We customised the menu by ordering the mains we wanted as opposed to going by the set menu and they happily complied. Not her fault the food was not good and had to take the heat from other guests. For the price, ~$140 USD per person for the meal and wine - was grossly disappointing. This amount for food in Morocco is VERY expensive. I wish this restaurant all the best - maybe this was an off night, since the other reviews really swing. I would not recommend as it seems inconsistent and not worth it for the unknown.

We were the only customers for our entire meal in that gorgeous Riad. I ordered the 150 MAD vegetarian cous cous, my hubby ordered the 160 MAD lemon chicken tajine, and the waiter came back saying it would take 40 more minutes for my order, but if I wanted the 180 MAD chicken pastilla, it could be served quickly with my hubby’s tajine. I agreed. I’ve never had any type of sweet/savory chicken dish before and my first pastilla was delicious! Sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon, it was savory inside, flavored with warm spices. My husband loved his tajine. For that set price, they start you off with a nice soup, then Moroccan “salad”, and the menu says they will end with seasonal fruits, but they gave us a yummy flan type dessert with caramel sauce instead. Also the fresh squeezed OJ was fab. With such gorgeous decorations surrounding us, (truly beautiful!) we recommend! They also have 9 rooms for rent in their Riad.

Grateful to the pick up service that the restaurant offers to collect customers from neighbouring riads. We ate quite late and left the restaurant at 10.30pm, after closing time and the staff happily walked us home. Prices are on the dearer side but still very reasonable for a tourist-catering and English speaking restaurant, and in comparison to other touristy restaurants nearby. Great to also eat amongst the locals. Highly recommend the pastilla and a must visit when in Fes.
