Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Some of the food was really tasty, other parts were undercooked and lacking flavour. All the items on the menu sound delicious but the execution was lacking on most. It felt as though the dishes were being executed by someone who hadn’t come up with them or had lost passion (maybe there’s a change of ownership or chef?) The food also took an hour to come out, and no updates were given until prompted. Instead of apologising, she simply said that the food takes a while and that they only had one chef. We were a big group, but we had booked well in advance. When they added a service charge at the end, and we politely questioned it, the waitress made the table uncomfortable and made the same excuse. We simply paid up in full so we could leave. A few small touches of hospitality would have helped smooth out an otherwise uneven experience. E.g. simple things like: more of a welcome/some information about the place on arrival, updates about delays, checking if we needed more drinks whilst we wait, asking whose birthday it was etc.

My son and I were in town yesterday, so we gave it a go. The decor is gorgeous and the vibe of the place is lovely, feels so warm and welcoming. We weren't madly hungry so we had a few things to share. The garlic pizza bread was amazing - so soft and fluffy, and the basil oil drizzled over it was a really nice, flavourful touch. But I was served a scone that was so stale that I literally struggled to get my knife through it. God knows how long it had been hanging around the kitchen. Ate a couple of mouthfuls, but gave up, fearing for my teeth. The service was pleasant enough, but very slow, and the place wasn't at all busy - only two other customers in there. I'll definitely give it another go though: worth it just for that gorgeous garlic bread.

Was seated immediately and talked through the menu by the friendly waitress. The menu is very varied with a decent selection of different Indian dishes. You order both drinks and food at the bar. A hidden restaurant underground between subway. Didn’t realise it’s a full vegetarian Indian restaurant. Ordered one of each that was recommended from the Bundo menu. I had the BUNDO CHAAT £6.75 - loved this, however it was just samosa pastry with sauces and chickpeas. PANEER TIKKA £8.50 - loved this, cheese and veg grilled skewers,. PANEER KADAI £8.50 - cheese in tomato curry sauce, it was so overpriced, but it came with a bread, it was far too spicy without any warning, so had to leave this dish. It’s around £6-8 per dish, a side and a drink. My order total came to £37 😭 it was definitely far more than I expected to spend on such small dishes. Overall, I felt it was really overpriced as there was was no meat in the dishes and portion size was small. It did taste good, so Maybe would be favourable for the veggies, but I did feel it was not worth it. Especially when I had ordered quite a bit and staff didn’t advise that it came with a bread. No additional carbs was required, a lot went to waste. Atmosphere was great, quiet with some music in background. Great for catch ups.

Would recommend. Wife loved it. The prices are fair for the food but drinks and hidden extras are overpriced. I marked it down a star for this reason and this would probably put me off visiting again. Staff were nice and friendly. My feedback to the restaurant would be: the drink prices, £3.50 for a 200ml bottle of coke is unfair. The sizes are not listed on the menu so you don't know until it arrives, to me it seems overpriced and dishonest to charge so much for a drink for such a small serving (especially when you don't list the size), as we got 2, it essentially cost us £7 for less than a pint of coke which is one of the highest markups I've seen in a restaurant. The "discretionary" service charge which you have to ask to remove (which is embarrassing) if you don't want to pay it (I just paid it), then been asked to leave a tip (a service charge and a tip, are they not the same thing), and then being charged a service fee (and saying its so we can offer a seamless paying experience) for using a card but you don't accept cash. I was super excited to go because of the rave reviews but to be honest, I left feeling disappointed. To start, when we entered the restaurant there was a weird & unpleasant smell, kind of like a smelly toilet? I can’t describe it but it wasn’t nice. When we were seated, we were put on a table in the corner right by the toilets and kitchen, which wasn’t nicely lit with candles like the other tables and the bright kitchen light behind us was distracting. We decided to order starters first before choosing our mains. The starters came out in decent time, but we received only one correct item. Because we had been eyeing up the meatballs anyway (which we received but hadn’t ordered) we decided to just eat them anyway and they were decent. The olives were good, the bread a bit chewy but that’s just my personal preference I suppose. The oil and balsamic was good. When our mains arrived, I instantly noticed that my partner’s plate was steaming with the heat of the dish, whilst mine was not. I mixed the pasta around, had a taste, and to my great disappointment it was lukewarm. My partner’s was a good temperature though. To add to that, my dish was frankly awful (the carbonara). I was only able to eat 1/4 of the dish because it was that bad. I don’t think it helped that it was barely hot. The sauce was a mess palette-wise and the pasta was so chewy it was sticking to my teeth. In saying that though, my partner enjoyed his seafood dish and upon trying mine said ‘it’s not great but it’s not awful’. Service was good from a lady with black hair (I think) and long nails. She was very friendly and personable. The rest of the staff were meh but having worked in hospitality myself I can’t fault them too much. Oh also the bathroom was dirty, which is a big no no for me! All in all, I left disappointed and hungry. Whilst there were certainly positives, this place just didn’t deliver in enough ways to warrant a return visit.

The food wasn't bad, but neither was it particularly great. The burgers I think in particular could be much better - the 'beef' patties just don't match up to the many good vegan beef burger alternatives available today - thin and a bit dry. Please, consider getting an automatic closer on the door and maybe some separation of the area for delivery drivers - I think there would be enough space given all other tables were empty on a Saturday night.

When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city. My go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings. For drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty. The pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice. Due to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group. Overall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. The place is too big. We had Butter chicken(Chicken Ruby), Dal makhani and Mattar Paneer out of which I liked Chicken Ruby and Mattar Paneer the most. Dal Makhani was okayish. Prices were also decent. Service and food quality was too notch. A wonderful experience for Indians with perfect blend of Indian spices and aroma with perfect vibe of vintage Bollywood style.

I have eaten here before and the pizza has been spot on but unfortunately this time I am left disappointed and rather sticky. I didn't manage to finish it because the amount of BBQ sauce made me feel unwell - super sickly. Cocktails need attention, I hardly ever send drinks back but I just couldn't drink it. Food is good, I did expect better but I think with a few tweaks and some nicer plates and decor they could do really well. The dishes are small portion and good for sharing, the rice and bread are ordered separately. The food are nice, we ordered butter chicken, sticky chicken and angry bird, all of them are nice. We also got the Roti breads and rice, the rice is fine but personally I think the bread is not very special, so won't order it next time. The atmosphere and decoration are good, but there's plenty of beautiful restaurants in Manchester, so I won't say the atmosphere is particularly outstanding. The service is nice, everyone is very welcoming and kind. It’s been the restaurant of choice for a few momentous occasions, we love the architecture, the vibe and the food. We had family in town and decided to share our ‘happy spot’. We were shown to our table straight away and settled in. The menu has changed but it’s still a collection of small and large plates good for sharing or as a main with a side dish. Sadly I don’t think our waitress was ‘in the mood’ to work that evening… We had a few allergies within our group that needed some discussion, she clearly didn’t know the menu and seemed to be busy in her head with other things than the job at hand… We wanted to venture down the wine list but again there was no advice or knowledge. The food was delicious and side dishes abundant as usual but the lack of service continued, we had to find and even cajole our server every time we wanted to order additional items. The service was ok but considering how quiet the restaurant was we had to wait quite a while to order food, once ordered it came quickly they also did not add all we had ordered so there was a few things missing but to be honest we would have orders too much if we had got it all. We orders cocktails at the end of the meal which were pretty disappointing, that’s the second time in a row where that has been the case now and expected it to be a blip last time. The room was just out of this world. Spacious, very clean and had an industrial vibe. All amenities catered for every need possible. The toiletries were gorgeous (and yes there is a hairdryer too). But after the food arrived and tasting this I would rate them 1 out of 5. The palak paneer was tasteless with a lot of Garam Masala. They need to pipe down on this and make sure people can taste other spices aswell. The chilli paneer was bland and a bit chewy. Garlic naan was a bit burnt but could have passed if other dishes were up to standard. I am a vegetarian but my husband is not and even he loves it here! We’ve visited 3 times now and we live just over an hour away but it’s absolutely worth the drive. I highly recommend the babycorn Manchurian for starter it’s so sticky and absolutely packed with flavour, yes it’s spicy and packs a punch but I could eat it all day long lol! For mains I had the paneer malai kofta, the star anise sauce they use for this dish is literally out of this world! It’s incredible and I find myself not wanting it to end! Sweet, creamy but with a nice little kick and tons of flavour. My husband has the paneer lababdar and this was also amazing with an incredibly flavourful sauce. The family sized naan bread was huge and very well made. The pilau rice was beautiful and very authentic, not packed with tacky yellow food colouring and it had a lovely texture to it. Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian, I highly recommend you try this place you will not be disappointed! My new favourite place to spend date-night lol.

On the positive side, the drinks were honestly amazing and came out very quickly. It was a bit quieter today and service was better, however, we asked for a couple of plates of tapas to come out first but all the food came out together. I’ve contacted the police about both the assault that happened to me and the reaction of the bar owner. Ive been informed by the police that your cctv will be seized. First time eating here and I have to agree with other reviews. The staff are not welcoming and friendly at all…they seem more inconvenienced than anything. Waited nearly an hour for 2 meals (1 breakfast and 1 Avacado on toast) food came and it was freezing cold. The bread wasn’t toasted at all and because of it being cold the butter didn’t melt. The breakfast was way over cooked and cold (not sure how they managed that) napkins were damp. When we complained there was no apologies or acknowledgment. I did ask about an ingredients list with regards to the non vegan options and was told they don't have one. I wasn't expecting them to, but it would have been nice. Regardless, the Coffee Donut was very appetising. The Iced Latte that helped wash it down was also very good. I've knocked down one star due to the fact that the indoor seating area isn't very welcoming, featuring fairly uncomfortable and weird looking seating. They do have an outdoor seating area which is a lot nicer. Prices are very high for what you get and they have the gall to ask for tips when you're paying an already steep price. Tips should be based on the overall service, not before you've even tried the food.
