After reading the reviews and also being reccomended on a local Facebook group I had to book it. When we arrived my first thought was oh my, it's tiny! We at first walked straight past ut, But, dont let that put you off! , it's actually a really intimate, cosy setting. It was completely booked up, which speaks volumes itself. The staff are so very friendly amd welcoming, making the effort not only to serve us but to engage and laugh with us. The food was incredible! I had seafood and my husband fillet steak. It was just melt in the mouth! So tasty and full of flavour. Lovely fresh oysters too! Great wine too! We really enjoyed are time there and will definatley visit again when in the area.

An amazing night at The Bridge. Stuart and his team went above and beyond. A group of us arrived early to decorate the ‘outdoor in’ marquee - Stuart had power washed the ground in prep and was on hand helping us hang our decorations and support in any way. A beautiful venue…the prosecco flowed, the buffet was delicious (congrats to the chef) and the views were to die for. Such a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend for a celebration of any kind…a drink, meal or even one of their mouth-watering roasts on a Sunday. This chickpea burger was without doubt the best we’ve tasted. It was so so lovely. Not dry and full of flavour. The chips were cooked to perfection too and portion size not too big or snall. Service was friendly and food prompt. The views across the water were beautiful and we loved that it was dog friendly. A really great experience for us. We will be back.

Tosca's is a real Shoreham gem. Every dish was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with high quality ingredients. All six of us agreed everything was top notch! Looks like the place has been renovated recently so it's all spick and span, complete with fairy lights and hanging baskets. Lovely decor and plenty of seating both inside and out. Great glass back to the pub which you wouldn’t realise from the front. Lots of tables or roofed huts to sit outside with views over the river, also surprisingly quiet of road noise. Dan, the new owner, happened to be outside and very kindly offered to make us a drink even though he wasn’t actually open yet. Food currently starts at midday but will also be a lovely place to also go for breakfast which they may be introducing, which isn’t available anywhere else with a view. There is a car park across the bridge which is a nice walk over the bridge and to the pub. Thoroughly recommend and will be back.

Unfortunately, I had to rate the food much less. We ordered the mussels, two lots, and the mussels were very small, overcooked, and the 'classic sauce was watery and did not have a great flavour. (Only 5 people using when I was there Thursday in May 12.45 pm on a blue sky sunny day) Problem for me was majority of seating was closed bench type (need to lift leg over to get in) they also had seen better days - looking very old and worn. There was some newer editions with movable bench seating along with some covered booths on perimeter But I prefer a bit more comfort at my late age. Not wheelchair friendly from Main Street entrance but you could go down side of building to get to outside terrace - but then should you need the toilet which is inside there are more steps ( just the nature of the old building) nice clean gents -liquid soap warm air dryer all working well. Friendly staff cool beer varied menu but too pricey on my budget. Does not suit my needs but inside better furniture equipped.

It has a decent variety of local beers, ales, and gins. There was a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating for its size. I popped in today and ordered an espresso and two bottles of water at the counter. After I paid I was told that there might be a delay with my coffee as they were busy - fair enough. The young girl looked under pressure and had a number of tickets in front of her ahead of mine. She was quite apologetic and I went back outside to wait. She looked up and said “Yes?” To which I replied that I was still waiting for an espresso and that I really had to get going (my car park time was nearly up). Today we have received the highest level of services from Head of Bar and Manager, professional, friendly and attentive. Had to chase this up until the Monday and had a reply saying they would need to check the time it was paid for / check cameras of kitchen to see if it was prepared on time and asked for a picture of my food (thankfully I did!). At this point I just felt like I was under an investigation? I then hear nothing for the next 4 days which makes it exactly a week since I ordered. I chase it up again. They said they will only refund me for the rice and chicken satay but not my main meal (pad Thai) because according to them it was prepared to ‘standard’ and they have to protect their staff. They again refused to refund me for this so after paying for a £42 meal of which 50% of it was cold I was refunded £12 which I had to chase up continuously over a week. Bad service, poor communication , no respect for customers, and damn right greedy. The pad Thai was my main meal which I explained was cold , surely you should respect and believe the customer not the camera of when you saw it be prepared , bare in mind we had to wait when we arrived on time to collect? We moved here from Brighton a few months ago and Brook has become our firm favourite. Such lovely staff and really good quality food. Really high standard. Love the small plates, the squid is a must have along with the beef cheek and pork oh and the lamb chops too are wonderful. Oh and the smashed potatoes which are basically the best roast potatoes. Vic is a lovely bloke but the food is utterly tasteless. I called up to tell him how awful the food was, he said he’d not had 1 complaint in all of 9 years, google says otherwise. The service is great, the restaurant is clean and the staff went above and beyond. My bus arrived as my food was being prepared, they said go and jump on it, as I paid for the bus the lovely young man was standing there with my food.
