It is a lovely place and the food was excellent. It was very busy and we did have a bit of a wait for a table which is fair enough as we did book with fairly short notice. Unfortunately it was very warm and stuffy upstairs while staff did make efforts to cool it down with the air conditioning I think it would benefit from a window being open from time to time to let some air in. All in all I love the authenticity of the place, the decor is lovely and I would eat here again.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeting by our hosts, Casey and Joe, and they couldn't have been nicer. They are such genuinely lovely people and they have a really nice B&B with a fantastic atmosphere. The place is spotlessly clean and the room was gorgeous. We had the attic room. The room has plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. The room has all the facilities you would need including a TV, fan, hairdryer and kettle. They also provide you with plenty tea, hot chocolate, several varieties of coffee and some tasty cookies too. The room also has plenty of sockets for any electrical items. The bathroom is stunning and has a large free standing rolltop bath that faces the window and there is a nice view out the window. There is also a nice shower. The bathroom is stocked with plenty clean towels and plenty toiletries are provided too. The room was serviced each day, towels were changed as needed and tea and coffee etc. was re-stocked. For breakfast, the options are varied to suit all tastes and the quality of food is excellent and delicious. The cooked breakfast is particularly good and certainly sets you up for the day. We didn't get to eat any evening meals there, but the menu looks great and from what I have heard, their food is fantastic. Based on how good the breakfast is, I was not surprised to hear such positive words about their other food. The B&B is also licenced and they have a bar. We did not have a drink there, but they have a decent selection of beers and quite an impressive selection of spirits, and in particular, a good selection of whisky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Foulskye. We have booked again for next year and we are already looking forward to going back. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

This is a very busy restaurant as there are only a few quality options in this area and Ask is quite small, but we managed to get a table fairly quickly both nights. The food is great, very tasty and filling and it's position near the harbour is ideal, this would be great in the summer with all the doors open or sitting outside. What a great experience! You can really feel the difference under the new management — the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of life. Little disappointed in the overall experience after seeing so many good reviews. The peach iced tea cocktail was good. However, the cocktail my partner got was awful, Fishermans Dawn. All you could taste was burnt coffee. Would recommend avoiding any cocktails that include coffee, and also avoid the coffee in general as we have been told by others that even the hot cups of coffee are not good. The man behind the bar who served my partner didn't have much of a personality, or come across welcoming, which sort of dampened the mood. Originally I thought maybe it was just how Scarborough seafood is but after going to a few other seafood places, I realised the lobster I had was off indeed. The lobster was quite pungent, and the accompanying chips were served lukewarm and just sad. The Crab was is 'ok', but the rice and salad was so incredibly plain that the whole meal is just so mid and hard to finish. I highly recommend going to chippy's instead as at least the food there will be served hot. Or any other seafood restaurants, honestly. The only other meal thats 'good' was the steak pie, which tastes just like every other pies in uk and the grilled scallops. I paid £95 which for that price you'd really be better off anywhere else. I had to go get cup noodles an hour afterwards so I can't stress how bad this place is for money value and portion and time.

We had starters and mains and everything we ordered was overcooked and had too much lemon in them. Place was busy inside so we decided to sit outside as the weather was nice and was still under cover from the sea gulls nearby. Manager was nice and recommended dishes to us which we decided to have. This was very economical and great value. The place was busy obviously due to the huge discount. We ordered starters n a main each. The starters came within 2 minutes! So fast. What a HUGE mistake there is no greeting from the staff the tables were sticky and full of salt as were the seats. The breakfasts were shocking under cooked sausages and eggs, over cooked bacon that you would need a chainsaw to cut through, burnt hash browns the bowls the beans came in were chipped . It is such a beautiful location and building it’s a shame they don’t appreciate the customers more. We won’t be back head over to the artisan cafe beside M&S or sunrise on the beach front much better options.

I booked ahead for a meal, and also made the meal selections in advance as per the emails & instructions you receive when you make an online booking. Therefore it was a surprise that our booking didn't seem to on the system (even though I'd been down the restaurant in person to make sure our booking was in place) and our pre-order hadn't been received. While this was disappointing, the staff were very apologetic (and my thoughts are it wasn't their fault), and they couldn't do enough to make our meal enjoyable. Luckily I'd printed off our booking reference & menu choices so it was sortable. We chose from the festive menu and it was delicious. I enjoyed every course and the portions were just right. I had the lamb koftas, Boxing Day Ham and the Festive black forest cheesecake, and everything was perfect. We had soft drinks, of which there is a good range available. The food arrived in good time and as I say was delicious. The staff were great and it was clear that they really wanted to ensure we enjoyed our experience, which we did. I would go again but I would be cautious about using the Marisco Lounge online system as it clearly isn't working for some reason.

Came into eat before a 3 hour journey back to Birmingham. Ordered a vegan option that was never available. I had the Mediterranean veg pizza instead and asked for 2 of the veggies not to be on there however both were on there when the pizza came. King prawn skewers - advertised as barbecued, shame I saw no char but they were tasty enough. Calamari - these were immense. I believe they were in Panko breadcrumbs which made a real difference. Seafood Paella - The top cm of rice was chalky and undercooked but once you got through it was tasty enough. Although there are negative comments we really enjoyed the meal. The atmosphere was top notch, room big and airy with great views. Only two waiting on staff and I had difficulty in gaining their attention when required. But they were very pleasant. Had one Old Fashioned cocktail and this was very well made. Service charge added to bill at 5% which we were happy with. Total bill 90. It was quite busy for the afternoon. Drinks prices were reasonable considering it's packed with mainly tourists. Very old tho definitely needs a lift but I assume the owners want to keep it in such an old traditional way. I was speaking with one of the guys drinking there and he said the best thing about this place is the karaoke stuff and it's always full during that time. The location is absolutely spot on, bang opposite the beach. If ever again in Scarborough will visit again.

We came for an hour and wasn't sure if that would be too much... At the end of the hour, my wife, kids and I were gutted it was over. The 4 of us had a blast. The fact they serve brilliant coffee and excellent cake as well is a massive bonus. It was a good sizable play area to drive the vehicles around in and the focus and determination by us all to move the dirt around was serious business but also hilarious. The staff was so lovely and friendly. I hope for future they expand. A full cafe menu would be brilliant and an ever bigger area, but this is just a suggestion... The place was amazing and worth the visit!
