I had my doubts because it says Thai and Chinese. The noodles seem like they were mixed with old noodles because some was dry and brittle . The Fried rice was dry and my wife couldn't even eat it. Recent visit July 9th, 2025 the menu is now a QR code access and the food jus wasn't the way it was the last time I was here for some sushi. Unfortunately during this time around the food wasn't as good as it use to be the flavors jus wasn't there. The waitress we had however, was phenomenal. week of Aug. 2024, my 2 female flt crew memberz and I were in the mood for some good sushi. We loved all the sushi rolls and the Asian inspired ambiance of this restaurant. This is my go-to sushi place whenever in the area. We first started our venture w/ ordering some appetizers. An order of both steamed and fried dumplings, some fried calamari, and crab puffs. Our waiter also brought the Osaka style soup to accompany the assortment of appetizers the 3 of us indulged in. After the appetizers and some fresh raw oysters, the three of us women were craving some sushi. We each ordered some of the much recommended sushi rolls this place has to offer. From the house temptation roll, mango salmon roll, rock 'n' roll, as well as my favorite dragon roll and the tempura lobster roll. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you're looking for some delicious seafood and sushi made w/ fresh, quality fish, and ingredients. Until my next visit, which is hopefully sooner rather than later, I will be back.

My personal favorite dish is the chicken curry, but we tried many different dishes along with appetizers and they were all a hit. Second is the atmosphere of the place. It didn’t feel like I walked into a restaurant, it felt like I was welcomed into someone’s home. The owner, nicknamed Popcorn, has the whole place decorated with pictures of family and community that really add to the warm and cozy vibe. Another interesting piece of decor are these medals and bib numbers that you can see all over the place that Popcorn has earned through the many marathons he’s participated in. The outside of the restaurant was a bit cringy and dirty. 🫣

Old Chinese ladies behind the counter are rude and always fighting with each other. If you wanna order something that doesn't go together they instantly get irate with you.. The spicy garlic edamame and egg rolls were sooooooo good. She also got the Ramen and it was very good and flavorful. When it came time to pay the bill they try to pocket themselves an extra tip if you aren’t paying attention to where you are signing. They may not be prioritizing cleanliness in the midst of an ongoing pandemic but our order was nothing shy of what was anticipated for a lunch selection among 2 newcomers. We tried the sushi ordering a single avocado roll to share. The rice was very sticky but lacked flavor. Sushi is a about the rice before the toppings and Tokyo Express of Odessa fell short on this. I personally ordered the yakisoba with chicken. The portion was more than enough and most actually came home. The dish is not spicy and quite tasty. It had a great blend of spices that tie the dish together while still letting the chicken and vegetables shine through above the pasta. My sister ordered the lo mein with shrimp. Once again, a great selection of traditional Japanese seasoning was used but something about it is a little off balance. It is understandable that some dishes have to have that "what am I tasting?" quality, however the experience should leave you guessing endlessly and not brought to the forefront unapologetically. We wrapped up the meal today with an order of spring rolls. The dipping sauce was lightly flavored and served in such a shallow portion, in a wide deep dish so as not to dominate finger food. Overall they were served everything was made to order and served to the table reasonably hot. After photographing the menu, and accidentally spilling my beverage, I returned the menu to the cashier and brought the spill to his attention to which i was dismissively asked to just place it on top of the stack (and act as if nothing was wrong?) I know the menu will get sticky but the first priority should have been to agree to clean and sanitize the menu as many other venues are practicing to combat COVID. It's not at all busy and offers ample seating as the location's predecessor had designed (a Cajun restaurant). You should give this spot a try for yourself. Kids seemed to like it. Husband said his chicken was extremely dry and he only made it through with the coke. Turned out our friends was the same way. Sushi was bomb! If you order shrimp I suggest you don’t. So over cooked and when you let the server know they don’t tell anyone. We waited awhile to see if we were going to get some recooked shrimp. Never happened. Went to the front to ask for a refund and was told they needed to see my shrimp then the cook needed to see my shrimp then got told only my shrimp portion was going to be refunded $7. I get it newly opened. But we will not be returning. Good luck to them though.
