This place is an absolute gem and hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The service was fast, professional, and consistent, making the entire experience even better.
The pizza was incredible, perfectly baked, loaded with fresh, high quality ingredients, and full of flavor in every single bite. The pasta was just as amazing, cooked perfectly al dente with a rich, creamy, and well balanced sauce that was packed with flavor. And the lasagna was absolutely perfect. Layers of fresh pasta, rich sauce, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned meat made it one of the best lasagnas we have ever had.
We also tried a few other items and everything we ordered was outstanding. The flavors were amazing, the portions were generous, and the overall quality was far beyond expectations.

Must stop here in Cozumel for us!!!! The pizza and baked break is insane cooked in a huge wood fired oven you can see when walking in! We come to Cozumel yearly and Guido's is always a spot we eat at once or twice while here in the island. If you love sangria this is some of the best I've ever had (not a wine drinker at all either) with freshly cut apples and other fruits in a large ceramic pitcher.
Just outside is located the oceanfront view which has the most amazing sunsets on the island which I pictured for you.
Ps Guido's is a little more upscale then your local taqueria so will be paying $80-100 for a nice meal for your family.

Visitamos Gudos el fin de semana y fue una grata sorpresa. Al llegar había una fila de personas esperando, así que nosotros también tuvimos que esperar a que se liberara una mesa. Desde fuera el lugar parece pequeño, pero al entrar te encuentras con un patio muy agradable, lleno de plantas y con muchas mesas.

Easily the best meal we’ve had in Cozumel. First, little tortillas stuffed with refried black beans topped with mole sauce and nopales. Second, Lionfish cakes (ask for the habanero cream sauce on the side). Entrees, I had the Octopus Pastor and my wife had the Red Snapper “Mayan style”. Finished off with the dessert special, a corn panna cotta over a corn cake made to look like an ear of corn! Everything was delicious, can’t recommend this place enough!

I came all the way from New York to Mexico, and this was actually my very first meal here. I was so excited to finally taste some authentic local flavors—but honestly, this place left me a little disappointed.
The food leaned heavily toward a more Westernized, Caucasian-style flavor profile: tons of cheese, very bland, and lacking depth or spice. It felt more like something I’d get at a resort rather than a local gem. As someone who’s quite picky and came to the island specifically for the food experience, it just didn’t hit the mark.
BUT—the atmosphere? 10/10.
Service? Even better. They lit mosquito coils for us, sprayed bug repellent when we asked, and the staff were super attentive and sweet.
Music? Absolutely fire. Seriously, the playlist was amazing.
I do suspect the restaurant might be owned or run by Americans, which would explain the flavor profile. And one thing that really bummed me out: I came alone and wanted to try the Chef’s Menu, but they wouldn’t serve it unless there were at least two people. That felt a bit unfair, especially for solo travelers.
Overall, this place has a great vibe and fantastic service, but if you’re a foodie hunting for bold, authentic Mexican flavors—you might want to keep looking.

Very Limited vegan options, but there is one which is very tasty (cauliflower tacos). Not an overly cheap place either in comparison to a few others in the area, but it is very atmospheric and beautiful to have a light dinner at. Hopefully you are not too hungry as a vegan and come for the atmosphere instead. :)

The setting is very unique and beautiful. The food was fantastic. I had the lion cakes and the Mayan catch of the day, each dish was very flavorful. The cocktails are also great. Prices are high but the food is good enough to match. Service is friendly and professional, however if you may need any accommodation you should rethink going here. My wife ordered the ribeye risotto, and was asked how she would like the steak. She said medium because she is pregnant and does not want any chance of undercooked meat causing illness. The steak slices arrived rare, which looked delicious but it's not what was requested. She asked our server to have it cooked fully, when it came back it looked like it was just seared a second time and still rare to medium rare. It didn't seem like a language issue, they knew she wanted it fully cooked through. We ended up taking it to go so we could fully cook it in the microwave. Everything else was great, but that issue made it very difficult to enjoy the rest of the meal.

This restaurant is famous in Cozumel for a reason. Reservations are required. I had the best meal of my life here. The calamari appetizer was excellent, but the shrimp and crab ravioli was life-changing. My husband’s filet mignon was incredibly tender and juicy, and he said it was the best he has ever had. Spent the afternoon here. Plenty of beach chairs, loungers both on the beach and around the pool. Sandy access to the ocean is small but usable. Apparently good snorkeling right there. Though we did not snorkel, you could see fish from the pier.
Service was great. Pedro kept coming by to check on our bucket of beer to add fresh ice and take away empties and see if we needed anything else.
Chicken sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in years. The firecracker cauliflower was decent as well, though it was not breaded as I expected.

My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience here. All around, excellent service, food, and atmosphere with a view of the sunset that was beautiful. I had made a Wednesday 7:00 dinner reservation inside because we wanted AC, though they also had a beautiful patio seated area too. When we arrived we were greeted and seating at a table by the window with a view. Our server, Julio was excellent, friendly and attentive, he made our experience very enjoyable.
We ordered cocktails. To note: they make great Slightly Dirty Martini and a Lychee Martinis. We were served complementary bread which was so good. We then ordered a few appetizers to share, the Mussels and Fries, Chicken Satay Skewers, and the Crispy Soft Shell Crab. The mussels were excellent, big and cooked perfectly. Chicken satay was good, the peanut sauce served with it was so good. The soft shell crabs were excellent and there were 2 full size crabs, fried to a crunchy perfection.
Atmosphere: romantic, high end dining experience. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

We are so happy that we found this place... we came with a cruiz ship and we're looking for a place to spend the day. The place had excellent reviews and was only 15 min a taxi drive away from the ship. The taxi was $20 in one direction. The Buccanos place is super clean, fantastic staff and great beach. We did some snorkeling and had lunch. We ordered fish and chips, chrispy chicken sandwich, soft shell crab and grilled octopus... we also had a bunch of drinks... so we paid $60 entrance fee, which goes towards the food consumption and our total in the end was $123 (60 we already paid).
I would recommend the place and would visit again. The restrooms were super clean, the food was amazing.

Cozy little spot with really yummy entrees available. Everything tasted fresh and healthy. They’ve got TVs on the sides with advertisements of all the food, so it made it harder to order as everything looked solid. The restaurant itself was a bit tiny, so we were packed in like sardines in a can, but that made it feel more homey! The main courses were great, but the desserts are where this place truly shines. The tarts were phenomenal, we had to take some to-go. I think we ended up trying many of them, but unfortunately didn’t capture in pictures.

This gem delivered an unforgettable dining experience with its authentic Mexican cuisine, warm hospitality, and incredible value. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness, setting the tone for a fantastic meal.
The complimentary chips and salsa were a highlight—fresh, homemade chips paired with a unique salsa that wasn’t the typical red variety but burst with flavor. We ordered the fajita mix with shrimp and chicken, and on a whim, asked to add beef, which was a brilliant choice. The fajitas were sizzling, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, showcasing the authenticity of the cuisine. The homemade tortillas elevated every bite. We also got a side of rice and beans, which were unlike anything we’ve had in the U.S.—distinctive, flavorful, and a must-try.
The margaritas were a standout: perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and easily some of the best we’ve ever had. The restaurant itself was spotless, with a clean kitchen that added to our confidence in the food’s quality.
The taxi ride from the Celebrity Cruises port was a quick $10, making it an easy trip.
For two of us, the bill came to just $50, including drinks and a generous amount of food—an incredible deal for such quality. La Choza is a place where every detail, from the fresh ingredients to the exceptional service, comes together perfectly.

Naftale gave us excellent service and while we try with our Spanish, we are truly horrible and Naftale was able to accommodate us. Delicious gem in Cozumel! These chocolates are very high quality and the flavors are delicate and unique. I wasn't able to stay and savor my treats this time, but they packaged up my purchase very well and it made it all the way back home safely in January.
Note that these chocolates are plant-based/vegan, so no cream or butter. Some ganaches have a mild coconut flavor because of this. I was worried about the chocolates tasting like sunscreen, but they did a good job of balancing that flavor so it complimented the natural chocolate without overwhelming it. (I think removing the dairy also extends the shelf life of the chocolates without refrigeration, but I am not sure there.)
In my rush to return to my ship, I completely forgot to buy their drinking chocolate mix, which was wonderful! Next time I find myself near Cozumel, I will definitely stop by for more.

We LOVE this bakery. Some of the freshest pastries and bread we tried on the island. Their conchas are wonderful and the cup of coffee was pretty good too. All the staff are so kind, and the atmosphere was very clean. We like to enjoy a snack on the patio, then take a big bag of pastries home for future breakfasts. One of my favorite places to set and enjoy a pastry, break, or cake in the mornings. They make the best bolillos/teleras on the island and they are amazing when they just come out of the oven. Don't miss the breakfast pizza/pastry, chocolate muffins, or oatmeal cookies. La Cozumelena is an absolute must if you're spending a few days in Cozumel.
We stopped in for breakfast one morning. We noticed that it was full of locals getting a meal in before heading to their jobs and just KNEW this was the place to eat. Our server was very friendly and double checked on us through the meal.
We started off with some coffee and one of their fresh juices (delicious). They also have an extensive list of smoothies if you're feeling like something lighter/healthier to start your day.
We then split two breakfast entrees: huevos motulenos and huevos jarochos. Both of these dishes are specialties of the area that I would highly recommend you try. Our favorite was the huevos jarochos which are like little breakfast enchiladas.
There's also a bakery connected if you want some coffee and a pastry.
If we find ourselves in Cozumel again, we are 100% going to pay this place a visit.
