We arrived early and the place was quite quiet so we got a table easily. The staff welcomed us and were attentive,pleasant and efficient. They were immaculately clean and smart. We ordered our food which came out quite quickly. All of the food was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. The food was excellent and very well presented. Obviously cooked in house I had onion bhajis that were thin and crispy with a delicious spice and flavour and served with a sauce that accompanied them perfectly. My main was lamb biriani. Again this was beautifully presented with loads of fresh flavours. The lamb was very tender and the vegetables not over cooked. I enjoyed it, though I could taste the treacle flavour quite strongly. Custard helped mask strong flavour. Other sticky toffee pudding tasted much more treacly with ice cream. The one who ordered it, didn't like the stronger flavour with the toffee sauce. But it was okay with pal who ate what was left of the dessert. They did agree had strong treacle flavours with sauce. But managed to eat it. Think we all agreed it needed to be sweeter flavour or not as much treacle added? Otherwise would of been really good dessert. Had nice sized piece of toffee sponge with plenty of toffee sauce. They both had main dishes, hot honey chicken burger and buttermilk chicken burger. Both really enjoyed their burgers. None left on plate. So it was a bit hit and miss for me with starter and all of us in agreement about toffee sauce. Just that bit too strong with treacle flavour, we missed sweetness from toffee sauce. Otherwise it would of been really good. As sponge was lovely, soft inside and nice texture. Just the sauce a let down. They had good access to restaurant and car park had plenty disabled parking spaces as well as usual parking spaces. Nice display at entrance with flowers. Good to see as weather changes and less colour in gardens etc...

Convenient payment via QR code may not suit everyone, especially if you're still rocking a Nokia 3310, but paying the staff is still an option, so fear not. The starters we just a portion of Chicken Pakora which so juicy and full of flavour and the sauce to accompany was out of this world. With its warmth, comfort and grandeur and range of rooms along with friendly and excellent service we rated our stay at the Murrayshall very highly.

There is a feature wall/fountain and a huge fish tank behind the bar which kept the kids entertained. Was last here in March 25 and all was very good. However, something has changed, firstly the attention to detail from staff has dropped. This was a Saturday lunchtime and it was not busy. The drinks we ordered arrived but some parts were incorrect (received an Americano instead of a Cappuccino and was asked if wanted milk for the latte....really?!) The menu has been significantly reduced. Still has the soup, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, with 5 or 6 other main items. My husband had soup which he said was delicious. My MIL had a turkey and cranberry sandwhich. She was asked if she wanted it toasted and answered no, but guess what...it arrived toasted. She couldn't be bothered to change it. I chose beef chilli with rice. This was the worst chilli I have ever had. The kitchen should be ashamed to send that out. The rice had obviously not been drained thoroughly and my plate was swimming in water. There was no tomato sauce in the chilli and was the most anaemic and insipid looking chilli I have ever seen and at £15, was not enjoyable and I didn't finish it. It's a shame as this was a good cafe earlier this year, but I will have second thoughts about buying anything other than a hot drink in future.

Totally avoidable situation if they had just officially listed this poorly run restaurant as closed for orders. Unfortunately they didn’t bother. Now me as the customer is left with the burden of having to prove I lost 8000 rewards points. This was an entirely avoidable situation, however the negligence of the manager at this location has shifted the blame away from them and onto the unaware customer to claim for any unfulfilled orders during this time. Added a photo of my drive through code to be pictured which should NEVER have been generated since they had knowingly and deliberately blocked the drive through with 3 large bins. The highlight of our lunch was the Bao Buns. The pork belly one was out of this world. The pork belly was crispy, the sauce was a great addition. I was really excited to visit when it reopened. The tuna philladelphia maki roll was very enjoyable. That was the highlight of my meal. The other dishes were average. On the whole, meal was fine. I preferred the authenticity of the previous menu, however the new menu may cater for a wider audience as there is a hint of britain in there too. The desserts seem very international. The service is still top notch and the decor of the establishment is also inviting. I'd specifically return to try the tuna tartare. I wish this business the best of luck. I stopped during a cycle heading to Dundee for a fry up. There’s outdoor seating for a nice day or you can also leave bike in front of window and see it from indoors. The fry up was brilliant and just the right amount of food. It was also served pretty quickly. Wasn’t sure what to expect with it being in a religious centre. There’s obviously religious stuff around/decorations etc but no one is trying to ram religion down your throat or anything like that. Would definitely stop in here again.
