An interesting cafe’. The wait time after ordering one coffee, a tea and a cold scone was longer than expected. The scone was heated which meant I couldn’t eat it. I left half. The atmosphere was lovely. Sadly, the scone didn’t get served with the drinks and we were almost finished when it turned up. Behind counters was filthy. Not sure hygiene standards are up to speck. Toilet was a bit of a disaster too.

We booked Butterflies Cafe, for my friends hen do. Bev was amazing, keeping in contact all the time, decorated, and got balloons for me to decorate the room. We visited here on a day out in Minehead. The cafe is very pretty and inviting and staff pleasant. We had cream teas £5.50 each which were presented lovely but unfortunately the scones lacked fruit. We were also overcharged by 50p so maybe worth checking your bill.

With there being no public toilets anywhere near the main beach area, large car park, tourist information centre and train station, this place is vital in you need to go to the toilet. You do need to buy something and have to ask for the key at the desk. Sadly I think they get inundated with toilet requests due to the town council’s neglect at providing essential basic facilities for tourists and locals. The cafe itself was very nice and the main gold side was a lovely protection from the wind with lots of nice tables outside in the sunshine overlooking the crazy golf and town. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they did get the order wrong, we ordered a latte but got brought a black coffee which had already been sugared, very odd. £4.20 for a mr whippy ice cream was a bit steep, however is was good quality and we didn’t mind paying also due to the excellent and essential toilet facilities they are providing the towns tourists.

Stumbled on this place by chance. First good sign - most of the tables were already reserved by knowing locals. Squeezed us in though with no fuss or bother and made to feel very welcome by the owners.
No hesitation in awarding top marks for food, service and atmosphere. To complain about the toilet being out of action would be curmudgeonly; that can happen to anyone. The cash only "for now" sign also hints at it being just a temporary inconvenience which was well worth bearing for the friendly service and tasty food.

It is a smallish restaurant down a backstreet (like all great restaurants in that respect haha) so I would recommend that you book just in case.

My night in the Queen's Head has taken its toll on me. Gosh, I'm over 8,000 years old, and these youngsters can drink me under the table. I used to sit in Viking halls and in the courts of medieval kings, and lord above... these young guys and gals and everything in between can outdrink me!
I decided today to sober myself up with a full English Breakfast. That's when I stumbled (and I literally mean stumbled, given my current state) into Toddy's. I heaved myself into one of the banquettes. I ordered a strong black coffee, lord knows I need it, and a full English Breakfast.
As I was waiting for my food to arrive, I received a text: Nigel was still going strong. He had crossed Turkey and made it through Greece and was just off the coast of Italy. Nigel appeared to be in good health; however, the old lady has taken a battering. Her hair now resembles that of Phil Spector, and her grimace now resembles that of Les Dawson gurning... poor woman.
My Breakfast arrived, and what a Breakfast it was! Absolutely top quality. Lovely thick bacon and wonderfully runny eggs... sorted me out good 'n proper!

We were so glad we found Mr Macawbers. It was by far the best meal out we have had all year. Went in for lunch just before closing time, most places would have said no with only 5 minutes to last order's but with a smile yes ofcourse.
Really glad we did had mains and dessert, so beautifully cooked perfectly executed vegetables with pork loin braised in cider and apple, pipping hot. Taken back to reminiscing working in Jonathan's hotel & restaurant, Birmingham. Very similar interior and music.
Finished with homemade desserts of bread & butter pudding also apple & blackberry crumble absolutely spot on guys real homemade. Great service to boot !! Only criticism is your too CHEAP!! For that quality total bill for 2 people including dessert and drinks £29 👌 👏 wow !!!

Do not go here if you value your health! We thought it looked cheap and cheerful from the outside, but upon entering soon realised - it was just cheap and disgusting. The chap who served us and cooked our food had filthy black fingernails, there was an overall lack of cleanliness through the whole cafe and no hygiene rating to be seen anywhere. The food and drink were high quality and tasty.

First visit to Sidoli's Cafe. To be honest we have been put off visiting on previous occasions due to the notice on the door about non- customers using the toilet. However putting that to one side out visit was lovely. The very friendly service we had was great. We choose two ice-creams and two teas to have in, both were lovely. We popped in to get the children an ice cream and use the toilets. Not one of your members of staff greeted us after entering the cafe, instead we were met with hostility and pure rudeness. We also asked where the toilets were and were told “They are only for paying customers!” Which is understandable but no need to be so rude and curt with your reply, Especially when the children were looking at the choice of flavours. The food was good. But the cutlery is so old and really needs cleaning and polishing or just chucking away. It is self serve cutlery section where everyone’s dirty fingers go in to pick and choose. Honestly I had to go through so many to find just enough adequate ones for for 6 of us than I used tissues to self clean. There was still food residues on some from the dishwasher, just use a well known brand to clean your dishes or just provide disposable ones, or invest in NEW ones.
Otherwise the food and drinks and ice cream selection are ok for quick lunch or breakfast. Yes like other reviewers mentioned, you need to be paying guest to use toilets, which we did not use. Quick lunch or breakfast by sea with the ice cream options. The vegetarian breakfast was good.

What a total gem. We are visiting family for the week and came to Minehead Eye for the first time with our two children for the Nerf Fun session. Our eldest has additional needs and is usually against trying new things so I was nervous when he said he wanted a go. I spoke with the team- Simon and Izzy before the session and they were so accommodating and understanding. They made time to answer all his questions and made sure I could stay for the session to support my son if needed. They were so supportive to my son throughout the session and so knowledgable of autism and potential issues we may come up against with the rules etc. They helped him find the right gun, he has dyspraxia so many guns are hard for him to use, Simon checked in with us both throughout and my son was able to join in and loved every minute of the session. My son finds things like this so hard to access normally so this was such a wonderful moment for him and for our family. Where we live we don’t have such a centre, only leisure centres where most staff have no knowledge of SEN or how to support or connect with kids like my son. I can’t stress enough what a great service this is. I hope minehead knows how lucky it is! A truly inclusive youth activity centre is a rare thing indeed. Thanks so much, we’ll be back next time we’re in town!

It was a very nice day and due to restrictions they serve and take orders from a table at the entrance. There's a few tables outside to sit down and eat. It's a convenient setup.
The lady at the front was very nice and friendly.
We ordered some burgers for the kids, I had a cheese, tomatoes and pesto toasties which was very nice.
The ginger shortbread was great
The only niggles I found were when we asked for ketchup the lady gave us one sachet. We had two burgers and a sausage roll. I found it funny and didn't want to cause a scene so went to the car to get our backup sachets. 😁

We went to the garden centre for an 80th birthday breakfast. We pre booked to assist the kitchen with food orders. We arrived and we were made very welcome. Taking drink orders off a few of us before the rest of the party arrived. Once everyone arrived the other drink orders were taken also along with the food orders. It was made to be fun and easy to give the orders. When the food arrived it was faultless. Food tasted great and not greasy for a cooked breakfast. All meals were hot and the drinks were lovely too. At the end the payments were a breeze and made the whole experience even better. I fully recommend The West Somerset Garden Centre for a cooked breakfast. Thank you to all the team there.

Finally found the wonderful chef and original staff from the Toucan. Visited today and though we weren’t ready to eat a full meal we were overjoyed to see the staff with their usual inspiring healthy food and wonderful cakes! We loved our cream teas.

We had a very pleasant experience at Magpies. Honestly, regardless of whether you are vegetarian/vegan or not, this is one of the best places to eat in Minehead.
The choices on the menu are such that you don't miss meat and fish. The standard menu offers burgers, quesadillas and sandwiches among other things, and the daily specials offer things like curries, pies and soup. Plenty of vegan options are available.
Prices across the board are good- you can get a lunch meal with a drink for approximately £10 a head. Given the generous portion sizes and side salads (if anything, the portion sizes are too much) provided with each meal, and the quality of the food, this is great value.
Drinks are often put aside in such restaurants that focus on food, but here this isn't the case. The smoothies are delicious (I particularly enjoyed 'Berrylicious') and the choco peanut frappé we ordered was a thing of beauty.
Highly recommended spot should you be looking for breakfast/lunch in Minehead.

We had been staying up the road in the Wetherspoons Hotel, and on the morning we were checking out, they had no coffee at breakfast, so we left and called in to Jenny's instead. We were greeted by a gentleman who was very polite and friendly, and also completely on his own to do both the cooking and the serving. We both had the full English breakfast, I had a flat white and my partner had a mocha. Our coffees were served quickly, were beautifully made and hot! Clearly a good quality coffee too. It didn't take long for our breakfasts to be served, which also looked and tasted great. And all piping hot. If we had to point out one negative, it would be the hash browns, they were quite greasy and not particularly crispy. However, they didn't take too much away from the high quality of everything else on the plate.
All very good value for money.
We'll be sure to call in again next time we visit Minehead :)

Closed when it is advertised as open. Edit: the owner has reached out to say it was staff illness, which is fair enough I suppose. But it maybe should be marked as closed on google in that case. It really spoilt my day, I had never been to this town or venue before, so I was absolutely relying on the information from google to plan where to go. It was pouring with rain, dark, and I really needed a hot meal and a nice cup of tea at a decent price. I had to walk in gale force winds and rain to get there, and when I found it was closed I found there was no comparable alternative nearby. We loved it so much two days ago (my husband and twin girls) that I brought my other two older kids for lunch today (two days later) for a second lunch out. All the kids wolfed down the classic hot dogs which they said were the best hot dogs they've had and I had the Halloumi, mushroom and spinach sourdough toast with dirty fries with cheese and bacon on! Super tasty and generous portions too!
The staff are great - friendly and provide a top quality service too- well done guys!
We are very happy locals who'll be coming back for more! 😁👍
Also the outside sitting area is great as it's set back from the road and a real sun trap! It's wonderful sitting in the sunshine eating good food and still being in the middle of the great Minehead High Street.

We visited yesterday and had a delicious meal. The portions were plentiful and the food quality itself was great, freshly cooked and well presented.
The cafe was clean and had a nice atmosphere (love the wallpaper). The service was faultless.
I didn't use the WC, but if memory serves me correctly from the previous owners, they are out the side door and you have to walk to the back of the property and the loos are there.

This place is a little hidden gem in Minehead. It’s small and cosy, overlooking the park outside, I can imagine how popular it gets during a summers day.
I came on a cold cloudy day and had a lovely steak pasty to warm me up. It was delicious, nice and hot, served with a nice salad and coleslaw with some crisps on the side.
