I was on the hunt for a good non-veg Skyu and we found this place through a Google search. The ambience of the restaurant is great, overlooking the market. We ordered the Skyu and the mutton Shay Phalay. Both exceeded our expectations . Loved the Skyu as it was our first time eating it. The shay phalay was also well made and tasty. I will definitely go back to this restaurant when I visit Leh again

We wanted a quick bite before continuing our tour and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and were so kind efficient and attentive. The service was fast without feeling rushed which made the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable. We ordered bottled water some Coke and three different kinds of momo chicken steamed, vegetarian steamed and chicken kothey. Every dish arrived fresh beautifully presented and piping hot. The chicken steamed momo were juicy and flavorful with perfectly balanced spices in the filling and delicate soft wrappers. The vegetarian momo were just as impressive light fresh and satisfying with a lovely mix of vegetables inside. The chicken kothey momo were our favorite crispy and golden on the bottom soft on top with a savory tender filling inside. Each bite was full of warmth and delicious taste and the chili sauce that came with them added just the right touch of heat without overpowering the flavors. We truly loved every bite. It was the kind of food that brings comfort and joy. Delicious food prepared with care and served with kindness made our afternoon extra special. But the staffs welcomed us with smiling faces and asked us to give sometime to get the food ready for us. Then they took the order and start serving us. Every single time they served the food with smile. In our table 5 friends seated, we ordered two full tandoori chicken, one chilly chicken, one garlic chicken and three chicken biriyani. Tandoori chicken came first. Was well cooked and full of flavors. It was just disappeared as soon as it came and we ordered for another one. Then came the chilly chicken along with garlic chicken, both tasted very good with right amount of flavors. Then came the biriyani, it was prepared very differently but unfortunately not like our taste buds wanted it. Biriyani was not to our liking. Nevertheless, all other disches and their service was standout. They even asked sorry that biriyani was not to our liking. So polite they are. Here comes the unexpected part. It was around 11 PM and enire LEH was sleeping I believe and getting a cab to reach our hotel is almost impossible at that time and we all 15 have to walk for another 30 mins to reach our hotel. Understanding our situation, the restaurant owner gave us a ride to our hotel without expecting any money for that. He has to take 4 in one time, so he did 4 times to drop all of us safely in our hotel. This shows how much respect and good heart they have for their customers. We ordered Khambir, Skyu, Pulao, and Veg Thukpa—each dish was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. They have a live kitchen, so while the food does take some time, it’s worth the wait as everything is made with care and authenticity. The lady owner, who has even received a presidential award, was very warm and friendly, which added a personal touch to our visit.
