This establishment was a fantastic place with a pleasant ambiance. The service provided by Olivia and the other staff members was exceptional. It was also delightful to observe the owner actively assisting. While I am not typically inclined towards seafood or sushi, I decided to try the Snow Maki which turned out to be quite delicious. Additionally, I indulged in the Spaghetti Kapow which was excellent; there's even a picture of it in this review.

We visited Lemongrass this past weekend while on vacation and unfortunately, left feeling somewhat disappointed, so we're giving it three stars
One of the first issues was the lack of any visible signage indicating that the restaurant was open. When we arrived, the parking lot was completely empty except for one small SUV parked far to the right. We called the restaurant to confirm they were open, and a gentleman answered to assure us they were open. Upon entering, we were greeted by what we assume was the same gentleman due to his distinct accent. The restaurant itself was completely empty. They made us wait 8 minutes in the waiting area while they prepared the table that seemed to be already set. Once seated, we received menus and were informed about their specials. We spent about 15 minutes, trying to decide what to get. During this time, the waiter had come over at least five times asking us if we were ready to order. We felt very rushed. The menu was quite limited, but featured a bento box section which was under a section labeled that it is only served until 3 PM daily. Since we arrived at 3:30, we asked if we were still able to order a bento box. The gentleman kindly told us we could still order the bento boxes for an extra $5, making them $24 instead of the usual $19. Three out of our party of five decided to order the bento boxes. While the food looked appealing, the portions were surprisingly small—barely enough to satisfy, especially considering the price. We all left feeling hungry and ended up going elsewhere to find more food. We are all skinny and do not take a lot to fill us but we were still hungry. Given the total bill of around $120 (excluding tip), it was a bit disappointing leaving.

The service and atmosphere were good as we were there mid afternoon. We had such high hopes but $32+ for a small portion of tasteless entree is too expensive and very disappointing. The halibut was overcooked and flavorless. It came with rice and veggies, and all bland. The short ribs were over boiled, lacking structure and flavor. They should have sealed in the juices. The sushi rolls also lacked flavor and they were pathetically small, more fitting as a small appetizer. The only decent dish was the shitake spring roll appetizer, but do bring microscopes to find the shitakes. We were all disappointed, but did enjoy the relaxing space and good service.

We went years ago and decided to give Lemongrass another try. The food is tasty enough, but the portions for the price are disappointing. I don't know if they were understaffed, but service was fleeting. When spending several $$$ for four to dine service should be good if not great. Sushi rolls are tasty, but tiny for the price. Halibut special is worth a try. The receptionist lady is very nice on welcoming guests, when not peak time, she ran to help co-workers, it’s really good to see. I love the decorations that you can see the kitchen when eating :) especially the chilly pot, it’s cool idea. The owner is really friendly to greet customers after she finished her work in the kitchen, I love her smile. The waitress is really helpful keep checking us on the food and drink, thank you for all.

Had a great meal! Very busy restaurant, but we weren't on top of other tables. Our waitress, Sunipa D. was excellent! She was knowledgeable of the menu and specials, made recommendations, and was funny. Food was excellent. Our plates ranged from duck, grilled salmon, beef, to a curried dish. Delicious pizza! The crust is amazing just thin enough, with a great bite. We had the special white, and it was perfectly balanced, between the creaminess of the ricotta & mozzarella, the spiciness of the sausage, & the freshness of the rapini. So good. The place smelled great and I decided to try the Turkey & Fontina based on the recommendation of who I assume was the owner. Excellent is an understatement for this sandwich. My sister and I had walked in right before closing and asked for a large pizza, clearly they had just cleaned up, but agreed happily to do one for us. The pizza was amazing, I've visited Italy and come from a family in NY, and this pizza is the closest I've ever gotten to my experience in Italy. Must have come at the wrong time. Not only did we purchase sandwiches, we bought $65 of items from tomato sauce, sausage, dessert, prosciutto, and crackers. My husband specifically asked if the prosciutto could be paper thin and the woman's reply was that he knew how to cut it. Wrong. He cut it like a slab of bacon and my husband had to throw half of it away which was upsetting at $17.99 lb. My husband's Italian sandwich had grizzle in it that half of that he had to thrown out. I know it was busy but if you cannot cut the meat correctly just say so. The hour and 10 minute drive was not worth it at all. Market Basket cuts their meat better and it is a better quality than what we got.

I don’t know who is making the Peking dumplings but they we the worst I’ve ever had. The meat filling was fine, but the dough on the outside was twice as thick as it should be making them really hard to chew, and they were flavorless to boot. It was like shoe leather. I ended up after eating two out of my eight cutting them open and taking the meat out and just eating the meat the dough part was inedible
Something changed since last November, because we’ve been eating there for 10 or more years. When we came back for the summer, this is the first time we’ve eaten there.

Friendly staff & good food at reasonable prices. Had been meaning to try them numerous times when I was in the area, but always seemed to get sidetracked. Today I made it and will be returning. A local spot with so much charm, love and delicious home cooked meals! We were looking for a place we could cozy up in to start off our vacation here in New Hampshire and found the right vibes at The Village Kitchen. The food came out quick and hot and we all left stuffed to the brim with no crumbs left behind. My favorite part of this restaurant was not only the warm and inviting inside, but the beautiful view of the mountains crested in fall foliage outside while you ate your breakfast. If you’re a local, stopping by town or visiting any time of year, this spot will give you that heartwarming delicious home cooked meal and atmosphere. The service was great too! My only note for anyone wanting to come by is to make sure you bring cash as they do not accept cards! All in all we enjoyed our breakfast and will come back if we ever find ourselves here again!

This is a tough review to write. We were staying in Moultonborough for the weekend and wanted to try a local eatery. We asked our friend if the Village Kitchen was good and he said, oh yes VK is very good!! Off we went for dinner, and noticed that the parking lot was full. Good sign, but wondered how long the wait would be. They said about 40 minutes, but within 5 they told us that they had a table ready for us!!! We sat at this really oddly shaped table that the waitress said they called NH table. Our waitress was sweet albeit a little nervous....but she got our order right and the food came out hot and quickly. While we were waiting for the food to come out (which was only about 10 minutes) we read that they served breakfast. Food was delicious and the blueberry crumble pie and chocolate cream were both delicious!!!
Now is the hard part...the next morning we went back for breakfast at about 8 am. We got right in and were asked by a young girl how many people were in our party. We said 5 and asked for us to wait while we checked on a table. All of a sudden this woman who looked like she was either, tired, miserable or hated her job asked if we were "good"....my friend said we will be when we eat!!! She looked at us all like we were dirt and said, well do you need a table? I said, no thanks the girl is getting the NH table for us!! The look that she gave me was the most disgusted look I've ever gotten!!! The women (we found out was named Rhonda) walked away from us and went up to the girl and made some snarky comment to her. The girl then came asked if everyone in our party was there, so that we could be seated. Since we were all there we were taken to the table. A party of 4 were seated behind us, with only 2 of the 4 being at the table for about 20 minutes before the other 2 showed up!!!! Ok for their whole party to not all be there, but it wouldn't be for us???? Hmmmmm. Food was good!!! Hot, seasoned well and speedy. Then it came time to pay. I brought our tab up to the register, and good ole Rhonda came up and used the register, looked at me dead in the eyes, and just walked away. Unfortunately having a person like that in a restaurant that has decent food, makes the ratings go down. I guess we will not be going back unless we happen to catch a day when Rhonda isn't working.

This is a great local Mexican restaurant. Having lived in Texas for many years, finding a very good Mexican restaurant in New England was a challenge. But I found it here.
There is plenty of seating both inside and out, as well as seating at the well stocked bar. The dining area was clean and tables were cleared and wiped down quickly once vacated. Also, the bathrooms were clean.
The staff was friendly, present, attentive and quick.
The menu had a wide selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes, the normal Mexican restaurant items plus some things I hadn’t seen before. They had a host of margaritas and other frozen drinks on offer.
The homemade chips and salsa were tasty. Our food arrived quickly. I ordered the chicken fajitas which were great. The portion size was more than enough for the price. It was well cooked and came with peppers and onions, fresh guacamole and pico, rice, and refried beans.
The price was more than reasonable considering the portion sizes. I will definitely come back!

The decoration is great and don’t even get me started on their food and drinks. One of the best Margaritas I have ever tried. Their food was perfectly seasoned! Great local bakery. I've now had two birthday cakes made by Jen, who does a wonderful job, exceeding my expectations both times! I will mention - if you need a cake on a busy weekend in the summer like I do, give her a few months notice - they are very busy! I’ll be right with you.” But no. She was uncourteous and slow, yet still felt comfortable charging us a mandatory 18% tip, AND THEN HAVING A TIP JAR ON THE BAR FOR MORE TIPS!! So ridiculous!!
My chicken sandwich tasted okay, but needed way more sauce and was overpriced. My husband’s lobster roll was pre-mixed, NOT fresh, and was over $30.
The view is pretty, but still not worth this awful service and high prices. I’d consider this place a tourist trap. Spend your vacation time elsewhere, people!

The Carriage House Restaurant at Castle in the Clouds is hands down one of the most scenic spots in all of Lake Winnipesaukee. The view from the terrace is absolutely jaw-dropping—especially on a clear day. We were lucky enough to catch a calm day with very little wind, and having lunch with that panorama laid out before us was an experience in itself.
The food was delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Prices are on the higher side, but honestly, you’re paying for the spectacular location and atmosphere. It’s well worth it for a relaxing, memorable meal.
A hidden gem nearby is the Brook Trail, located just a short walk from the little ice cream stand on your way out. This trail follows a series of seven waterfalls, each unique and stunning in its own way. It’s easy to see why poets and writers have found inspiration here. The trail is peaceful, shaded, and full of natural beauty—absolutely worth the detour.
We plan to return every time we’re in the area—and next time, we’re bringing our best binoculars to soak in even more of that amazing view.
Note: very close to where the ice cream stand is as a pond with huge trout! I mean really huge trout. You can use a quarter and buy some trout food. Make sure you bring quarters with you! (also if you have any pieces of bread left over from lunch, they like that too! I’m sure the environmentalist will not like me saying so.)
Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, a serene setting, and a chance to connect with the natural beauty of the Lakes Region.

It's such a beautiful building with an amazing history and an even more amazing view! I really wish the restaurant was more high-end, with a better menu and classy table service.

First, they put together an incredible buffet for our rehearsal dinner via their Rubbin' Butts BBQ business. They brought a smoker trailer directly onsite and every element of the dinner spread was truly unbelievable. We all had it as leftovers the next day for lunch!
Magic Foods also catered our plated reception dinner of 100 people. I wanted to take a moment and share my thoughts on Magic Foods, and the job they did at my Daughter’s wedding. I had 3 children getting married within 6 months, and Magic foods catered the one at our home in Moultonborough. Andy and his team arrived 45 minutes ahead of schedule and set up a kitchen in our garage. Everything was cooked on site, and nothing was pre-cooked.
The raw bar was outstanding. The 122 guests raved about the passed apps. I’m a fan of Lobster salad. I have never had any better, and must have eaten 2 lbs. myself, severed rather than on mini rolls, but on a piece of Bibb lettuce. The lamb pops, Candied Pork bellies, tuna, and Brie bites were a huge hit.
The entrees were terrific, and my friends and relatives raved about the Salmon telling me it was the very best. The beef is what I always enjoy. The Porchetta (which was insisted on by the groom) did get mixed reviews, some liked it , some did not.
They hit a ‘Grand Slam’. For an event at a private residence, I truly cannot say enough good things. The team was professional, attentive, and cleaned everything up. Not only was I impressed by the quality of the food, I am grateful. For me a wedding, even my own, is about the food. I have included a copy of our menu for completeness.

Rude, non responsive and a huge let down. My fiancé and I drove an hour each way to meet with Scott to discuss catering for our smaller sized wedding. We had received a recommendation by our venue in Gilford, simply due to the proximity. Scott sent us home with some thoughts, I put together a spreadsheet for his review - we were friendly, complimentary of his time and looked forward to working with him. He never responded to our request after our meeting nor to the follow ups. Very unprofessional and disrespectful especially considering we were trying to plan for our special event. We will never give him our business at any of his restaurants and will share our experience with others.

Magic Foods did Rubbin' Butts BBQ for our wedding day, and it was absolutely incredible! Everyone kept saying it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Scott is a total pro — he made everything so easy for us, and I barely had to do a thing. He and his team knew exactly what to do, handled every detail seamlessly, and delivered amazing food that people are still talking about. The bartenders were also awesome — so friendly, fun, and they really added to the celebration. The whole experience was stress-free thanks to Scott and his crew. On August 5, 2016, we had a rehearsal dinner for 70 at Riveredge Marina, Ashland, NH. It was catered by Magic Foods under the direction of Chef Scott Ouellete. Everything, from planning stages to execution, was as flawless as could be. This was a full buffet dinner and open bar. Scott and his crew arranged everything down to the slightest detail. The marina clubhouse was transformed into elegant dining and socializing spaces. From the table settings and linens to the most important provision, the food, peerless is the word. Everyone raved about the delicious food and the gorgeous setting only enhanced by Magic Foods' efforts, direction, expertise and professionalism. With years of entertaining experience behind us, my husband and I cannot imagine a more satisfying catering result at extremely affordable rates. Special kudos to the onsite supervisor, Patti Edson, and her Staff.

Magic Foods Catering was amazing to work with for my recent wedding in Tamworth NH. I worked mostly with Shannon, and she was super responsive and helpful prior to the wedding. She helped us create the perfect menu based on our vision and helped with figuring out what rentals were needed based on our menu/guest count/venue needs. Magic Foods showed up early day of the wedding, helped set the tables beautifully, and were so kind the entire evening of service. Even while bustling my dress and getting to spend only part of cocktail hour with our guests, they made sure my husband and I had the apps! Overall, they truly made the overall experience very stress-free. The food was absolutely delicious - multiple guests came up to us and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and we agreed. The appetizers (charcuterie board, pork belly bites, spring rolls, etc) were amazing, the entrees were delicious, and the desserts - OMG. We had a small cutting cake made (lemon olive oil), and it was amazing. Then the chefs created three mini dessert options and they were each amazing. Truly everything about working with Magic Foods was perfect. Cannot recommend them enough! Thank you!
