I just bought $37.40 worth of food to be delivered by Uber Eats. Ordered Feijoada bowl, my entire bowl has maybe 10 black beans? This chain was new to us, but the young guy couldn't actually answer any questions. Luckily, another older staff member stepped in and answered questions and made suggestions.
Very tasty bowls and salads with multiple options. Great place for an easy, healthy meal.

How is this place rated so high? I've tried it a few times over the last couple years, hoping each time that the last experience was a fluke. No such luck. Each time, it's a bland bowl of flavorless rice, with a few black beans, a COUPLE shreds of meat, and some tiny amounts of whatever "sides" and sauces they allow you to get (and I ordered everything I was able to get for the base price). Came here because I saw it on so many "must eat lists" for Montana. The food was good. But my experience around getting the food was not great. I first tried to go to the location on Reserve to find it closed at 7:00 pm. Since I was only here for 1 more day, I didn't want to pass up the chance to eat here. When I finally got to this store around 7:50 pm, they were out of all rice and it was going to be a 20 minute wait for more. Closing time is 9:00 PM. Several other people left because of this, but like I said, I was already here so I had a bowl made with greens. There were flies buzzing around the register and self serve fountain. They were out of rice. Bottom line here is that the food was good, even though what I got was pretty much the only option. Everything was flavorful. Not sure I will be back if I'm in town again. It was a lot of effort for a mediocre experience but tasty food. They did the best they could that evening.

Delicious! I normally vacation to great falls but the great falls location is awful. Skimpy servings no flavor or just totally wrong orders so when I stopped here in missoula, I saw them making this and I knew it was going to be delicious. Didn't disappoint and actually super filling BUT there was hardly any meat in it so I mostly got full off of rice.

Just got some take out from this restaurant. The food itself was not all bad. I got the single split curry (butter chicken & Chana masala). The butter chicken was pretty good(however, I wish it had more spice), and the chickpeas in the Chana masala were a bit too crunchy. The raita was lacking in flavor and tasted like plain yogurt but the kachumber chutney paired well with the curries.
While the food was pretty good, the service was not. When I walked up to order the lady came over to me and I told her I wanted to look over the menu. She ignored me and just walked away. Then a guy comes over and stares at me so I tell him the same thing. When I started to order, I’m still a little slow and pronouncing things incorrectly (this is my first time here) the guy seemed visibly annoyed as he was packing my food in the box. Maybe they should try to be more friendly and approachable to their customers.
I got way better food and service at Himalayan Kitchen in Kalispell.

My wife and I were in town for a show and really wanted to eat here, but were not sure if we'd have enough time. We were both pleased and amazed at the speed and quality of service. The staff was friendly and helpful with getting our food picked out, dished it up right in front of us and even had additional add on options in the hot case. The food was tasty and portion sizes generous. We both left satisfied to slightly full and even had a leftovers go box that provided me a late night snack and lunch the next day. Only reason the 4 stars on the atmosphere was how hot it was in there. But at the end of the day with the way they invest in the quality of their food, I don’t care if they’re saving a few bucks on the power bill. Just wish they didn’t feel the need.

There are definitely more expensive places in the area so I’m not sure what others are complaining about. I paid $12 for my decently large sandwich, I got the Hot Hippie but substituted the cashew butter for the pesto. Definitely worth the stop, it was SO good. Best sandwich I’ve had in a while! Lots of sides to choose from and great cafe selections. If you think $12 for a sandwich or $9 for a burrito is expensive, maybe stay in Montana. Your mind would be blown by costs in other states.

While the breakfast burritos are good, they really aren’t good enough for a consistent 20-30 minute wait, every time, regardless of a line. While in today, there was no line and no one waiting for food- yet they still said it would be a 20 min wait. If you are mindful of /tight on time, this isn’t the place to go and there are plenty of great options downtown with more efficient service. If you have nowhere to be, they are good.

Came for their breakfast burritos and they were solid. Great price, flavor, and service. I got their veggie burrito and I’d definitely get it again. It was perfectly filled too, so it wasn’t super messy! I also recommend their spiced chia over their vanilla chia. It’s still sweetened but better flavor. They have a nice amount of options but it’s not too much to decrease in quality. Overall, recommend!

We stopped in during our visit to Glacier National Park(GNP)on our way to/from GNP.
The restaurant is surrounded by plenty of off street parking right downtown Missoula. We had the Cowboy Pepper Burger and the Sirloin French Dip. Both meals were very delicious and full of flavor and we opted for the Tatar Tots as our side which was also delicious. We also had several draft beers which was very refreshing.
They have a casual atmosphere with plenty of seating. We opted for their outdoor seating which was nice and sunny. Our food was served very quickly and our waitresses was nice and friendly. Overall we had a great dinning experience.

The waitress was okay nice, not very friendly. She only came when we didn't need her. We waited forever to order, forever for the check and then she never came back for the credit card when she saw us put it there as soon as she gave us the check. Wow... this place was so good. I was sad I went here on my last day in Missoula because I definitely would have gone back, maybe multiple times. I got the Cure which is a simple turkey sandwich. It was packed with flavor and the quality of the meat was so good. My friend got the Sublime, and she really enjoyed it. The bread was delicious and the perfect texture. It wasn't too crisp, but it also didn't get soggy. Really great price for a huge, delicious sandwich.

Freaking amazeballs! The ingredients are all top notch, the bread is perfectly balanced between chewy with a crispy exterior but it doesn't destroy the roof of your mouth like a bowl of Captain Crunch. It was really really great! Probably one of the top 3 sandwiches I have ever had and that list includes Katz Deli in NYC. The walnut pesto and spicy garlic aioli are out of this world good. I only snagged one picture of the food (The Beach Boys) because I devoured mine like ferocious lion on the Serengeti...or like the fat guy I am with a delicious Tagliare sandwich! I visited July 2025. And dang, I was super excited to try Veera for the first time, but so disappointed. We got the maple donut - which was good. The Ding Dong donut was very dry. The pop tart and the old fashioned blueberry were both underbaked and doughy. So disappointing. Donuts need to be baked well and they did not come through on this. Hopefully this was a one off. I prefer to drive from Corvallis when I have a craving for donuts or yummy food. They never disappoint, they're sweet treats and other foods are literally so good. I personally would have never knew it was all vegan, they even have gluten free options for their donuts too! Also everything is dairy free unless you specifically ask for cream cheese/ cheese toppings. My boyfriend has a severe dairy allergy and this place was great to stop at along our road trip! Stopped on the way through on a trip, such good and healthy food that we stopped again on the way back home! Great salads, acai bowls and interesting waffles. We got a waffle with cream cheese, salmon and micro greens, as well as a salmon Ceasars salad. Their green smoothies are one of the best I've ever tasted. I really wanted to love this place but I just can't. I will preface my review by saying that I do not have any type of diet which this place seems to cater too (like gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, ect). Not that this is a negative but the food may be put at a disadvantage due to it. My dish was the "Influencer" waffle which was frankly the worst waffle I've ever had (the waffle itself not the dish). The waffle was gluten free, extremely dry, had very little flavor, and was overly dense. The creme cheese has little flavor, the salmon felt a little like the canned salmon I get from Costco (which I comment on as it's different from the more curred salmon I get on similar dishes), and the greens on top felt a little pointless with near no flavor. It's a classic combination that was poorly executed. The smoothie was pretty decent, I enjoyed the creative combinations they had. My SI had the Budda bowl and it was of similar quality to my waffle. The produce was fresh but the dish was very bland and felt dry. Maybe the smoothie bowls are where it's at but I don't know. I don't think I would come back, and to be honest I feel like if I was gluten free or vegan (as I don't hate either) I would go to veera one door down, the best doughnuts and burrito (666 -the name of the burrito) I've had.

I've been here twic for smoothies and. BOth times I did not find them enjoyable. The first one just didn't taste so good. We stopped here on our way to Sandpoint ID because it looked like clean eating and a cool atmosphere and we LOVED it. Really chill and sweet employees, amazing food (we loved the savory waffle with salmon and we added avocado to it- enough for two people, we shared it with our 3 yo and she loved it too). It was a crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside waffle and there was ample cream cheese, salmon, and avo on it- there was no skimping on the toppings. and then we got a blue spirulina, mango, banana, and coconut cream smoothie and dang it was just so good. I also got the matcha latte and added honey at their coffee bar area and then a latte to go. They have little natural local products as well, salad bowls and smoothies to-go, and wellness shots at the fridge near the checkout. Also some merch, flower bundles, and mason jars with wooden lids and metal straws for sale. The seating is wooden and the benches have little Moroccan style pillows. Best Eggs Benedict in Missoula! This is the place. I have searched for really good eggs benedict everytime I come to Missoula. I finally found it. Scottys table locally sources their ingredients and meats. The atmosphere is upscale and feels grand from a bygone era. We made a reservation before coming and had no wait to be seated. My husband and I have been traveling for a month and Scotty's Table is hands down our favorite eating experience so far. It is located in a historic building along the riverfront. My husband's pork chop pictured and my Chicken Souvlaki were outstanding. The bread served with herb butter was so good I could have made a meal on just that! We topped off the meal with lemon cheesecake with blueberry compote and whipped cream that I would also highly recommend. Best cheesecake I've ever had with a crunchy crisp graham cracker crust. The icing on the cake was the good service. We went to Scotty's two weeks ago and I wrote asking for a picture of my meal and sure enough Jenna a server, took the time to send a picture to me. We love the Mustard Seed! It is another one of our favorites. Their happy hour menu has delicious options. Something for everyone. A great way to taste several options and relax. Their happy hours run 3-6 and 8-10 in the bar area only. Favorites on the happy hour menu are; cold Chinese Roast Pork, California rolls - and Asian Glazed Pork Ribs. Their green beans off the appetizer menu go well with the happy hour options. We’ve tried everything off their dessert menu and love them all, but consistently return to the huckleberry mousse pie. If you’re on vacation and want to try huckleberries- this is the perfect dessert - and worth the trip! It has an oreo crust, chocolate and huckleberry mousses, whipped cream on top, and both chocolate and huckleberry sauces to drizzle over the top. The huckleberry sauce has actual huckleberries in it!
Tonight we were there for my kiddos new favorite, the sweet and sour chicken. Their signature Osaka is my all time favorite - paired with ginger dressing on the salad.
Their chefs and kitchen staff are top notch. In decades of enjoying the Mustard Seed, I have not experienced a meal over or undercooked - and they crank out beautiful plates of food at a fast/steady clip depending on the hour and how busy they are. Your food should consistently arrive just about when you finish your appetizers/salad.
Their salads are sooo good. The veggies are consistently fresh and crisp - and they add bits of romaine lettuce to their greens, which add a fun extra texture.
The front of house staff and bartenders are quick and professional. They consistently get your waters to you right away, then drinks, appetizers, dinner, dessert in the correct order, and check back the right amount. They also pre-bus their tables as would be expected.
Details in their lighting add to the overall experience. There are features in their lighting that may be overlooked while enjoying your meal, but add to a calming and positive atmosphere. Such as one light in a large glass ball. Please see for yourself. While it’s impossible to capture the feel of a place in a picture, it is possible to see the beauty. Kudos to the lightning designer. Their manager helped take pictures.
There are two outdoor terraces. Great places to enjoy your meal in the summertime. Both are pictured. One is sidewalk level. The other is upstairs.

I had a similar experience as the egg roll people. The waitress was horrendous! She said she would be busy doing other chores and to flail my arms up and down if I wanted service. And never did she smile. We were definitely an inconvenience for her. We didn’t even know it was happy hour until we received our bill. I picked up a to go order - California rolls and spicy Carmel chicken . They put the hot food in with the California rolls so they were warm, also tasted off only ate 1 threw the other 3 away. The chicken was either overcooked or, it didn’t appear to be but the chicken inside was hard, like can’t bite it in half hard, or cut with a knife , Maybe had 2-3 pieces that were edible. I’ve been a customer for 25+ years and in the last 3-4 years, it is so hit and miss on food quality , and customer service . Everything was okay. Our waitress was great, very accommodating; they were exceptionally busy this night. We have been coming here since I was little, early 2000’s… I have been disappointed every-time I have visited since the move.
Tonight was a different level. My mother and I ordered the same dish; Thai Chicken Caesar. She asked for her sauce on the side, I wanted mine mixed. This is the outcome. TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DISHES. Mine barely had chicken, barely any croutons. The sauce was only in half the lettuce, I mixed (wasn’t a problem, enjoyed that part.) but the lack of communication from the kitchen, and to think that it is okay to serve the same dishes when they look absolutely different.
Once again disappointed in the food. The service has always been great.

Bernice’s Bakery is a charming little gem nestled in the heart of Missoula. When I say it’s straight out of a picture book, I mean it! From the moment you walk in, it smells absolutely heavenly. Their baked goods are truly the best, and their soups, salads, and espresso drinks are always delicious.
Their cakes are hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Bernice’s Bakery is one of those special small businesses that makes Missoula feel like home, tucked right next to the beautiful Clark Fork River.

I have enjoyed Bernice's Bakery my whole life, so when I got my last sugar cookie it was pretty disappointing.
I understand the price going up with the costof eggs and everything, but to reduce the size so much it changes the flavor on top of that is stingy.
The cookies are now, including the frosting, just a little thicker than two quarters. I weigh out my food to count my calories, this is a common treat I have it memorized. Usually I eat half at a time, now I can have a little more than 3/4th.
As a comunity, we shouldn't behave like the big corporations. I would gladly pay a little more, but pick one or the other.
This cookie tastes like flour, (so it won't break being so thin I'm sure) it's just not the same.
Why not make them the same as before, sell them for $4?? It would be terrible to lose the last nice sugar cookies. I send these to people as a fancy gift, people expect them.

My husband and I have been enjoying going to Bernice’s on the weekend, usually Sunday’s. We keep coming back because we receive good service and excellent coffee. However, this last experience was bad enough that I feel compelled to say something.
We first greeted with “who’s next?” From the gal at the cash register. Her tone was not friendly. We submitted our orders - 2 Lattes. We cleaned our table and sat down. The wait was long, but finally, our order showed up. The wait was long and my husband’s latte was extremely bitter. I went to purchase him another, to make up for the burned one. Finally got around to eating here and I was underwhelmed by the flavors. Nothing really jumped out as an amazing flavor. The food, like Burns St Bistro, is locally sourced, which was cool. The vibe of the place and people were nice. Still, we would have spent $30 for a sandwich, a small quesadilla, chips with salsa and small cup of guacamole & a veggie tamale. The best among them was the salsa and chips. Everything else wasn't memorable. I'm giving it a 3-star rating because I appreciate they locally source food and hope some of the meat items might have been better.

Seven Chile pork tamale was unique. The masa had a good flavor and consistency. Pork was pretty good. I could gave done without the garnish as it took away from the yummy masa flavor. It could have used more chillies too because the spice factor was nonexistent. (Bonus points for the Piña Habanero sauce in a bottle) Also charging for chips and salsa seems to be a thing 'round these parts so don't expect any freebies. Overall the food is good but you pay similar prices to a Rick Bayless restaurant. And a Rick Bayless restaurant this is not. (Look up Topolobampo) There's some charm in the homemade tortillas and locally sourced ingredients however it's best to remember you're in Montana when trying this Mexican food.

Yesterday my husband and I had lunch here for the first time. We thought the quality was good, better than most places, and the flavors were good... not exceptional, but again better than most other places. The main reason we will not be back is because they charge entree prices for a tapas size portion. My husband left hungry... and when you pay $22.00 for 2 people, you don't want to leave hungry. My husband got the chicken mole tamale with beans, which was really small. My husband gave it a 5 out of 10 on flavor. I got the chicken quarter with slaw and beans and 2 tortillas, which was a decent size entree. I gave it a 7 out of 10 on flavor. My husband left hungry and had to go to the good food store and get pizza afterward.
