We decided to try the place again for a joint bday celebration carvery. It went like this- Couldn’t get our seats at the table we booked because it’s like they need your drink order immediately you’re in the door, even with a disabled elderly lady within our party and wanting to seat the children. Had to wait ages to get up to the carvery and others who came in after were told to go up before us! Went up to get the last kids carvery to find they had messed that up and put an adult one through instead. The roast potatoes were the over crunchy fried remains of what we can only assume was some potatoes earlier. There were no fresh potatoes bought out till well over an hour after we arrived so the horse had already bolted shall we say! Also if you like thick snot consistency gravy….you’ll love theirs! One of our party ordered a cookie dough dessert that was small…..took them about 30 mins at least to bring it out. We were at the point of asking for refund. Our table was booked for 13.45…..and desserts were only being eaten at 15.30 as the service is horrific and the staff attitudes are not much better. Gross sticky tables….every time my elbow rested on it, it became stuck to it. Won’t bother returning again, there’s better establishments locally that’s for sure! Don’t waste your time going here.

Sunday lunch is a carvery with a choice of four meats and a good selection of vegetables which you help yourself to. You may need to book a table for this. We had a pleasant stay and would not hesitate to return.

The second visit was worse than the first , in regard to the lack of cleanliness in the room , the pillows were saggy & gross , it actually felt like the bedding hadn't been changed , it smelt & felt like it had been slept in , I found further bedding underneath the bed , so put that over the bottom sheet . the bathroom could've done with a good clean , the whole experience felt grubby , the landlord/lady didn't engage , never asked us if everything was ok, no effort was made to be hospitable . Although , it's an ideal spot , we will not be staying there again .

Dottie and Chloe were totally amazing how they helped me . They looked at the orders and sorted everything out and then told me about the meal deals .
