So I went for the cheapest pairings and it wasn’t actually too bad, except that whenever they explain the wines and how it’s meant to go well with the dish, they were struggling to describe it properly with very bad diction, almost felt like they were nervous and unsure about what they were saying, asked couple of questions regarding some foods and wines, couldn’t really get clear answers from the staffs straight away as they were just mumbling? Spent almost £1,000 for 2 people, definitely not worth the money, seriously wonder how this place deserved 2 Michelin stars for 20+ years? I’ve been to few other 2 stars restaurants and by far this place has been the worst… the restaurant was awkwardly quiet so some background music would be great as when we first walked in there’s almost no one in the dining room so it felt super creepy, it’s just small details that they need to look for in order to make customers feel more comfortable and relaxed, definitely need a lot more training on staffs especially on knowledge parts so they could speak up a bit and explain things in a much better and clear way, keep the foods bit simple as well because all those hundreds of components won’t make the dish any better and rather ruin the flavour as it creates zero harmony and chemistry in between Also seems like they pay people to write a good review or make fake accounts to do that which is such a shame to the restaurant for their fame and reputation….

I went for the ribs and wings combo deal with a side of onion rings, the other half went for the burger, side and drink meal deal offer they had on for lunch time. For drinks I had an iced tea and she the other half had a lemonade. We were seated at around half 2, our orders were taken after around 10 minutes of deciding and twisting the button on the wall to say we were ready, and the food came out 10-15 minutes after. The ribs were lovely, tender and coated in a rich sauce. The fries were seasoned properly, hot and crisp with a fluffy inside, the corn on the cob was cooked nicely and well buttered, the slaw was beautiful, and the wings.... THE WINGS were my favourite part of the dish. A beautifully crispy light batter on the outside, tender, juicy and flavoursome chicken on the inside. The onion rings were spot on too! As for the other halves food, I didn't taste the pulled pork burger, but she said it was really good. The tater tots were blooming lovely though! As for the drinks, both the lemonade and iced tea were lovely and nicely chilled. We also had a carafe of tap water for the table. Overall, a great first time experience at this place, and we'll definitely return in the future. Also a big shout out to the staff working today, you were absolutely spot on, especially when dealing with the chap behind us who said his food was dry, (sure it was mate 🙄) but only when the bill came... We had the meat 7 course taster menu. It was absolutely fantastic. Each course got better and better. My husband is not a fish lover and I am not a lamb lover but it was all amazing and we would come again. My husband has never liked crab and he would choose this from the main menu next time. The staff were very attentive and knew exactly what was in the dishes. We were so full that we couldnt manage the 6th and 7th course so they kindly boxed them up for us to take away. We are on tour of the British Isles. Our hotel was across the canal from the Millworks and an easy 7 minute walk. Most full service restaurants in Cambridge require a reservation. We could not get in last night (Saturday) but we made an on-line 6PM for tonight. It is very easy to do so on line both from your cell phone and from a computer. We were greeted with friendliness and appreciation and seated right away. Our server, Ellie from Buenos Aires, was a real joy. Wife and I are now close to 80 and we do not eat as much as younger folks so we asked if we could split the Roast Beef menu option with a glass of wine for each, Ellie was a real considerate doll. She brought to us more than we could have possibly eaten individually and more than enough for the two of us to split, It filled us up. All was very flavorful. The beef was fork tender with great beefy flavor. The roasted potatoes were delicious. The Yorkshire Pudding was to die for. Sopping it in the gravy was a bonus. The carrots were tender and sweet. The rooms are clean and some of them look onto the street which is great. It’s located in a very nice spot, where you can walk the city. You can do punting by the river just 5 mins again. The dishes we chose were the Beef Bourguinon , really tender beef cheek and super creamy mash, also the new seafood linguine with plenty of juicy mussels and prawns, we had wine, pudding and coffee too and left feeling full and satisfied , would definitely recommend next time you are in Cambridge.

We were on a hunt for a great Beef Wellington and photos from this place got us on the hook. The Wellington itself was the highlight of our visit - it exceeded our expectations! We had a few starters and a swordfish as another main - they were good but probably not perfect, at least not on the same level as the Beef. The desserts were excellent! Decent prices as well. On the second night I had the veggie fajitas and they were also amazing. My milkshake was great, full of chocolate and cream. Chimichangas were hot and delicious, guac with them was cold and flavourful. My trailer trash burger looked quite charred from the outside but was packed with caramelised onion which balanced it really well. The service was great, we were checked on multiple times and courses were delivered quickly. The music was all classical rock with a focus on british rock bands as is the decor. Felt like I was in the vibe of playing guitar hero world tour when I was younger. Over all a great meal and vibes. I will point out this was at 3:15 on a Monday so it was basically just us and one other pair of customers. Regardless, I have nothing negative to say and will most likely be back whenever I'm in the area.

I visited the willow tree domes for my birthday last night and we had the loveliest time. The dome was nice and warm in the middle of December, and we had two attentive waiters that were keen to make our experience the best it could be. We waited quite a long time after our starter and only managed to get the staff’s attention after they passed by our area three times — not ideal, but we tried to stay patient. When I mentioned this to the man who I believe was the manager, his response — along with the attitude from the woman at the bar — was quite dismissive. He told me the waitress was a trainee, as if that explained the issue. But in my view, that points to a bigger problem with how the restaurant is being managed and how staff are trained. And to be fair, apart from the starter issue, the trainee waitress was lovely.
