We searched the web and settled on the lock and barrel. The menu looked great with a lot of choice and good prices. We rang up and booked a table. When we arrived we were given a totally different menu with limited choice and vastly increased pricing. When we asked we were told that the venue had changed hands the week before and that this was now the menu. So we ordered as we didn't have time to find anywhere else. The food arrived in good time but we had to send the burger back as it was not as we ordered. Also the chicken and bacon salad went back as it looked like it had been through a food blender. First, the waiter somehow forgot that we ordered starters. We've waited for an hour and only after asking again they realized they forgot us. Looking for somewhere to eat and came across Harbour Lights Seafood Restaurant and booked a table. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. For starters we had oysters, along with squid and prawns. When we went to Oban earlier in the year this is what I was expecting but left feeling deflated as none of the restaurants we visited had a seafood menu anywhere close to this. Highly recommend

Was way bussier than expected, so recommend to reserve in advance. Everything was top noch and showed care and consideration. The restaurant is very well situated, with beautiful marine views, super tidy inside and out, comfortable sitting, professional and friendly service, good quality fresh seafood, and reasonable prices. Had native and rock oysters for starters together with seafood platter for two. For mains, we had lobster with salad and chips and cajun salmon. Lobster and native oysters were my favourite and one of the best I've had. Would recommend to any seafood lover with confidence.

Portion sizes are large with a selection of pub favourites mixed with curry and fajita options. The beef fajitas was enough for two people, delivered sizzling to the table with two wraps.
