Staff were very nice and resturant/bathrooms clean. Plenty of parking right beside it. We ordered ham n cheddar sandwich and hummus open sandwich. I have to admit it tasted lovely...ham was home cooked but I felt €7.95 for mine and €10.95 for one tiny slice of bread served with the hummus was very expensive for what we got. Due to the restrictions there was no inside seating available only seats in the purposely built seating area on the opposite side of road. There was three tables, seating for maybe 8-10 people in a covered hut, with plant boxes to give it a homely vibe. On our visit we were the only customers. A waitress and a older male who seemed to be the manager/owner were working. One table was dirty and stayed uncleaned the length we were there. Our visit was approximately 45mins. The service was very, very slow. From our platform table across from the cafe, we could see the waitress making our chocolate crepes, tea etc while the owner concentrated on takeaway orders. The crepes were lovely, fresh warm and very chocolatey. Daughter was delight, plus two for one offer, so we got double for the price of one. Luckily it was just us or the wait would have been longer! The waitress was very friendly & apologised for delay, it didn't help that she had a cross a busy one way street with our order. Maybe if/when indoor dining returns I would and maybe the service might be quicker than.

We had the penne pasta (one with chicken and another with prawns) and both were absolutely delicious. However, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility. I had been interested in the mushroom burger, which comes with avocado and chilli hummus. Since I don’t eat chilli, I asked if I could just have plain hummus instead, but was told it was already mixed. I then asked for just avocado and was told no. When I asked if there was anything else they could offer as an alternative, they again said no. It’s a shame, as a bit of flexibility would’ve made the experience more enjoyable, especially considering how great the food and drinks were otherwise. It’s a lovely spot overall, with plenty of parking and great outdoor seating, perfect for this time of year. Lunch service starts at 12:30; we arrived a bit early at 12 and had to wait, but it was worth it. If you’re there before lunch begins, you can order from the brunch menu instead.

I should have walked out rather than pay big money for a cheap bland wrap with boiled egg but I paid and he charged me almost €10 with small coffee. I told him coffee is included deal which he had advertised and I pointed out. He said "oh that's with a different deal". It clearly wasn't! Lucky all the other cafes in Enniscorthy are really lovely so there is choice. I would never set foot in O Briens, Enniscorthy again. Owner will run business into the ground, he just takes money for low quality product. Its also reflected in other reviews.
