We went for breakfast at 11:45 but were surrounded by lunch menus all slightly different in the options and sides and flavours. Everything was batch cooked in silver metal trays, they had even pre cooked the rarebit ready to be warmed up. The interior part is pretty much the same like it used to be but the garden around is the big asset of the place now. You get this refreshing feeling. The menu has it's own style, it's not the typical British pub food therefore it is highly recommended to check the menu through their website (or photos provided in this review) before you visit the place. I am afraid there are limited dish choices and even more limited food selections for kids. The food overall is pricey but this is in accordance with the trend now days in Oxfordshire with all these gastro/special pubs. You feel fornthe small businesses that has jus topped this year then forced to close. The independents need your support. The owner studied baking techniques in Asia and it shows with match rolls and Japenese cheesecake on offer. But apart from the name which made me curious along with my partner and friends the baked goods OMG! Cantonese delights pineapple buns, lunch bun (spam and egg), roast pork char siu bun, hot dog bun to name a few we tried. The Asian bread is lighter and sweeter but oh so well made. Its a lovely building and feels clean and safe covid aware. Good coffee too. May not appeal unless you tried these treats before but if curious try them.

We've known and admired Tap Social for many years and jumped at the chance to visit the brewery - despite the £20 odd each way taxi fares from Oxford. We arrived at 2.30pm and stumbled upon what appeared to be a mother and toddler quiz, quite inappropriate for a brewery, and were told we couldn't have most of the beers because the staff were running behind but we could have one if we went and sat upstairs until they were ready. When we finished our drinks the staff were even more objectionable about serving us another because they still weren't ready! (Really - what else we were meant to do on an industrial estate on a Saturday, sandwiched between major roads and miles from anywhere is beyond me). Eventually the Oktoberfest was ready and we managed to get a can of their special beer but when we asked whether they were going to put on Oktoberfest music to complement their decorations and costumes - we were told they would when they were ready. This was the cue to leave. Don’t waste your hard earned cash visiting here from Oxford. If you want Tap Social, go to the covered market where the staff are at least more welcoming.

Great staff, great variety of products and lovely sitting area with heatings from the top. I love the outside seating and it is so lovely with a lot of nature! Hot chocolate was lovely and having sitting in drinks in their lovely cups was lovely.
