I got the scallop risotto and while the scallops were perfectly cooked and seasoned, the risotto underneath (which was a big bulk of the meal) was so salty it was pretty much inedible. My boyfriend got the Marlin and was very disappointed in the texture (overcooked/dry and fibrous, almost like a canned tuna) as well as his fish being over salted as well. Overall, it is clear there are servers that love their job here and carry the experience, but if the quality in the entrees does not improve I would unfortunately not recommend a visit.

For lunch, sliders with truffle fries, which were satisfying and a delicious pairing. And for dinner (in which we had 2 dinners), I had a steak dinner that was cooked to perfection (of my liking) and my lady had a lobster gnocchi with big servings of lobster. I want to give a shot out to the exceptional service of Noah at Red Salt. I’ve been to countless restaurants but he has to be the most hospitable , meticilous, and courteous professional that I have EVER met to tie in the dining experience. Noah provided great recommendations and you can tell he takes great pride in his craft and loves what he does. We flew in from HNL and got in around 2030 hours so was looking for a quick spot to eat. Found this place was open until 2130 hours so quickly headed to it from the airport which was a 5min. drive. When you walk through their screen door, right away I get mom and pop shop kine feels. Super laid back, local, NO a/c so when we came in at night, i'm assuming that was cool for what it usually can be. It's open air jealousy windows. You don't have to check in at front, you just find an open spot on their counters where small brown stools are provided for you to sit on. The counters have all the amenities needed for this saimin shop. Once you take a seat, a server will come over and give you menus to start looking. They offer fountain drinks and can sodas as well. The server came took our orders and within 15min started to bring our food out to us. The broth was hot but not piping hot. The skewers were flavorful however a little on the tougher side and not as moist as I would have thought. Still very good. I ordered a medium saimin, 2 beef and 1 chicken skewer and that filled me up just right. Came out to $20.75. ( I only had water)) The bathroom is a single for all to use and was clean. Since it is open air and windows are open as well there was not a strong smell. The building is smaller and gives plantation home vibes. Cute spot for some ono saimin. Perhaps just the time of year but if you are dying to go here and can’t get a reservation, arrive early for a walk in at 5pm and dinner seems very likely with that strategy. I wasn't expecting much, but it was awesome. Guy at the counter was super helpful and recommended the beef ramen, which honestly was so much meat I ended up giving some to my SO. The egg was cooked perfectly, though, with a nice runny yolk. My spicy beef Ramen was superb, but the true winner was the gyozas. Those got eaten so fast that I didn't have a chance for a picture. Clearly made fresh and a great texture, with a flavorful filling. And they had plenty of sauces and spices to add if you weren't happy, including fried garlic! Wish I lived on this island so I could visit again. Highly recommend for a fast, quick, and tasty meal.

The service was good and the wait time for food was okay. At this price point you must hire a better chef and make food fresh or the customers will stop coming.
