We moved to Leeds about six months ago, and pretty much everyone we met told us we had to try Bundobust. The menu looked interesting so we went inside. Greeted by a friendly man. Saw Indian people eating there so took that as a good sign. When the bowl initially came out it looked pretty good and I let it sit for around 2 minutes whilst it cooled down a bit because their food is all extremely fresh. However when it came to eating it I found there was no broth under the noodles despite it being on the menu description, the meat was dry and there was barely even any meat just fat leaves of bok Choi and an excess of noodles. They were dry and sticky and I ultimately couldn’t eat it as I literally got given plain noodles with no flavour. The service was lovely however and the workers were so nice so all they need to work on is their menu items. Please don’t go here and get the birria ramen as I have been left very disappointed and mourning my waste of money since I’m still hungry after eating there. They also had really lovely chips so good on them for doing that right as well.

They then told me that reward card holders get a free coffee from the brasserie after shopping at the store. So off I went to for my much needed coffee, but then I saw the menus in full, which were tempting. The decor was also outstanding, so much so that the ceiling reflected onto my table. As I couldn’t decide what to order, Gavina went through the menus with me and even suggested adaptations. I went with her suggestion of a main Caesar salad and a mocktail, which were delicious. I would have liked to stay longer for a starter and dessert, but time was not my friend. I had a train to catch. However, I am of the opinion that Gavina is wasted in her current server role. She is service orientated and a natural non aggressive seller with an understanding of the customer. A managerial or sommelier role (or perhaps something else) would be more fitting for her talents.

Steak is done perfectly to my requested liking, generous portion of chips and their in house made butter complements the meal perfectly. We also got it with peppercorn sauce which was well made and perfectly seasoned. Service is good too. I love all the sauces, seasoning was on point! Their menu changes too. Didn’t have to prebook if you come 6pm, I guess it’s early dinner, plenty seats. Great service, waiter gave good recommendations and very friendly, enjoyed our time there very much. My favourite was the ox heart with oyster sauce, it was an interesting texture that almost didn’t taste like heart (I’ve had chicken heart before) and the oyster sauce was creamy with a hint of oyster, I really enjoy the natural flavour of the ingredients, they were paired and chosen well. The mutton kofta itself was a bit tough and salty and in my opinion would’ve been better medium rare. The cherry tomatoes came with it were the best I’ve had, juicy and good balance of sweet and sour. The medium rare steak with pepper sauce was great too, we ordered fries on the side. Again the pepper sauce was excellent, it had a spicy kick to it, I’d buy all of their sauces. Steak was done well too. The basque cheesecake was ok, standard good cake, not too sweet.

Staff are super friendly and really helpful. We ordered the samosas but as we got there close to closing, we were told the last ones left were not perfect and offered us them smashed and mixed with the sauces and veg as a chaat, it was amazing! The eggs and salmon tasted super fresh and the daal was delicious. Loved the fact that on the menu needs I told you about all the ingredients came from. The cafe has eclectic and warm décor that makes you feel like you've transported into another world. The menu has such a nice variety, and they cater to a variety of dietary needs. During lockdown, Cha Lounge came through in supporting the local community by organising fresh veg boxes and groceries for those who wanted to buy local or were sceptical of going to supermarkets. Later, they expanded to afternoon and cream tea sets that were perfect for date night or picnics. Once I bought a veg box from them, I couldn't go back to a box chain supermarket anymore. Dining-wise, I cannot recommend their brunch highly enough. You can taste that their ingredients are high quality and fresh. My niblings especially love Gemma's pancakes. We have also gone to a few of their curry nights which we thought was very delicious. If you're ever in Dock Street, do pop in and say hi, even if all you're getting is a takeaway cha.

Unfortunately, it was difficult to find many positives from our visit. We ordered two starters, two pastas, and a few drinks. The crudo looked impressive, but felt like style over substance, just a few tiny pieces of fish and some burnt garnish. The arancini was bland, which unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the meal. Both pasta dishes were underwhelming. The ragu was overly sweet and lacked depth and the "fresh" pasta tasted stale. The staff were very friendly and although all the tables were full, made room for us to sit in the window seating to enjoy our dinner. The food was gorgeous, very tasty, decent sized portions. Nestled in a cosy corner near Leeds bus station, this place is a gem for all pasta lovers. Food took way too long to come would so approximately 30 minutes , my food arrived 10 minutes after my partners food, when i received my food the sauce was wayy too sour like they added too much tomato puree or lots of lemon juice, it made me feel ill on how sour/bitter it was, i had to take it home with me because i just simply could not finish it because of the taste, i gave it to my dad to try and he said the same and couldn’t eat it. But overall my partner enjoyed his food but the service was quite bad there. Im not too sure if they was running out of supplies or because it was busy the reason my food tasted like that or just not put enough effort into the dish…

I'm italian, so I know a thing or two about good pasta. I'm literally writing this review from the toilet, where I had to run immediately after having lunch in Sarto. We had 2 starters and 2 plates of pasta. The starters: the focaccia tasted bland, was soggy at the bottom and it was served with an exaggerated quantity of low quality olive oil. The capunsei were buried under a mountain of grana (?) cheese. What's the point of drowning the capunsei in cheese if most of it is going to remain on the plate? The 2 dishes were an example of how NOT to cook Italian food: the pasta was overcooked, soft and bland, and likely not even freshly made, it actually looked like precooked. The cream was undercooked and the guanciale was soft. My wife had the ditalini and it tasted like dry minestrone. She didn't eat it. The waiter looked bored and didn't really care when we told him that the food was not good. Also, when you deliver a plate, you have to place it IN FRONT of the customer, not at their right, not at their left. If you are looking for proper Italian food look elsewhere

We really liked their online-only menu – a great idea for a restaurant that clearly focuses on fresh, changing dishes. The quality of the food is outstanding. It was £44 for a bottle of orange wine! I buy this regularly from a wine merchant for £15 a bottle, yet here we are with almost 150% mark up! A lunchtime meal for 6 came to over £300. £36 was added for Service Charge and there was mention of an extra donation to charity. Neither of which I did. I have just returned from Porto and not one restaurant added a service charge.

The Fugazzeta I felt was very sickly, the wagyu empanadas were very dense but had a good flavour. The Croquetas de asados were beautiful and would definitely recommend. The steak could have been better considering the price, we were in and out within an hour so the experience was unfortunately rushed but I did really enjoy certain aspects of the food. The steak accompaniments were great and we really enjoyed the vinaigrette in particular. Just due to the service I don’t think we will be in a rush to come back unfortunately.

Set in the Queens Arcade initial impression was wow quirky and was excited to eat here. Now let me tell you, the staff were lovely and friendly and yes I should have spoken up at the time. It was freezing inside, my cappuccino was warm not hot. I ordered smashed avocado on toasted sour dough bread. It was the smallest portion I've ever had of this dish and I left hungry. The plate was stone cold making my food barely warm. Not a dish you could ask to warm up. My partner had the full English breakfast again only warm and on a stone cold plate. This place could be amazing with a few tweaks. Invest in heaters to warm where customers sit and warm your plates to help keep food warm. Every member of our group had a different version of the Sunday lunch and all agreed their meats were perfect. I had the vegetarian haggis which wasn't for my tastes. Wanted to visit them and really enjoyed the food. Tried - samosa chat and masala chai. A small but well curated menu offering a range of items to suit all appetites and budgets. Service is friendly and fast with items like the thali being near-instant. There are lot of good places to eat in the market but this is up there with the best of them. Before ushering us in we were asked to give back the table in one hour. I wasn't sure what the ask was for since it wasn't a unlimited brunch place. It felt very rude and outright obnoxious. I asked her are you sure the food will come within an hour and she assured yes. And gave some reason for her question which was lost in the din. We were seated orders taken quickly. The drinks arrived quick enough. The guava juice was very tasty. The server had no idea what drinks he was serving and we took a guess and collected our respective ones. We ordered chicken tacos, katsu curry with rice, waffles and French toast with chicken. The brunch items were tasty must say but essentially the same ingredients. The tacos were pathetic. They weren't even taco shells and very heavy handed with feta cheese! Gosh! The katsu curry was nothing to write home about. The service was late like a train not getting clearance. We had some neighbouring patrons who came after us but got served before. Happens I guess. Someone sent back food claiming it was freezing. There was big crash in the bar with shattered glass. So lot of drama and delayed service. Seemed like a bad train journey overall. Unless you have a sweet tooth, avoid the place.

The venue itself has a large stage, awesome PA system with plenty of of big fat round bottom end. I attended the Boogaloo student night hosted by DJ Becky Webb. It was awesome. She kept the place rocking till 3 in the morning playing all sorts of classic tunes from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, creating a fabulous party atmosphere. Highly recommended and will attend again, very soon.

Also, veg one was good like melting cheese and saucy. Beef was not that great, more of salt and better cooked would have been good. Good place to hangout with friends. There’s a raised seating area in front of the photo booth that didn’t make sense since it’s just the table and the stools wasn’t too comfortable of a seating. A menu of the places on each table would have been nice or at least a link to a digital one if there is.
