The seasonal food was fantastic. Innovative, tasty, well presented. There’s real talent here. Friendly service which was both professional and informative. The dining room was small, with a nice vibe. I could have eaten everything on the menu which was complemented by a number of ‘specials’ too. And the warm treacle tart with lemon thyme & passionfruit ripple ice cream the best I’ve ever had. A real stand out amongst many. Three courses for £39.50 is an absolute bargain for cooking of this level. Worth the trip out of London, which combined with a tour around Arundel makes for an excellent day out. Highly recommended.

It's warm, cosy, nicely laid out without too many covers and the ceiling is (stylishly) covered in acoustic dampening panels which makes hearing your own table easy - something many restaurants neglect i find. The food was utterly incredible, and perhaps, the best "bang for your buck" food ive eaten in the last decade. The pulled shoulder of lamb special i ate was possibly the best main course i've ever eaten, period. Eating out is our guilty pleasure, and despite visiting numerous Michellin stars around the country, all things considered, Parsons Table comfortably enters my top 3 restaurants in the UK. We can't wait to visit again next month.

Place was quite busy. Staff very friendly and we were seated quickly. Drinks ordered and arrived quickly, but took them half an hour to return and take our food order. The downside to that was a large group of bikers came to the pub, all of them on Harley Davidsons which were very loud. It must've been 20-30 of them cause they kept coming and coming. Martha checked back on us again and I requested another pint of lime & soda, which was promptly brought to the table. Once we finished our food, all the plates were taken away and dessert menus brought for each of us, however we decided against. We really liked the food and the service. The only downside was the loud noise made by the Harleys, but that is out of the pub's control. Overall a very nice experience and we would happily recommend the pub to anyone for good food and relaxed atmosphere.

The location was very handy to where we stayed . We were walk in customers and got a table straight away even though the place looked full . The staff was friendly, polite and helpful, we ordered hot and sour soup, without realising that it was non vegetarian. The soup was served hot and was very flavoursome.. For mains we ordered chicken in Szechuan style , seasonal vegetables in Szechuan style along with egg fried rice and boiled rice . The food was served really hot , without much delay and was reasonable in taste. We felt a bit rushed when the waiter came to the table to clear the plates when one of us was still having the meal. Appreciate if there were more vegetarian options in appetisers/ soups etc. we felt that food was bit pricey for the quantity and quality served in comparison to similar places , nevertheless it was an enjoyable night. There were over 90 of us in our party but it went very smoothly. The room was lovely the tables laid beautifully and the service was excellent. Except for the bar man who was rather brusque. My partner and I had pre ordered a 3-course dinner from a set menu at this beautiful hotel for Valentine’s Day and were very excited about it. Upon arrival we were the first to be sat, and was told a glass of Prosecco and tap water will be arriving shortly. 25 Mins later our starter arrived, before our drinks. The starter tasted very bland and to be honest tasted like supermarket food. The BBQ sauce for the antipasti im pretty sure is just Heinz BBQ sauce. 10 mins into our starter our glass of Prosecco and tap water finally arrived. At this point there were only half a dozen of tables, not very busy. Our mains arrived promptly after, and were greeted with dry and bland chicken and fondant potato was just awful. Having finished our mains, the plates sat at the side of the table for about 30mins, no one came over to check on us or offer us any drinks. We then waited a further 20 mins for our desserts by which point we had ran out of patience and asked a waitress for the bill. Then a young chap dumps a jug or water on our table, despite already having one and then that same waitress brings us 1 of our 2 desserts, I assume to try and change our minds but having waited nearly an hour for just the desserts, enough was enough. We met a lovely couple who sat next to us who started to have them same problems we did. By this point the restaurant was full and the staff were working very hard but were lacking the basics of customer service. It seemed very unorganised and frantic. We got 50% of the bill but still doesn’t make up for a horrid time. I will stress this is solely based on the restaurant and not the hotel itself. Having worked in the industry myself I understand reviews like this aren’t pleasant, especially when you’ve worked hard but hopefully it will be used constructively.

The location is easy to find but the parking is pretty limited and we had to park in the lane as did many other people. For the main course I went for the pork belly and my valentine had the filo chicken pie. Both dishes were well cooked and tasted as good as they looked. What an absolute find this was. The most amazing team working there. Food was beautiful, biggest and most meaty, flakey fish with the lightest crunchy ale battered piece of haddock i have ever eaten. Family had homemade beef stroganoff and the homemade burger that was all amazing. Desserts was amazing. One of the best places we have eaten in and the prices just makes it ever better.

The portions are generous with lots of succulent meat, really tasty sauces and well presented. Ive been a few times and each dish tastes very different. We thoroughly enjoyed the pub from the moment we walked in,with an acknowledgement from the bar straight away and then taken to an available table even though it was busy. The food was amazing, such good quality, amazing portions and so reasonable for the stand of food that was delivered to our table. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. However when we opened it we saw that they had not changed them and they were still Jelfrizi. We are very little as they were too spicy for us. Afterwards we called them to tell the kitchen had not changed our orders and ask for a refund. On the phone the man was not surprised it was still the wrong order but said that they do not offer refunds. Could have just said that in the first place, why take our food back to kitchen and make me wait just to write masala and lie about changing them. Very disappointed

We stayed in Room3 which fronts onto the High Street. I walked into the room and it hugely exceeded my expectations: large and airy, robes, a chaise at the end of the bed. Our room was clean and really well equipped including aircon, the outside areas are well looked after and the bar is cosy and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The whole thing is let down by the restaurant. Service is very poor. We had to go to find our waitress in the bar as she had forgotten to take our order. The "while you wait" bread and oils took 30 minutes to arrive, the main courses are very nice once they arrived. Which took a while. At breakfast not enough tables were laid, the waitress blamed it, jokingly, on us all arriving at the same time. Only part of the restaurant is laid for breakfast leaving some people finding a table in the main area rather than the breakfast area. This happened both Saturday and Sunday. Service was again very slow as the poor waitress was all alone and rushed off her feet however this meant that she was taking orders in the wrong order, later arrivals first, and seemingly forgetting others. Breakfast was variable. The full English was very nice but the poached eggs were uncooked once opened. The restaurant itself looks like it is currently being renovated and it might have been better to move food services to the bar which is much nicer.

Food was lovely, tasty but not over the top. I would describe it a "earthy" (in a good way). I was surprised to see a hazy IPA beer on the menu and it made my evening as it was a tremendous one. We stayed in a cabin/wagon which was so wonderfully peaceful and very luxurious with a fantastic outdoor (and indoor) proper rain shower with huge flow so really lived upto the name. Breakfast was very high quality with the same wonderful ingredients and attention to detail as dinner. The main house has a great view over a secluded valley. You feel like you have left the rat race for a while. We left so relaxed and peaceful and plan to return. Great for a romantic get away. Highly recommended!

However, there are a couple of things that made it a disappointing visit for us. The first is that on arrival at the restaurant, 3 members of staff passed us waiting in the hall without acknowledging our presence. Once we were seated, we were offered water for the table which never arrived. I had to requested it two more times before it was brought over. The restaurant was not busy and most tables had already been seated and served. One of the server's had a ripped shirt which I was surprised wasn't addressed in the time that we were there. We also found that some of the food didn't have much flavour - I had the beetroot carpaccio starter and struggled to taste anything but the onion which covered the dish. We ordered the steak to share (a proper treat for us and the most expensive thing we've ever eaten!) which was cooked really well and I can't fault to be honest. It came with a Chimichurri sauce (my husband's favourite). Chimichurri should pack a punch of flavour, but this was pretty flavourless (apart from the onion, again) and though I flagged it with the waitress, there was no recourse or further follow up. Room was clean and comfortable. The pub itself was very nice and all the staff very friendly. Next door is the fabulous Catholic Cathedral which is worth a visit. The continental breakfast was more than acceptable and set us up nicely for the day. Arundel itself was very pleasant. Probably better to visit in spring, summer or autumn when the castle is open, but we found enough to see and do for a couple of days. There are some nice pubs, a good selection of cafes/restaurants and plenty of shops to look around. We took the train to Bognor Regis for half a day and whilst the promenade was nice to walk along until it started raining, the rest of the town had little to commend it. Probably better to discover the nicer villages and countryside in and around the South Downs to be honest. Happy to recommend the Inn and Arundel though.

We had not been to this establishment before but fancied trying something new. Upon entering, there is a good ambience about the place. The decor is calm and the atmosphere very warm. We were greeted immediately and offered to choose our own table, which we did. The menu is focussed around the burgers and so we opted for the 'Californian'. We also ordered a chilli con carne as a sharing dish just to try it. The burger was definitely worth 5 stars - it was absolutely delicious. Cooked to a tee, it oozed flavour and had good quality ingredients within. The accompanying fries were crispy and were seasoned well. We both agreed it was delicious. The chilli looked very appetising and was accompanied with rice which was nicely prepared. However, we both though the chilli had missed the mark as the dominant flavour was tomato and chilli. Somehow, the beef was a little lost within. We fed this back to the very courteous and accommodating Jonny who was on hand to ensure all customers were looked after. The staff were all excellent. We will definitely return for a burger and to try other options on the menu.

The lady in charge seemed to have very poor English and when we asked about certain cakes she said one was Almond with custard filling plus a almond flavoured danish. so when we got home we were a bit disappointed to find they were actually toasted coconut with no filling and cinnamion danish instead of almond. Not great that she didnt even know what she was selling or the flavour plus nothing was priced and both were £3.00 each and also they werent particularly that nice and didnt seem fresh or soft ( it was only 4 degs out) it does annoy me thats market stalls pay no high street costs like shops but continue to rip people off certainly wouldn't recommend or advise to go to Slindon bakery / patisserie
