Valley parking was fairly expensive. $59 for the night. They said parking at the parkade next door would be the same price, but after asking a friend they said it was only $17 for the night. Dessert was tirimisu, which is a fairly easy to make dessert. The ones from Costco taste so much better. This one was overly sweet, had no coffee liqueur flavours at all. The hotel was nice and comfy and we enjoyed the bed, shower, partial harbor views, and took advantage of the restaurant as well for breakfast as we left. My favourite cake shop in Richmond! I always get birthday cakes for my family and friends from this place, and all of my friends love Yudi's cakes. I especially love that you can pick assorted chiffon cake slices and have them arranged like a whole cake. It's great if everyone wants to try different flavours or has different tastes—no more fights over the cake choice, so everyone is happy! :D The chiffon cakes are the must-tries. They are very moist, light, and not overly sweet or "heavy." My personal favourites are the chestnut chiffon (a must-try if you like chestnut!) and the pistachio chiffon. The mango one is also great; I definitely recommend it if you're a fan of mango. Hojicha, Thai tea, chocolate, and strawberry jam are very tasty as well. The kids loved the chocolate, mango, and strawberry jam chiffon cakes. (If you love the taste of whipped cream, definitely try the strawberry jam one!) I also love the Japanese rare cheesecake; it's so light and delightful. The only downside is that the cake is very sensitive to heat. It will "collapse" if you leave it in a warm place or near a heat source (I learned my lesson from stacking it on top of my hot takeout, lol). They are so sweet and it’s a locally owned business my a husband and wife. Immediately when we walked in some of the sweetest staff there offered us mini red velvet cupcakes. The staff were knowledgeable and were spending time with us to help us decide a on a gift we were looking to buy. They gave personable recommendations and offered samples for anything we were unsure about so we were sure about our choices. This business is what you come to expect from people who are proud and excited about what they do. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for sweets for any occasion or custom cakes!
