The food was very good one of the best roasts I’ve had in a long time. The desert was amazing a very generous portion (I could of ate 2 if I wasn’t so full) Even though it was very busy this day the service was quick and the staff was very polite and accommodating for so many of us nothing was too much hassle. My family who joined me also, hadn’t been before and was very impressed. Will most definitely be returning and a great place to keep in mind for any future events! The upstairs area was perfect! One unexpected stop for lunch for 3, which was delicious. We returned with a group of 10 for a family meal and I mistakenly booked the restaurant online, the only area that is dog free and I had a dog with me. The staff could not have been more helpful. They arranged tables just outside the restaurant area and served up a broad variety of meals to suit our varied tastes, in good time and to a high standard. Most of us even had dessert! A really nice atmosphere with lovely lighting. Would definitely recommend and will be going again. Thank you to all the staff involved, you are a credit to The Mill!

However, I imagine if they are fully booked this wouldn't be as possible as it looks like they use the bar for over flow restaurant reservations. We requested an additional seat at very short notice which was actioned immediately. The service, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The food, plentiful and tasty. We decided to try somewhere new locally though, and gave the Redfort a go. We called to book a table for the next day, and were booked in by a friendly chap called Jewels. Poppadoms came with 6 sauces/chutneys and all were really nice. Main courses were a King Prawn Jalfrazi and a Lamb Korma. Both with rice's and a Peshwari Naan. Food came out in good time, was piping hot and was absolutely delicious. Not oily or watery, you could taste the different spices and flavours and the prawns were decent sized. The Lamb was like it was slow cooked, not tough or chewy. Two coffees to finish a great meal. As important as the food, is the service, and this was faultless. Jewels was awesome, always seemed to be there if you needed anything, but not at all imposing. Nothing was too much trouble and it was clear he was proud to deliver service as it should be. Foid is fantastic and very reasonably priced considering the quality. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and it is definitly worth going out of your way to go there. I needed a table for four, away from the door (Dec is chilly), polite, professional, and confident. The restaurant took my details, and I felt reassured my booking had been recorded. And after a one night stay here it confirmed that demolition (or a complete refurb) is exactly what it needs. The staff were all friendly, but that cannot make up for the woeful state of the hotel. After seeing the state of my 1960s room that reminded me of my nan's bungalow (my small room had a kitchen) I knew my only saving grace would be to consume copious amounts of alcohol and pass out on the partially deflated bed, but to my dismay the bar was 'closed until further notice', with the only explanation when asked 'why!?' being 'the owners said so'. With that said I'm happy to report that I survived the night here unscathed, despite the headache inducing smell of what seemed like chlorine coming from the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel. I hope the owners see sense and opt for a complete refurb or a full blown demolition by way of wrecking ball - just so the lovely staff have a decent place to work and guests won't feel like they've died upon arrival.

When I phoned back I was told there was an incoming order, I explained they should not cut me off phone as I was still important. So rude. They don’t even show full delivery charges on their menu, only upto a 3 mile radius. Any further you get shocked at charge when you order. Please Think twice before using this Takeaway for Chinese food.

I was wrong, shops closed. Postman's came to the rescue!! 2 minutes later we had ordered 5 roast dinners for pick up at 12 as they had a 10% discount code.
