We really loved this place with the organic food offerings at the front of the restaurant to the wonderful atmosphere of the inside eating area overlooking an alfresco outside area where pets are also welcome. The meals were great and we had breakfast 2 days running with the bennie with salmon on the first day and then the avocado smash on the second day breakfast. The smoothies and hot beverages were also lovely.
We also got a vegetarian precooked meal to take home which was also lovely.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience

The açai bowl was one of the best I’ve had with house made granola and peanut butter and very generous. My partner had a chilli mushroom dish on toast with smoked bacon. Also delicious. Great, friendly service.

Chicken burger was completely tasteless. Literally not an ounce of flavour and therefore very disappointing. Chips arrived cool so they had clearly been sitting out for a while. Took 30 mins for the food to arrive and I was super hungry so just ate most of it. Lady (who may have been the manager) came over and asked how it was and I told her. She tried to rectify it by offering to get me some fresh chips but I didn't want more food, (and I also hate wasting food), and would have preferred it if they had gotten it right the first time. She said she's not had any complaints that day but firstly, that doesn't mean anything as most people are too polite or shy to criticise and secondly, when you say something like that, it feels like you're trying to negate my experience. Staff were otherwise nice and friendly and I understand they were doing their best on a Saturday but I won't be returning nor recommending this place.

Fantastic Cafe in Bowral!
My family and I had breakfast at Raw & Wild Market & Cafe on our first visit to Bowral and it was amazing. From the warm welcome at the door to the beautiful vibe inside, everything was perfect. The service was friendly and incredibly fast and the food was absolutely delicious. The spotless toilets were a bonus! The lovely lady at the front even gave us great tips on places to visit around Bowral. This experience alone makes us want to come back—highly recommend!

A lovely atmosphere made even more comfortable by the friendly and knowledgable staff. The chefs "feed me" menu was generous and delicious, each course was flavourful, creative and thoughtful, and by far the best value 'set' menu ive experienced. After many recommendations we decided to venture to the Southern Highlands for lunch as Eschalot. We were not blown away. The day started off well with a lovely greeting and being seated quickly. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We opted for the Signature feed me $140pp so that we could try a variety of dishes. None of the dishes blew us away, often under seasoned, overcooked or not fresh. The ceviche was equivalent to what you would expect from a pub – bland and drowning in sauce, the snapper was almost tough, the spatchcock on the drier side, the dessert like grandma would make, the hummus was a chunkier version of pilpel, the burrata salad was dry and overly bitter. The waiter explained to us that the feed me menu is decided on the day and the chefs make it up as they go, which is fine but what that meant was that we didn’t know what was coming and neither did our waiter so he couldn’t recommend wine pairings accordingly. Wine pairings feel like a basic necessity for a restaurant that claims to be ‘upscale’ and in a big wine region. The staff also couldn’t explain the dishes beyond ‘lamb with labneh’ ‘hummus with bread’ ‘oysters.’ We thought they prided themselves on using produce from local farms and their own garden, however, if that is the case it seemed odd for the staff not to be able to explain those finer details. While in a lovely building, the venue was cold, I kept my coat on for the entirety of the meal, and we were seated in the backroom right near the toilet hand dryer which did not add to the ambience.

The chefs feed me menu didn't deliver on its promise of a unique, local, inventive experience for me. It felt like a selection of safe, familiar meals - it was less like a curated showcase and more like a predictable tour of standard menu items, with long waits between courses.
While the food was good, it didn't represent the kind of high-level, imaginative cuisine the price and menu's concept suggested.
In hindsight, I would have been happier ordering less from the regular menu.

The restaurant is in a cute little building in Berrima which is a sleepy little picturesque village in the southern highlands.
I have been wanting to try Eschalot ever since seeing they are hatted. Our group was seated in the wine room which was so cozy and warm and the perfect setting - i mean who doesn't enjoy being surrounded by wine ?
We had the Chefs Signature menu, a shared menu which was generous but it wasn't all stand out. some were just okay. The wine we chose was delicious we had 2 - we were there with friends and the restaurant did it's job it was great for a catch up. We could still talk.
The food was good but not outstanding as I had expected from a highly awarded restaurant. I didn't mind the ceviche and i'm a sucker for croquettes which looked like arrancini. the croquettes were great and reminded me of authentic spanish ones i had in barcelona (except not round)
The fish was well cooked and the gnocchi was ok. I really enjoyed the desert which had crunchy pops of chocolate.

Spying the corpse reviver #2 ($23) on a cocktail list always makes me happy. The version at Eschalot Restaurant in Berrima wasn’t acidic enough to vanquish the memory of The Owl House, where I first fell in love with this drink. However, being in a side room of a historic, sandstone cottage felt like a more salubrious place to imbibe than the former Darlinghurst bar. The building dates back to 1840, when it was known as Breen’s Inn. It has been sympathetically restored in a way that preserves its history.
By contrast, the menu created by chef Matty Roberts, feels contemporary. Divided into snacks, small plates, grills, and vegetables, his dishes are predicated on sharing across the well-spaced tables. Fire is a bit of a through-line, starting with smoked butter ($5)—which was oddly priced separately from the house-made bread ($8). I suspect it’s to allow you to choose your own smearing poison, but it just meant we added on hummus, sumac and olive oil ($6) too. Fermented mushroom and charcoal dumplings ($23/3) were packed with flavour: their chewy texture yields to a mushroom duxelles. By contrast, leek, jalapeño and manchego croquettes ($18/3) were crunchy edged balls of molten liquid.
With fresh oysters still en-route from Tuross Head, we settled for oyster cream on an enjoyable venison tartare ($30). A second small plate of reimagined surf’n’turf saw a fatty log of pork belly ($31) teamed with a tenderly-handled Moreton Bay bug with samphire and a mild sea urchin crème. Playing with the Italian winter salad ($21) I so enjoyed at Small Town Provisions, Roberts switches out persimmon for grapes and currants, hazelnuts for walnuts, and vincotto for honey and lime dressing. It shows the versatility of radicchio, which really should be our standard winter salad ‘green’. By-the-glass wines are interesting, with the 2021 Serere Roussanne ($24) drinking best.

The Feed Me menu was an absolute hit — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. They were good pastries, the ones I picked - ham and cheese croissants and vanilla slice. Ham and cheese croissant was superb, flaky, savoury, even warm… and the vanilla slice was at the less sweet side with excellent flaky pastry and sweet icing went really well together. I’d like to try cakes as well, as they look amazing.
But I don’t think it’s worth that hype and the queue…. No where to sit down to enjoy the pastry, and it’s just pastries…. I was lucky got in there at 9 oclock in the morning without any queuing but by 10 am, it was already so long. Well, individual choices I guess. But they have shops at Mittagong and Berrima… and there was no queue when I drove to Berrima in the afternoon same day.

The food here is quite pricey. My friend and I ordered two dishes and two drinks (on a Wednesday), and the bill came to over 80 dollars. However, the atmosphere is great, and it’s definitely one of Bowral’s landmarks that tourists should consider visiting. It’s a cute restaurant selling only crepes, looks like run by French people. Most menus look and sound great but way overpriced…. It’s a normal crepes and most items are $20-30 with 2 pieces of meat, little cheese and tiny vegetables wrapped in thin galette. It’s light meal but costed more than full pub dinner.

This is a beautiful old hotel. It’s the oldest continuously licensed hotel in Australia 🇦🇺. It was built in 1834 and licenced a year later. It’s very popular going by the crowd. There was lots of people. The building is built from local sandstone, rendered sand stock bricks and a shingle roof. It’s a beautiful building. The rooms are a maze and it seems like everywhere you turn there’s another hidden room with tables. The staff were welcoming and attentive to our group which included people in wheelchairs and other disabilities. Willing to help with any questions. The menu is your typical pub menu but looked quit appearing. I ordered one of the specials which was the Pumpkin Soup with sourdough and a side of garlic bread. The soup was delicious, really thick and full of flvour. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal also. Very reasonable prices at $20 for the soup. There’s tables outside to the side of the building if you wanted to sit outside. Would definitely recommend. Thumbs up!! 👍👍

First time experiencing Ben Dooley Estate.We were a group of ladies enjoying a day out in the Highlands , we had a lovely table booked in The Book Barn. Food and Estate Wine was absolutely delicious, lovely warm environment, busy lunch time service. Unfortunately our order was overlooked and didn’t make it to the kitchen, but once this was pointed out our server handled this with grace and professionalism and it was sorted out immediately. We recently had our wedding at Bendooley Estate's Book Barn, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very first visit to the last dance on the night, everything was seamless, professional, and absolutely beautiful.
It all started with a tour by Mark, whose charisma and knowledge of the venue instantly put us at ease. His walkthrough was so impressive that we cancelled the rest of our venue inspections and started the booking process with Bendooley the very next day - that’s how confident we felt.
Throughout the planning process, Kelly was fantastic to work with. She kept everything on track, patiently answered our (many!) logistical questions, and made the admin side of things incredibly smooth. It’s clear that Bendooley has truly streamlined their wedding process, and that experience shows in every interaction.
On the day itself, we were supported by Green and Kim, who were just amazing. They anticipated our guests' needs, handled everything behind the scenes with such professionalism, and ensured the whole day ran without a hitch. We were able to relax and enjoy every moment knowing we were in such capable hands.

As a previous bride of Bendooley, every time I revisit the Book Barn, I'm made to feel special and remembered (despite them seeing hundreds of brides a year I'm sure!) We were initially very disappointed by the poor restaurant service but then we followed lunch with a wine tasting at the cellar door led by Jen and it was incredible. Her attention to detail was great and personality so infectious - we were met with open arms and had a 10/10 experience there with her. First time writing a review but was such a poor experience it felt necessary. Looking for a quick bite to eat before meeting some friends. We chose simple dishes - soup, toasties for the kids and a quiche. Over 30 mins for 1 coffee and a bottle of ginger beer. Our query into an update on our food wasn’t well received other that we should have been told it was a 1/2 hr wait… over an hour and the food arrived. Soup had little taste, quiche was undercooked and toasties were very basic. One table walked out. A large family table near us were in the same boat

The cafe is in a nice location but unfortunately, everything else was the opposite of nice.
We arrived as a group of 6, looking for some coffee. 3 of us went inside to order and the employee asked for a table number. We replied that there wasn’t one, but they were adamant and started arguing with us. We insisted there wasn’t a number at our table and one of the employees was instructed to follow us back to the table and check. Lo and behold, there was no table number! The employee looked sheepish but didn’t say anything, and left to go check on another table.
Shortly after, a different person from our group went to get some water and overheard the employees talking about us. One of the older women (middle-aged and pale blonde hair) was overheard saying, “Stupid young people, don’t know how to read a table number”. Obviously, the employee did not let her know there was in fact no number at our table. Even if there was, I think that comment is inappropriate and frankly, unacceptable. It was also said in front of other customers, which was completely unprofessional.
Our group felt disheartened but we were trying to stay positive. We convinced ourselves that they were just having a bad day. However, when the coffee arrived, it was not good. The coffee was weak and watery. Given all the good reviews, we couldn’t help but wonder if it was intentional.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this cafe. The experience made us feel unwelcome. We felt saddened and confused. We hate to admit it, but it ruined our day. This happened on Saturday, 31 May 2025. Initially, I didn’t want to write a review but I’ve not had an establishment make me feel this way.

We were astounded by the shockingly rude and aggressive behaviour of the blond older female working at this cafe.
After being on the road we wanted to stop off for a relaxing Sunday lunch. We decided to use the bathroom before sitting down and ordering. We were chased down the hallway by this person asking us to leave and use public toilets in the park. When we explained we wanted to use the facilities before ordering she doubled down and told us it was a restaurant not a public toilet. Again we said we were aware of that and had planned on eating and she begrudgingly and rudely said ‘fine’ (amongst other things!!) We, of course, decided not to spend money in a place with such outrageous rudeness.
When you find yourself coming to work feeling bitter about your customers and your job perhaps it’s time to get a new one?

Super cute! It has a homestyle feel that's cosy and welcoming. It's like having coffee at your friend's place. We came for breakfast classics and we found exactly what we were looking for. We had hot buttered, thick cut, white toast with eggs, bacon and hash browns. Delicious!
The service is quick and friendly and they didn't even flinch when I asked for BBQ sauce on the side. Big servings for cheap prices.
They have a nice little alpaca wool store too. You can get jumpers and hats and whatnot.

Don't often get to the southern end of the Highlands, but when I do, it's good t drop into this little gem. The team catered for us with delightful food and tea/coffee and the food is delicious (and well priced without the "Bowral tax") ... A bit of an update probably needed to the lighting, I think. The fluorescent lighting leaves the atmosphere a bit stark, but truly, we come to cafes for food and company, and that makes the atmosphere in the end.

This cafe is a little hidden gem 💎. As visitor to the Highlands I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the menu was. You still love the breakfast I got at this place. They must’ve changed the chef. Everything was loaded With grease. Scrambled eggs not scrambled but a big greasy mess on toast that was soaked through with Grease. Greasy mushrooms, even tomatoes. I couldn’t eat it. We drove from Sydney just to have lunch here, as we were pleased with their food last time we visited. We arrived and were seated at a lovely corner table on the front veranda. We felt blessed to get this spot as the place was fully booked during the long weekend. The tables nearby were reserved for wine tastings and sharing plates, so the outdoor area was still quiet when we settled in.
I told the waiter right away that we’d start with sourdough and olives—and before our seats had even warmed, they arrived, served with their famous olive oil. We couldn’t have been happier, as we’d been hungry for at least twenty minutes before arriving. Highly recommended to start the meal with the warmed soft sourdough with delicious olive oil and olives.🫒
My husband ordered an almond mocha while I had a soy chai latte. It is a cellar door, but wine just wasn’t on our minds 😅.
For our entrée, we shared the white wine and leek risotto, finished with salsa verde. Then for mains, we both had the duck leg confit with pearl barley risotto, orange and star anise glaze, and blood plum chutney. We left absolutely stuffed 😮💨 and deeply satisfied.
Even our cat enjoyed the duck—he kept giving me those looks as if asking for more 😅.

My husband and I had a really lovely time at PepperGreen Estate. The person who looked after us during the wine tasting was fantastic — super friendly and made the whole experience really enjoyable.
We absolutely loved every wine we got to try — each one had something different to offer. The cheese plate was gorgeous too — beautifully presented and so tasty!
We were a bit disappointed the place closed earlier than we expected, as we would’ve loved to stay longer and have a meal. But we’re definitely keen to come back again soon and make a day of it.

This place was outstanding. The building had been built beautifully with amazing dark but warm decor with a countryside feel. The ambience was inviting in a cold winter day with the lighting dim and the fire place going.
Upon arrival my wife and I were instantly greeted warmly and with personality and seated promptly. Our waitress was able to rattle off 6-8 specials all of which sounded amazing.
We ordered drinks and were brought bread and oil which was great.
I ordered the prawn toast with lots of fancy bits. Essentially it was an Asian fusion style with lots of bursting flavour and Asian style crab salad. It was so outstanding I would have another if I could.
For mains I had the eye fillet which came with jus, potato and roasted tomato's. It was cooked to perfection (rare) and had great flavours all round. It was chargrilled which added some complexity of flavour. I paired this with a great Shiraz.
Upon finishing our meal we had a look around and saw more beautiful dining space and out the back wine tasting in almost a bar style setting. Again beautifully set up.
As we paid were were recommend a few items they sell in their small shop and we purchased olive oil based soap, some hand moisturiser and a bottle of olive oil. All of great quality.
As we paid and were see out the service again was outstanding and friendly.
I couldn't fault this place in any way and highly recommend. If you do pay a visit you may just see me there as I will surely become a frequent visitor. Best in Berrima!

Over the past year or so I've had breakfast/brunch at Cafe Rocca perhaps 4-5 times & each time the food & service has been great. The bacon has been plentiful & delicious as are the poached eggs. The coffee ( 7 Miles Black Mountain) is superb & I always purchase the 1kg Black Mountain coffee beans on sale at the cafe each time I'm there. It had been a while since we dined at Onesta Cucina, and we were pleasantly surprised at our experience. The wait staff were all experienced and friendly and attentive, and our service was "on time and never rushed" which is just the way it should be. We loved our dinner! Originally we were going to just get takeaway but decided we should dine in. It was a rainy night and with a big game on most people were at the pubs. We were the only people in house as a late diners on a Saturday. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We won’t be able to not come here when we visit Bowral.

This is the first time I've visited Gumnut Patisserie in Berrima... I usualy visit the shop in Bowral.
This was a disappointment.
The interior is large enough for seating but it didn't look or smell clean and the sweets didn't look as fresh as in the Bowral shop. There is a smaller selection, as well.
I ordered a quiche and coffee. Whilst the quiche was delicious, the pastry was slightly undercooked, although the coffee was perfect. The pies I purchased (and which we had for dinner that night) were as delicious as I have come to expect them.
The staff was polite but the shop wasn't busy. I shall not return.
Time for an interior renovation, I think.

Super friendly staff and excellent meat and mushroom pie. We arrived just before closing so most of the desserts and hot food were sold out - always a good sign of popular good food establishments. Managed to snag a beef and mushroom pie, big chunky pieces of mushroom and meat, really bloody good. Mum loved the Caramel swirl pastry and the tri chocolate mouse was a hit with dad. Sadly it seems the reviews were right. Service was not there, presentation and food disappointing. In this little town I had hoped for more and thought I’d give them a try even with the reviews. Scones and jam and cream were not tasty. The cafe itself does not look welcoming with bare walls. This is not a general store and only a cafe. I have tried the buffet numerous times over the years and the buffet menu does change over time, giving it wide selections of quality vegetarian food (mushrooms, curries, Takoyaki ball, sago pudding to name a few). Wide selections of hot and cold beverages inclusive for buffet customers. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Staff are tentative in ensuring used plates are removed from dining table. The venue is very tidy and clean from the buffet serving table, dessert bar and toilet facilities. The lake and art sculptures are a must if you visit.

It's so glad to see the restaurant re opens. So many new things to see. Great landscape, native plants garden, kids play ground, extended walk pathway, new decking & pergola with fabulous lake view. My Mom loves the tofu particularly, we took three dishes. Nice smoothie and ice chocolate 😋! As expected there was long queue "full house" but worth the wait 😌! The yum cha taste really fresh! The coffee was yum - flavourful and balanced, leaning towards acidic. Unfortunately it was the worst eggs benny I’ve had in a while…. $24 for an under toasted piece of sourdough with coles packet salad packet mix underneath it feels pretty rough. The hollandaise just tasted like lemon and overpowered everything else. It also had the unfortunate side effect of making the bread soggier than it already was due to the copious pour of it. The bacon also didn’t taste like much. Frankly I only had half even though I came in pretty hungry, which isn’t the experience you want at a cafe! By far the best store in Berrima! Visited this gem whilst staying the long weekend in town, and WOW what an experience. The Jams, Teas & Sauces they sell are amazing and the flavours are out of this world. Everything you could think of and every combination available was there. We were in Bowral during the recent Australia Day long weekend and decided to give Kaffeine a try after walking past and being approached by the friendly staff.
The staff were attentive and kind enough to also amend the order for the pulled lamb burger to a pulled pork burger. The fish and chips was amazing along with the sweet potato chips which came with the pulled pork burger.

Always enjoyed coffee and something to eat at Kaffine since it opened. After today I will not be back due to service at morning tea time. I was seated awaiting usual table service. Charming captivating and curious
We have been here many times when we stayed at Berrima and on our way from Sydney to Canberra. Whether it’s breakfast, coffee and cakes or lunch all good. Run by charming people a little eccentric which is perfectly match to the interesting interior of the cafe which is full of antique furniture and paintings. Tables set with white table cloths and lovely china. Recommend the omelettes, spicy beef salad and pastries.
Utterly charming and absolutely a must visit, booking essential for lunch on the weekend.

As someone who usually doesn’t go to many non-vegan restaurants, this place was an absolute delight and I’m so glad we gave it a shot. The owner came to our table and walked us through all possible options for vegan food and there were ALOT. We ended up getting a mushroom ragout and a pasta dish which were both so flavourful and lovely. The portion size was also very generous. Throughout it all Sebastian and his staff were extremely lovely and great to talk to. I’m a visitor from Sydney, and I came to Bowral on October 5, 2025, for the Tulip Time Festival. It was the last day of the event, and around 11:30 a.m., my boyfriend and I decided to have lunch at Caffe Rosso.
Since we didn’t have a reservation, a staff member led us to a long table in the corner of the restaurant — a table that could easily seat six people. There was a “Reserved” sign on it, but the staff removed it after seating us. I found it strange because there were still plenty of empty tables around, including a two-person table right next to us with no reserved sign (as shown in my photos).
After we sat down and ordered, my coffee arrived — and then, to my surprise, the same staff member brought two other female guests and seated them directly beside us at the same table, without saying a single word to us or asking whether we were okay sharing a table with strangers.
It wasn’t the idea of sharing a table that bothered me most — it was the complete lack of courtesy or communication. The staff could have simply asked if we minded sharing. When I raised my concern with another waitress, she asked if we had a reservation. I said no, and she replied that because it was “lunch rush hour,” they couldn’t move us.
I pointed out that there were still at least five empty tables, including the one right next to us. She insisted all of them were reserved. However, during the entire hour we stayed (from 11:30 to 12:30), many of those “reserved” tables — both inside and outside — were never occupied. Even the two women who were seated with us managed to move to an outdoor table shortly after.
To be clear, the food was actually very good — I especially enjoyed the seafood risotto. But the service experience left me quite disappointed. A simple explanation or polite communication would have made all the difference.
I still recommend trying the food here, but I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains their staff to treat all customers with a bit more respect and courtesy, regardless of whether they have a reservation.

Stumbled upon this Cafe while stopping at Harris Farms in Bowral. Grabbed a couple of slices of Roman style Pizza to go, shocked when they handed me 2 boxes of Pizza (each the same size as a Large Pizza in Sydney but half the price). What i got turn out to be the best Pizza i've ever had, Spicy Salami / Ham & ricotta both thin crispy full of flavor & worth the 300km round trip for more. My 2nd visit i had to try the cafe food, Duck Ragu & Alla Matriciana pasta. The food was as good as the Pizza, The Duck Ragu was devine & the Alla Matriciana (difficult to find in Sydney) was the best I've had. Had to grab a couple more Pizza's & Jam Donuts for the drive home. Whenever i'm in the Southern Highlands this is where i'm eating.

The Mill is a vintage cafe in the beautiful town of Bowral. It has a cosy and pleasant atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and energetic. As a bonus, they have free Wifi, but please only use it if you are alone, otherwise try to socialise.
The menu is complete for both breakfast and lunch and the food quality and garnish is top notch. They also offer several vegan and vegetarian meals. I highly recommend their fresh juices.

'Bacon bites' were literally a few slabs of cooked bacon which was unexpected and a little disappointing. We wouldn't have ordered them if we knew that's what they were.
Green juice was good - tasted a bit like celery which is to be expected.
The lid cracked on my son's hot chocolate which made it difficult to use the lid.
Staff at reception were friendly enough. The man on the till wasn't as friendly but mostly pleasant.
He brought out our food and took the coffee tray from under our drinks -to reuse presumably, which is good to see.
The outside courtyard area is pleasant to sit in.
Edit: on the menu at the counter there were definitely bacon bites. I recall saying it out loud to my son and he said he wanted them. The guy at the till looked on and seemed affronted that we were ordering from the sides menu. To me, it seemed normal, for a small bite to eat. He didn't explain that it was just bacon, but the opportunity was there as someone who knew more about it than we did. This place was recommended to me by a colleague so it was unfortunate that this was my experience - and to then receive a response basically calling me a liar on my review to top it off.

Really nice environment and atmosphere. Great kids corner area and very safe for children.
Mostly disappointed with the food. We came for lunch and everything was very average.
Chicken Moroccan salad had barely any chicken and way too much cous cous and chickpeas.
The Mediterranean toastie had very minimal filling could hardly taste or see it in between the bread.
The pie and Ploughman's lunch were the best things on the menu. Both good servings and tasty.
Fish and chips and the BBQ pork robs both average, nothing to rave about, very forgettable.

The Mill Cafe next door is a large renovated warehouse filled with arts and crafts surrounding a log fire.
We visited the cafe during Pie Time in June and while the beef and ebony porter pie was not available, we deferred to the Chicken and Mushroom Pie which was the pie of the day and the fish cakes
With large pieces of chicken surrounded by a creamy gravy made this pie a real hit. There was no overpowering mushroom taste at all. The parsnip mash had a nice texture and sharpness to it as well.
The fish cakes though were the real hit!

While walking on the road we came across this place. Walking in we met a lovely old lady who was singing praise of the food and the service so my I got my hopes us and they definitely delivered to it. The food was tasty and served nice and fresh. The lady who was serving us was really nice and friendly. And the place filled up by the time we were done.

Excellent coffee, breakfast and service! Best in Bowral! We were lucky to walk in and get a table right away, however would have happily waited.
The food was so delicious that I had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the fresh produce and careful preparation.

Dos Hombres deserves a bloody Michelin Star for the quality AND quantity of food they provide. My partner and I went here on a Tuesday which was Tacos and Tinnies night!! Which involved more food than any normal human should or could eat and a $3 imported Mexican beer (delicious btw). The food was the best Mexican I have had in my life. There are not enough superlatives to describe our experience here - it was beyond excellent. The meat was the best BBQ I’ve had this side of Texas (and believe me, I’ve looked). We had the taco platter for 2 and ceviche. The brisket and rump were amazing, and the burnt ends and beans was transcendent. Everything else was great as well. The margaritas were strong and well made, husband’s beer was cold, service was friendly. Lots of gluten free options. Will be a place we talk about fondly for a long time (and wished we lived closer to!).

Plenty of dietary friendly options and a wide selection of drinks available too.
My partner enjoyed the coffee and Dahl, my friend had scones and coffee and I had n orange hot chocolate and a vegan, gf, nut free jam drop biscuit.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the only drawback was that it felt a little cramped in spots because they were so busy.

The food is always fresh and delicious as well, certainly worth stopping at if nearby.
It's also a motorcycle friendly venue, but don't let this dissuade you if you're not riding as everyone is welcome here.
Had the Brisket burger and the meat was tender, juicy, coated in a house made barbecue, eggs, bacon all coalesced into a sensational burger.
I've previously had the Mutt burger which was also great, even an American style peanut butter sauce which was scrumptious.

This is such a lovely spot, plenty of outdoor seating with good distancing. This spot is very popular among motobike riders. Cool to see them come and go.
Food was delicious, coffee was 100% my palette. Burgers were huge.

Fantastic experience! Martyn and Pauline are awesome, warm, fantastic people. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and positively encouraging of social interaction. Whiskey nights, steak nights, and wonderful events. Yea and lunch today was delicious! The vegemite scrolls were delicious and I don’t care for vegemite on its own. The scones were perfection and the lamingtons were delicious. Ribs, fries, salads delicious! Would definitely come back!!! I'm an American motovlogger on YouTube and traveled here to Oz to meet up with my mates.
Some friends of ours set up a meet and greet at Schmok'in, and it couldn't have gone better. Pauline and Martyn were so very gracious to all of us. They went out of their way to make it a very special event.
The tea, vegimite & cheese rolls were amazing. I ordered the BBQ ribs with fries, and they were cooked to perfection.
The staff is warm and friendly, eager to help, and service with a smile.
They have a nice selection of beers and spirits to choose from. Wonderful pastries, and baked treats as well.
If you're in the area, this is must do, to stop by for a bite to eat. They have a few reservations left for the upcoming holidays, should you want to book an event with your friend, family, or staff.
5 stars from me! It was an amazing day for me.
