Quality of food was consistently great across all dishes. Fresh ingredients. Will be returning if I'm in the area again. Food was served quickly. Leading with potstickers, followed by wonton soup about the same time we finished the potstickers, and the vegetable fried rice arrived shortly after we finished our soup. The Mongolian Beef and Chow Mein came shortly after, so there was little time waiting between dishes. The tea was delightful, some of the best tea I've ever had. It was served loose-leaf in the tea kettle, so removing the sachet to halt steeping is impossible. The pot stickers were great, especially with the brown sauce and some of the chili oil (if you like spice). The broth of the wonton soup was rich, but light and not overpowering. The bok choy in the soup was not wilted at all, very nice and fresh. The snow peas were crisp and not stringy. The vegetable fried rice was excellent, made with fresh veggies and with a perfect amount of seasoning and char. Onions in the Mongolian Beef were crunchy and not limp or chewy. The sauce for the Mongolian Beef was great. Service was good. They don't hound you, but they watch tables. They brought us boxes and the bill without requesting it shortly after we finished eating.

Food was good, the orange chicken was better than Panda Express, i got half fried rice and half chow mein, both were good. I also got a side of jalapeno chicken, it wasn't what i expected, wasn't bad, but wasn't to my liking. Wasn't the jalapeno flavor i thought was gonna be, was just kinda spicy. The staff was very friendly, and well organized, even as busy as they were, we didn't wait very long, and the food seemed really fresh, was nice and hot when i sat down to eat. It is really going downhill as far as a couple of aspects. I will let you decide when you get there first and foremost. I think their biggest issue is they just haven’t changed at all sinceI arrived in Bakersfield in the early 2000s they have not changed a thing about their place or their food and it doesn’t seem like their menu is changed either. As for the food not the best in my opinion started with the crab ragoon it was too salty couldn't finish eating it which was disappointing since it looked great. I got the mushu pork and after the first bite could not finish it, idk if it was the sauce or who knows what but couldn't do it and still wonder why it was wrapped ina cold tortilla. Someone with me got the Mongolian beef, idk if it was meant to be that way but the noodles were crunchy and beef was cold. chow mein was aight, where they got off was on their fried rice. We had got some Pepsi it was flat, didnt like that we had to use the same plates for everything. Didn't like how lady said we should of asked for recommendations on what to eat after she saw that I couldn't finish my dish, I dont believe you should ask whats good when going out to eat, everything should be edible. I would say it give it a try, if you'd like, everyones experience may be different then mine.

Got the medium sizzling rice soup and mandarin chow mien and was surprised at the large portion of food, was plenty enough to share between 2 people and have leftovers. Food was tasty; both entrees were served very quickly, but the food was warm at best, and portions were big kid-size, not adult-size. Overall review: disappointed with the food — good deal, but didn’t compare to the always fresh Panda Express meals. The main reason I stopped going to P.F. Changs 10 years ago was because of mediocrity, and giving them a chance in 2025, the mediocrity of the food is the reason I won’t go back. I mentioned the mediocrity of the food and the portions to my wife, and she agreed. This place was empty when we went on a Saturday evening, and that’s pretty much unheard of for most restaurants in Bakersfield. After dinner, when I drove by the Panda Express, the drive-thru was full. I’m not quite sure what P.F. Changs should do, but serving the customer warm chicken and rice when there are only five or six couples in the whole restaurant isn’t the best business practice to keep them coming in. The staff on all levels—from the greeter, server, waiter, and bartender—were all outstanding. Just to compare, a hot three-item combo at Panda Express will run you about $14, and the food is always good, and so much easier. A sit-down dinner at a beautiful establishment like P.F. Chang’s for under $20 is a great price point; however, the food has to be at least good. Overall: 3 out of 5.

Or drinks did arrive quicker than the 16 minutes. About the 21 minute mark, our entrees arrived. The food was delicious and the portions were generous like advertised. For 5 adults and 3 kids our bill was $181.17. This included a 20% tip. It was added to our bill (I do not agree with restaurants adding a Tip. I believe a Tip should be based on the quality of the food and service). I would of disputed the tip however, my toddler started to have an outburst. I took outside to calm him down.
