whistler (and to get me something).
The last time we bought sourdough starter (which I haven't gotten around to starting yet!), a bunch of treats, and fresh bread. This time, however, we went with our friends and I ended up getting a tartine, a cinnamon bun, and a latte. The tartine was something I've had before, and never disappoints- it's the perfect breakfast/lunch snack, which definitely kept me full for the majority of the afternoon.
We always end up dropping around $20-50 per person, depending on what we want, which is almost everything. And don't let that scare you, because its worth it.

After our backcountry hike, I was so excited to finally go to BRED Organic sourdough. I bought Ed’s book last year and I was hooked with sourdough. My starter is actually named “Ed” 😬. I live in the Okanagan so I’ve always wanted to try their baked goods from the bakery. The waffles were amazing and it did not disappoint, crispy and soft/chewy in the inside and fruit was so fresh and not too sweet. I also got the matcha and just the perfect balance not too sweet and just right. We also got some treats to go a chocolate chip cookie and some almond, raspberry, it was all so good, you can taste that they use good quality ingredients. Everything is plant-based so I don’t have to worry about dairy in the baked goods, recyclable containers and a B certified company. The staff were all so kind and happy to be there! If you’re ever in Whistler definitely make a stop at the bakery in Creekside Village you won’t be disappointed!

We had the set dinner for $35 and it was pretty good value. Although there were only one other table all night while we were there, it took the chef half an hour to make the main Course. The salad was not bad but was mixed with some wilted green with the romaine lettuce, and the onion soup was cold and very salty and has to be sent back to the kitchen to remake. The beef sirloin was not bad , although a little bit tough. But the chicken with mushroom and noodle was really good. Dinner for 4 diners was "good". The Baja fish tacos were tasty and plentiful , I only wished the fish was not fried and battered like a fish stick. The mushroom soup was very salty and devoid of a fresh mushroom flavour. Sweet potato chips were cooked well and quite flavourful. Side salads were quite tasty and satisfying. Service was efficient and friendly. This is not a five star restaurant and this should not be a surprise to anyone. The menu was not very comprehensive and mainly had pub type foods.

Stopped in for ice cream at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Whistler Village and was honestly pretty let down. I ordered two scoops — one chocolate chip cookie dough chocolate and one cookie dough vanilla — and paid close to $10. For that price, I expected decent-sized scoops and better quality. Got the famous grizzly paw caramel apple and rocky road fudge. I asked for the apple to be cut in-store but it was cut so awkwardly that it was very difficult to enjoy. Fresh huge cookies seem to be their specialty, I saw the raspberry and chocolate chip oatmeal cookie when I went.
Got a latte and it was decent, not bad but maybe I wanted more from a coffee house. We had a muffin and although it was a nice flavor, it wasn't very fresh.
They did have a lot of rush for a small space (since it's winter and maybe attract a lot of crowd that gets off the bus and wants something hot to drink) so that might have something to do with our experience.

There was only really one choice on the menu for Canada Day breakfast - the O'Canada waffle, piled high with bacon, slathered in maple syrup, and accompanied by a mug of fresh, steaming hot coffee.

I came here with my parents and had a net positive experience here despite the 3 stars. It's a small place, with about 3 tables inside and 3 outside, but they do provide real plates, cutlery, etc for dining in. The staff were very friendly.
They were out of a few things - no more oatmeal and only one serving of matcha left when we all wanted matcha, but the alternatives that we went with were still appealing, so it wasn't a big deal.
The one matcha went to my mom, and it seemed like she got the scraps of it because it looked and tasted pretty watery. I got a chai latte which was pretty good but a little grainy.
The food on the other hand was really good. I got the buckwheat pancakes and tried some of the smoothie bowl. The pancakes were hearty and fluffy, topped with a delicious berry chia jam and cashew cream. The plate came with 3 small-ish pancakes which was a satisfying portion that wasn't too much. We were also asked if we wanted maple syrup with the pancakes, but I ended up not needing to add any because the jam and cream were enough. Maple syrup is $2 for a small cup so I would recommend skipping it unless you really want something sweeter. The jam and cream are just modestly sweet which was perfect for me. The blueberry smoothie bowl was also delicious and came with lots of toppings - their granola had a delightful texture.
It was a bit of a wait for food, so ordering the breakfast plates is probably not the best option if you're in a hurry, but they have ready-to-eat stuff available if you do want something quick, and the drinks didn't take long.
I would have liked to return if I were in Whistler longer to try more of their food menu.

I was so grateful to find vegan, gluten-free and organic food in Whistler. I ordered three different dishes with my family and the matcha latte and am so sad to say that I was unimpressed by all of them. The food was very bland (just veggies complied together) with a really heavy garlic sauce. It all lacked flavour. We were really disappointed with the food here. Both the wrap and pancakes were really tasteless. The description of the wrap seemed promising but it was just hummus (not good) and a huge amount of shredded carrots wrapped together with no salt, no sauce and no taste. Disappointing that the store was closed when we visited the 2nd week of July. Sign on door indicates to place and order and they will deliver it - well that sign is misleading as it sounds like the people in the store will fill your order and then deliver it. Instead, you have to order from Victoria and it will then get couriered from Victoria to the address specified. We tried ordering from Victoria to get the chocolates to be delivered prior to leaving but the website was not working and would not accept orders so we gave up. It is too bad as there were A LOT of people wanting to go to Rogers Chocolates - we would watch them from our balcony as we were staying above in the Towne Place Suites.

Terrible experience at this Starbucks in Whistler Village. The customer service was shockingly bad—especially from the brunette girl working the till who appeared to be Eastern European. She wasn’t wearing a name tag (odd, since every Starbucks employee I’ve ever encountered is required to wear one), which was the first red flag.
We asked if they could make a French Vanilla—a super common drink at Starbucks, even if it goes by another name. She looked at us like we were speaking another language. We literally had to call a Starbucks supervisor we know from Port Coquitlam to walk her through how to make it. That’s how little she seemed to know about her own job.
Worse than her lack of knowledge was her attitude. She was dismissive, eye-rolling, and flat-out rude. No greeting, no smile, no sense of customer care whatsoever. Honestly, if you don’t like dealing with people, you shouldn’t be working at Starbucks—especially not in a tourist-heavy location like Whistler Village.
Won’t be returning to this location. Do yourself a favour and get your coffee anywhere else.

Honestly the most delicious gelato I’ve ever had. Met the owner, Tanc, and he was a super nice guy—I was lucky enough to try an assortment of flavours and the vegan coconut cookies & cream was my favourite! But they were ALL scrumptious. Hadn’t been to BC in several years and a friend recommended that I try Lucia Gelato ice cream and wow, I was not disappointed! This is now my “go to” ice-cream in Whistler! They sell their pints at most of the grocery stores in town. Several dairy free/ vegan options as well, which my wife very much appreciated. Can't wait to catch them at the Roundhouse this summer when we’re back in Whistler!
