They said food would take 20 minutes because of the kitchen being busy, however it came out around 10 minutes later. 😊

I wanted to say family friendly but it really is the beautiful care and attention they give to every age group & need from the colouring pages for the kiddos to the time spent talking to the elderly and the little touches like low mirrors in the toilets for the disabled. Service was so friendly being greeted, shown to our seats, explaining how they work & having time to chat while promptly clearing away. It's so nice to see a family owned business thriving in a town centre and the way that Simon spoke about his team was really lovely. Our breakfasts were delivered at super speed and my fiancé was so impressed with my Pineapple Sunset Smoothie (made so clearly from real fruit) that he nearly abandoned his cappuccino! Arrived fairly quickly and hot. The service staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed. You order via a qr code at the table which is convenient I suppose but means you have little to no interaction with the service staff. So I find it quite cheeky that the order asks if you want to add on a tip. The ordering style really effects the atmosphere when ordering as a group too. It's quite segregating. I can't imagine how difficult it is for the chefs to see 8 separate orders come in for the same table and manage to get the food out at the same time. The decor is similar to all other lounges, funky and warm. This lounge could do with a deep clean. Tables were sticky, sofas stained and chairs in need of a wipe. There was also no toilet paper in the ladies for most of the evening despite several customers asking. We were here for the weekly quiz and still thoroughly enjoyed.

I’ve been here previously (a few years ago) and it’s always been high quality and really good. But it appears to have gone downhill. The eggs were very burnt and my friend had shell in hers. My bacon was pretty much raw on one side and burnt as hard as wood on the other and my eggs were also burnt. My friend had eaten about 2/3 of hers before finding egg shell so she was told she can’t have a refund because she had eaten too much, she explained that she didn’t start eating the egg and find the egg shell and how burnt it was underneath until then. I had only eaten about 1/4 of my food before finding and being put off by the issues. But they wouldn’t give me a refund either and they couldn’t say I had eaten too much of it so they didn’t even give me a real reason why I couldn’t have a refund. Their attitude towards us wasn’t great. They were immediately defensive and I got the vibe that they were told to refuse refunds no matter what. We were very polite about it and they acted like we were chancers and our reasons weren’t valid. The eggs were absolutely cremated and inedible. The manager tried to say that we should have said straight away when they brought it out… so my friend was supposed to find shell in her egg without touching the food? A lot of the issues were hidden until we started getting through it. We never complain when going out for food but it really was awful. It would have been nice if it was cooked properly and more care taken but it was cooked appallingly. Not what you expect when paying £10 for a breakfast that I couldn’t even eat. Will never visit again.

I just wish I had got the name of the company as by all accounts the plaster didn't turn up and everything else went wrong and they have to take there toiletries out of the bathroom every night and go round their Nan's everyday etc before the man went sick with an injury as they don't sound a great company either. I doubt I will visit this establishment again.

Not only that but my husband had eaten his by the time mine arrived. He wanted to wait so we could eat together but his would have been cold by the time mine came. Sadly the plates were stone cold so the food went cold very quickly, no one came to ask if everything was OK....surprising after what happened so far. We decided not to have a drink after the meal because of our complete disappointment in the service so far, we also thought we would have been offered a drink or a percentage off the bill because of our experience. Needless to say we weren't offered anything voluntarily so I asked for a discount to compensate. Reluctantly, after asking to speak to the supervisor we were offered ONE piece of cake to take away. I asked for something to be taken from the bill instead and eventually after lots of explaining about everything that went wrong, in a very unfriendly manner reluctantly gave us 10% discount. So disappointed today, needs to be a lot of work done on their customer service and care. They should remember if it wasn't for the customers they wouldn't have a job.
