Their menu is seems small which usually indicates quality. If you don't enjoy raw fish this is probably not the right restaurant for you. Good sized portions which makes the price worthwhile. Very fresh sashimi. I got a chirashi bowl and the slices were quite large for all the different kinds in the bowl, refreshing to have a sushi restaurant not skimp. I've been to Tokyo and a myriad of Japanese restaurants around the country. Very impressed with the quality offered here in the midwest. At least in KC so far, this will be my go to for real sushi.

People are quick on their feet taking orders, moving chairs around. Smells good in here! There are TV monitors showing anime. Very unassuming bare walls with minimal decor. They’re letting the food speak for what they’re known for. Being 1/3 Vietnamese, of course I come to try KS BBQ which my boyfriend loves but I also crave Vietnamese food! I ordered Bun Bo Hue, they make it authentic here with pork blood. The broth was rich but was slightly on sweet side so I made it perfect by adding mam ruoc (shrimp paste). Everything expected was in the Bun bo hue like the cha lua (pork roll). One tiny thing I was looking for was the pig knuckle that normally comes with this dish. It was missing today :-( Still overall definitely 5 stars for food! I also ordered Banh Xeo to go for dinner!

This restaurant is the only Mongolian Grill I have been to because I love it so much. After being closed for almost 2 years, I was excited to find they had reopened. We read the Reviews we decided to visit. I don't understand what is going on with the time limits on all you can eat buffets. The normal dishes fried rice was kinda hard, the beef and broccoli was under cooked, broccoli was very hard. Lomein was pretty good, the coconut shrimp was too sweet. I really enjoyed the ice cream. The other issue I had which I think is impolite is when we called the waitress over for a refill she brought our ticket like she was ready for us to go. We were only there 25 minutes I won't be returning to this establishment.

The place was busy and there is a queue to get a table but there were a few chairs available by the bar. I ordered the Taiwanese beef noodles and KC Kao town cocktail. I also had the Dan Dan noodles and Karaage bao on another visit. I would recommend the beef noodles - the meat was tender and the broth had a slight sweetness but was delicious overall. The Karaage bao as well - the chicken complemented well with the spicy mayo and pickled cucumber. Have been driving by this place for awhile now and thought Id give it a go. I wish parts of their menu were a kittle more descriptive. I had gotten a combo plate with a side salad. There was only 1-2 people prepping, what looked to be 2 people in management, and two servers. The line was steadily piling up out and filling the lobby. We also waited quite a while for our food due to this. By the time we got our food, I didn't take any pics. Haha. I liked the decor. Overall though, I would go back, hoping they were staffed more appropriately. And feel super bad because I understand that in food service things can be unpredictable. So I am all for another chance to eat here. PS... the staff that was working was AWESOME!
