We had the green tea and while I'm used to the traditional small cups that are more Japanese style, these were coffee mugs that held a lot more green tea. While the atmosphere would take a hit for having a diner mug, I really enjoyed having a giant mug of tea. So, I'm happy. Atmosphere: This was okay. It was so busy that I really didn't get to get any pictures of the atmosphere other than one. I felt more like I was in the Mel's Diner than I was at a Japanese restaurant. The lights on the plates are blinding to the other tables and need to stop. I understand why they are there but the table next to us had it facing towards us and it was blinding. This, alone, would be a reason I wouldn't return. The picture doesn't show it well enough to explain how blinding and uncomfortable this light was nor does it show that the people next to us were nice but weren't getting the point when we told them how blinding the light was in our eyes because they didn't turn it off although they were very nice, as our eyes were blinded. Cleanliness: The hot tea mugs came out dirty. I scraped the food or dirt off the side of the mug. The bathrooms were not cleaned well and the sink looked bad. They did clean the table, seats and the floor before we sat down. I was happy to see that. Service: They were extremely busy. The server was very abrupt in taking the drink order at the point of not being able to provide enough time to make a decision. He did keep the drinks filled and that made us happy. As the night went on and the place became less busy, the service did get better. Price: It was $150 for four of us to eat there and we don't drink alcohol. Recommended: Maybe.
