The mocktail made with beet was amazing, super unique and surprisingly delicious. Definitely a standout. For appetizers, we had the burrata dish. The interior is cosy, and the tastefully decorated room breathes class and calm. Acoustics were good despite the fact that all tables in our room were occupied. Our waiter was a pleasure to be served by. The menu suggests ordering 2-3 dishes from the menu per person, which made me think the dishes were more tapas-sized. However the waiter clarified which dishes were more consistent with mains vs appetitizer size vs somewhere in between. By no means are we connoisseurs regarding Duck confit, but when compared to ones we've ordered in Toronto restaurants, the size of the duck leg was much larger. Yummy oysters, 6 for $16. Sea urchin (uni) was so, so, so good. It was so complex, but so well done. Scallops were great too. We tried duck ham, which my partner enjoyed. Rabbit pasta was fantastic. With a little less salt it would have been absolutely perfect. Service was amazing. I could tell that hosts, servers, bartender, all really cares about their customers’ experience. Every dish was incredible by every measure. Textures were a hit, sauce flavours were mouth-watering, and the dishes were very innovative (popcorn w/ corn sauce, cucumber spheres). The pork belly was the best I've ever tasted - tender, juicy, fat exploding with flavour. The cocktails and wine we had were equally tasty. We chose the tasting menu, and it was definitely the best option for a first visit. We were able to try a variety of dishes, each more delicious than the last. J’avais essayé d’y aller quelques fois lors de mes visites à Québec mais c’était toujours complet, et je comprends pourquoi. Alors que les smokehouse propose toujours les mêmes plats, présentes de la même façon, biceps fait les choses à sa manière. C’est un smokehouse avec des plats travaillés. Le personnel en cuisine sait ce qu’il fait et l’expertise se reflète dans l’assiette. Je ne connais pas les chefs mais c’est sûrement des gens généreux. Les portions sont garnies et les plats sont riches. Par exemple, le Mac n cheese avec gras de canard garni d’un carré de fondue parmesan. Nous avons dû rapporter tellement il y avait des plats. Des saveurs aux présentations, tout est fait pour une expérience smokehouse haut de gamme. Je cuisine sur un fumoir à la maison, je peux faire la majorité des plats de smokehouse, mais Biceps est le nouveau sommet à atteindre. La place est sombre mais l’œil s’y fait après quelques minutes. This year we were in luck. Busy place and a nice loungy type of vibe which I was not expecting. The menu is interesting as they have hummus and a burrata dish (not your typical Asian dishes) and the egg rolls are a mix of bison and pork. Hubby ordered the won ton soup and the egg rolls to start which he enjoyed. We ordered the beef and broccoli and the general tao chicken to share. Both dishes were quite good. I’m not sure how “authentic” you could consider this restaurant but it is good!

For the experience and service it would be okay but the scones were stale and a bit hard. The sandwich tasted old as the bread was stale. The tea for black needs boiling hot water not just hot water. Plus they didn’t put enough tea leaves into teapot so it was weak. Didn’t offer milk. There teapot gives you 2 cups out of it. They would come around adding hot water but using tea leaves over again instead of new tea leaves only gives you very weak tea. Plus I took their house tea so had to pay $5 more for tea. For a teaspoon of tea leaves this is outrageous as loose leave tea is expensive but not that expensive so they are making a killing off of the tea part. I would still recommend it as a special event but make sure the food isn’t stale as that really is a downer.
