Since the booking of the table to secure our Sunday roast during our staying at Manchester, until the closing of the bill. The environment is amazing. Very welcoming, comfortable and the Christmas decoration add a special touch to the meal. My favourite dishes include the brunch steak and eggs — the eggs taste high-quality and free-range, the steak is juicy and tasty, and the fries are crispy. Be sure to check out their regular promotions on the pancakes, as they include gluten-free! From their dinner menu, the fish pie is always a good choice. Amazing I would highly recommend Lowry 360 after you can walk around the gallery and look at a huge collection of his works plus there's some of his personal items. All for zero cost so be generous and put a little coin into the collection boxes. There is a cafe, restraunt, bar and a well stocked gift shop plus toilets in the building. The summer one was spectacular so went back from the Autumn one to celebrate my birthday. The walk to the restaurant through the casino could be off putting but it's worth it when you get to the restaurant. Everything about this is a pleasure, the food is outstanding (the jury's out on the suet pudding and mash but that could just be personal taste.) The wine is delicious and the service is faultless, if you're lucky enough to get Shiraz, you won't be disappointed, he's wonderful. When I asked again, the waiter insisted it was chicken. I pressed further, and he said he would check with the chef. The staff are friendly and always ensure great food and service. There is an extensive gluten-free selection here, including pasta, pizza and risotto. My go-to order is the mushroom risotto with added chicken, which is really tasty with extra cheese. I have also tried the Stromboli pizza with chillies, which is also a reliable choice. The vibes inside the restaurant are also great – it’s comfortable and caters to everything from casual dining to large groups and parties. I like the décor and open kitchen. My spaghetti carbonara was tasty and filling. My husband's king prawn spaghetti was drowned with chilli which spoiled the delicate prawn flavour. He was disappointed. When it says "with a Cadbury flake" and shows one, I didn't expect small shards of flake. The staff were lovely and did there best to make our visit a good one. With almost an hour's journey each way on a wet and miserable day there was an aire of disappointment though such that I can't see us going there again. Prezzo, Why send a voucher and encourage me to book a table without advising that my voucher wasn't valid at my nearest restaurant which the app selected? Surely you can do better. (It was in the very small print of which there is a considerable amount!)

On the positive side, the drinks were honestly amazing and came out very quickly. However, the music was turned up far too loud, making it difficult to have a proper conversation with the people I was dining with. I booked this for my husbands birthday. We had a 6.30 reservation on a Tuesday night so the restaurant was very quiet but livened up around 7.30. Our server was new and we were very understanding that everyone has to start somewhere. We ate in 3 stages, when the main came (last) the chips came 5-10mins before the dishes and rice so were all gone before the rest came, we asked for a replacement and we got an extra portion just after the rest. We then asked for 2 cocktails and the bill, around 20 mins later none had arrived, I then asked for the bill again, the chips were on the bill and the discount hadn’t been applied, we then asked someone else and this was sorted immediately. As a family we would always choose Gaucho as a destination for a occasion, because it felt special and the food was next level- you’d get to choose which cut of steak you’d like, from a platter prior to ordering & a sommelier would take you through wine pairings so you could choose one to compliment your food… none of this which made it such a special experience happened. I was asked which wine I wanted & I said red, but unsure which one- our server just said ‘we are known for our Malbec, just go for the house one’ to which I agreed and it was awful. We then were asked what we wanted to eat, no offer to look at cuts etc. we chose the sharing platter with a cut of each… we asked for it medium… it came well done, and was so dry we could barely chew it. The side of broccoli was cold & had what I presume was the almonds, just soggy on the top. We complained to the hostess Keira who happened to ask how we were getting on, she was extremely professional and rectified the situation immediately- sending fresh steak and sides to our table. Our server would barely look at us following this, she seemed annoyed & it made it even more awkward than it already was (we never complain so was a little out of our comfort zone) The standard of food was so bad, considering the prices are still very high. The best cut of meat on our platter was the rump, which usually is a cheap cut of meat. The platter came on a stone cold slab, so before we’d even scratched the surface with the food - it was cold. I asked for a butter topping, which I presumed would come melted on the steak, it came stone cold in a little pot… so I was expected to add cold butter to my cold steak. The chips were the best thing out of everything we ordered, which is laughable. Again we complained to Keira and she took all the food off our bill & gave us 2 complimentary glasses of champagne & offered for us to come back… we will not be going back. The dishes are small portion and good for sharing, the rice and bread are ordered separately. The food are nice, we ordered butter chicken, sticky chicken and angry bird, all of them are nice. We also got the Roti breads and rice, the rice is fine but personally I think the bread is not very special, so won't order it next time. The atmosphere and decoration are good, but there's plenty of beautiful restaurants in Manchester, so I won't say the atmosphere is particularly outstanding. Staff couldn't have been nicer- we booked and got placed in a booth. It would have been fine but the seating had a raised ledge at the back with no back rest- if you are larger or have mobility issues (both at play here) these are not the seats you want. Staff moved us, no fuss, thank you! Plenty of exciting vegetarian options (most appreciated), the black dhal was incredible, we ordered extra roti during our meal which arrived quickly. The seasonal dish Diwali cauliflower was disappointing- boiled, rather than roasted and was pretty bland. The pani puri excellent as ever and the sticky chicken apparently very nice. Our waitress was lovely and stayed and chatted when giving our bill and said she would feed back our cauliflower comments. All in all, enjoyable, great location, wonderful staff. Really rich vibrant sauce, and good level of heat. This was a dish I would go back to. Lamb biriyani was above average, good flavour and the lamb was more tender. Yes I understand it’s for a certain clientele but this is not a place that is worthy of its rewards. It’s food catered for the very mildest of pallets and I would not return.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with authentic Mexican touches, which added to the overall dining experience. The mains were also delectable. In this time we asked for a bottle of wine, to be told no, as the bar closed at 9 and we had 15 minutes to drink it. On an ANNIVERSARY dinner I was not allowed wine? I then asked why it said 10pm on the website to be snarkily told that they can close early if they want, if that’s the case then surely update your bookings? What if we had booked for 10pm?! We then politely asked for the 40% off advertised on the website, to be cut off with they don’t do that here and asked how we want to pay. For a 90 pound bill I would expect a bit more grace also considering we were only sat for 45 mins. They then had the CHEEK to request a tip on the card machine, we proudly said no. We walked out with no thank you, no come again nothing, just ignored by staff in their own clothes chatting at the bar in their phones. It’s such a shame as their food is delectable (5 stars to the chef) however the service was disgusting and being eyed and rushed through a dinner of 5 pounds or 90 is not okay. And to the no mannered, ruthless senior woman who I assume was the manager, clearly needs to learn proper service and hospitality skills, and probably should be demoted, clearly an old dog doesn’t learn new tricks unfortunately

We felt so terrible for the staff but their professionalism and friendliness remained unmoved and the way it was handled was really great, given it was 11pm on a Saturday. A hidden restaurant underground between subway. Didn’t realise it’s a full vegetarian Indian restaurant. Ordered one of each that was recommended from the Bundo menu. I had the BUNDO CHAAT £6.75 - loved this, however it was just samosa pastry with sauces and chickpeas. PANEER TIKKA £8.50 - loved this, cheese and veg grilled skewers,. PANEER KADAI £8.50 - cheese in tomato curry sauce, it was so overpriced, but it came with a bread, it was far too spicy without any warning, so had to leave this dish. It’s around £6-8 per dish, a side and a drink. My order total came to £37 😭 it was definitely far more than I expected to spend on such small dishes. Overall, I felt it was really overpriced as there was was no meat in the dishes and portion size was small. It did taste good, so Maybe would be favourable for the veggies, but I did feel it was not worth it. Especially when I had ordered quite a bit and staff didn’t advise that it came with a bread.
