We enjoyed an excellent Sunday roast, beautifully presented and utterly delicious. Lots of extra touches, such as lovely napkins, cutlery shining clean and this added to an exceptional culinary experience. Added to this, staff were lovely … service with a smile, and they went out of their way to provide a gluten free Yorkshire pudding which was made by chef, and was delicious. We were met by a pleasant young man who showed us to our table. The food was really well cooked and flavoursome, and the yorkshire puddings were really tasty, light and fluffy. We had deserts and coffee, all of which were of a good standard. The background music was an ideal volume, not like in some venues where you can't hear yourself speak. Service was good throughout and the two young women there were friendly and obliging. We hope to call again whilst we are here, and will definitely be recommending to friends and family to visit when they are in the area. Thanks once again for a lovely meal :)

We ordered drinks and sat outside for a short while until the restaurant opened at 5:30. We went in at 5:30 and already the room was filling up. The service was fantastic, the staff were fantastic and the food was fantastic. My husband had the fish and sweetcorn soup to start with, then the fish Thai curry. I had the rib eye steak. The food was outstanding, served hot on hot dishes. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. Would highly recommend and would visit again next time we come over to Hunstanton (it's a long way from Stockport!)

The changes made by the Chestnut group have been positive. Food was never served on Mondays and Tuesdays and it now is. The staff are excellent and hugely helpful. A great menu and you won’t beat the breakfast, black pudding to die for. Whilst these guys keep doing what they’re doing, they’ll continue to have us as customers. All the place needs to be perfect for the cyclist is a specific safe storage area. TBF they do try and help with this but now and again when they’ve a few cyclists in the space can be lacking a little. Still great though, 9.5/10

We opted for the daily pie, this came with mash and cabbage, presented beautifully! Our young puppy was made to feel really welcome and was spoilt by all the staff - they made such a fuss of him. We had a wonderful stay. Friendly and welcoming staff and both the evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The heritage tomato and goats cheese salad was a particular highlight for me. So fresh and tasty with perfect focaccia! The room was beautifully designed with a very comfortable bed and so many thoughtful touches. Homemade cookies, complimentary g&t. Ringstead is a lovely peaceful place and the outer areas of the pub were great. Lots of choice for relaxation. I really was very sad to leave. Highly recommend for a great night away.

I really don’t understand as the Yorkshire pudding was lovely. The tea spoon of an orange and beige paste did nothing for the dish. Everything on the plate was unfortunately lukewarm. We could have mentioned it to the server but we had little to no interaction with any of the servers. We did ask to see the dessert menu for it not to appear so we decided to leave. This was a real shame as it could have been so much better with very little effort. We hate to complain at the table as other guests was around and didn’t want to make a scene and we wasn’t looking for a discount but it really wasn’t worth the £75.00.

As with any set menu they can be hit & miss when it comes to personal choice and creating a menu that is to everyone’s taste is always difficult but we enjoyed 90% of the dishes here. As they are booked up well in advance, I emailed and asked to be put on their wait list for a cancellation. We sat outside and went in three times to ask for someone to take our order before a grumpy young lady finally came out. As we then waited so long for food we decided to move inside upstairs, all the tables were absolutely filthy. The food was then bought up but we couldbt sit because everything was dirty so we asked for the tables to be cleaned. Instead of the waitress cleaning tables she came back with more food that we had nowhere to put as all tables still dirty. Food was hit and miss. The kids really liked the cheese and ham toasties. The tuna baguette was just ok. But the fried breakfast was a disgrace. We didn't even know what the sausage was until we cut into it. Picture attached. When we went to settle the bill at the counter and we're asked how was it? We said "not great to be honest" to which the lady replied "sorry about that, that's £59.65 please tap there to pay". The whole experience became a bit of a joke to be honest we had to laugh about it. The cafe wasn't even very busy, so it's just badly run with staff who make customers feel like an inconvenience.

For me, a quick decision, full English! Kids and wife takes longer to decide, thankfully Beccas kitchen allowed the kids just to pick what they wanted as extras so they could have exactly what they were after. It's not massive inside, but was comfortable with a few tables available. It was about half full the whole time we were there. Food was nice and cooked well. If I was being picky, the tables were a bit stained from use in places (Not badly, just to the point where I noticed it!) If you can get one of the tables near the window then you can watch the world go round - as well as a view over the green and sea!

It was clean and tidy and staff were very efficient at getting tables cleared and cleaned over a busy lunch service. It’s a fairly small place but the tables are not on top of each other and the acoustics are good so you can chat comfortably without hearing the neighbouring tables. Menu was perfect for lunch. Standard toasties and baguettes and some fresh hot meals too. Also a perfect kids menu with my daughter’s favourite chicken nuggets, chips and beans!!! I had the bacon, Brie and cranberry granary baguette which was delicious. Served with a side salad and a few crisps. The baguette was lovely and soft too, not one that scratches the roof of your mouth! My Mum had a toastie and was equally pleased. We had some tea and coffee and ‘babycino’ and these were very reasonably priced too for a coffee out. A warm baguette and a coffee for less than a tenner. PERFECT! I have to also mention how fast the service was. So they’re doing a great job and clearly know what they’re doing. Looking forward to going back and sampling more of the menu. The cakes looked delicious. They do pensioners meals too so my Mum is going to go and sample some of the hot menu. Honestly, a great find. A really great place to eat.

Hubby had tea and Victoria Sponge which he said was delicious. He even praised the tea which is unusual for him as tea is not usually served to his liking at other places. Bland pub food which is overpriced, compared to many of the other places to eat in the local area. Where it was went wrong was the service. We paid for all food and drinks at the bar and were charged a 10% discretionary service charge. Had we have known how awful the service was we would not have paid it. Staff at the bar appeared uninterested, spent most of the time chatting to each other and did not know what was available on the menu. Our food order was wrong and after some awkward shuffling and mumbling from the wait staff the correct meal arrived but without an apology. After the meal no one cleared our plates and we had to move them to another table, the restaurant and bar were not busy. After some time a different wait staff member was sent to clean the dirty plates away. We could hear them moaning to themselves about clearing the plates from where we sitting. I would avoid this establishment and go somewhere where you are met with a warm welcome. Where the staff know the menu and know how to treat customers spending their hard earned cash.

From the initial greeting, to being shown to our room, our comfortable stay, sumptuous breakfast and checkout - it was fantastic! Easy to find (on the High Street of this cosy village), within sight of the sea... plenty of parking, modern yet with plenty of history. We stayed in The Boot Room which is a large ground floor property with plenty of space, and beautifully clean and appointed. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of room to spread out. Our waiter was super friendly and went above and beyond. Drinks came quickly and the non alcoholic cocktail was delicious. Food can and it was outstanding! We visited mid-week at lunchtime and ordered the king prawns and the pork t-bone both of which were incredible. Sides are ordered separately which can be standard, but can be quite expensive for a meal. Our mains plus 2 sides, wine and 2 half pints was £80 which is a bit spenny for lunch but a nice treat. I marked food as a 4 star as even though it’s incredible the menu is missing a lighter lunch option to go alongside the smaller plate starts but would recommend and would definitely return - probably in the evening.

Staff were really polite and friendly and my wife and I were seen too within 5 minutes of taking our seats, we both had the Roast Beef Sunday roast with all the trimmings and the food was amazing, good size and really tasty. We ordered two Sunday roasts which unfortunately were only just luke warm when they came. I sent mine back but the 2nd roast was exactly the same. Despite asking twice to speak to a manager I had to get up and go and find one as the waitress said she was discussing it with the chef. My partner also asked if for £22.50 you only get one small slice of beef / not even a thick slice.
