The first time I went there someone recommended the Shanghai beef. I didn't want the deep fried beef so I just got plain cooked beef. I found the dish to be bland and unappealing. The second time I went I got the Honey Walnut prawns. It was so rich and had so much mayonnaise on it. I couldn't even eat it. However, I did have barbecued pork as an appetizer and that was good. Tonight was the third time I went and thought I would try the sizzling prawns. Through a communication mix-up I got sizzling scallops. I tried to eat them but I just really don't like scallops. So I thought I'd try some barbecued pork and eat it with what I had left of my vegetables. It wasn't as good as the first time so, I was a disappointed with that. They did take the sizzling scallops off the bill. It is a family-owned restaurant and I believe the server is the daughter of the chef. She has a total lack of enthusiasm isn't particularly friendly and she dresses like she just came in from walking around town with her friends. All three times I've been there there was only one or two other tables with customers. Their service slow even though there's no one in there. I will not be going back to the Shanghai restaurant.

It’s our go-to spot as soon as we hit town. Most recently, we had the Sizzling Beef, Garlic Chicken, and BBQ Pork Fried Rice— each dish overflowing with generous tender cuts of meat, perfectly crisp vegetables, and fried rice that was downright amazing, I ordered another fried rice to go! Great service and prices. The pho was okay. The broth didn’t have much flavor. Not much meat. I had the house special. Different cuts of meat with tripe and tendon. The tendon was perfectly cooked. The Pho bowl was not the usual shape that I see. More high then round. Not that big. Once the bean sprouts, basil and jalapeño’s are added it is almost impossible to mix since the ingredients are higher than the bowl. Way too many noodles and not much meat. I also didn’t smell the odor of star anise which gives it a unique flavor. I’ve been eating Pho for over 40 years so I know what I like and I know what to look for. This soup isn’t bad. Just average. Still worth going there. Wife had stir-fry with chicken, beef and seafood. She gives it a 3. Nothing spectacular just okay. The service was great. Very friendly and the atmosphere was great as well.

The owner was very friendly and ready to take our order. We decided to dine in and chose the following selections from the menu board: 2 Thai teas; Pork and Veggie egg rolls (3); Vietnamese salad with tofu; a Wok Fried Bun with beef and shrimp; and a Combo Special with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Our entire order was delivered to the table by the very chefs who had cooked/prepared our dinner. They were very gracious and genuinely happy to have us dine in their establishment. I’m so glad we did because the food was delicious! And the lady who is owner was so friendly & accommodating with my dietary preferences. They will “ custom” make your meal if need be. I’m sensitive to soy sauce & sodium. The chef made a delicious low sodium, no soy, spicy chicken with vegetables, noodle chow mein & my husband ordered the squid in black bean sauce. He’d never eaten squid before & thought it was 1 of the best Chinese meals he’s ever had. The squid was delectable! They just opened in early 2022 & I hope they become very successful. It takes a lot of courage & big efforts to open a restaurant post pandemic ! They’re friendly, welcoming & the meal we had was a wonderful surprise to a busy day. The inside is spacious, clean , with a nice, wide open feel to it. The menu is aesthetically pleasing with photos & a variety of foods well laid out & delineated in grouping. Give them a try!
