Both of the noodle dishes contained insane amounts of sugar. We found the dishes to be excessively sweet. I was hardly impressed with the flavor profile of the drunken noodles. We would not come back to this restaurant and was very disappointed with how the food was that night.

The prices are a bit though given the quantity and quality. $18 for 3 average sized spring rolls is nuts. Over $20 for a pho bowl that’s regular size with decent noods, broth and beef. $18 for 2 Bao. There’s a myth that Nelson is expensive but this is the only one I find insane price wise. It’s a nice spot and patio. I’ll stick with the Viet food in major cities.

I ordered two Pho’s for pickup and the bill came to over $50. As I was walking into my hotel with the food the paper bag bottom collapsed due to the condensation in the bag and spilt half the broth. Once I got around to eating it I quickly realized this was some of the worst pho I have had, at one of the most expensive prices I have ever paid! I described it as if “pho turned into fast food” - this is not a traditional recipe. They took one of the most affordable, delicious traditional recipes and absolutely butchered it into an over priced noodles and flavoured water. Lastly, to make things worse pho is typically promised “fuh” but on their menu they call it “pho-shizzle” - just continues to prove how much of a joke this dish is. 1 star.

Each course had a choice of 2 or 3 items, with a glass of rose' to start the meal. Hint: book a reservation no matter what day as it is a popular place and many are turned away. The only unpleasant moment was out of control of the restaurant, as a homeless person came in loudly and rudely; disrupting things for 3-4 minutes while they warmed up. I am happy I did. The pizza had a lot of cheese on it - without me having to order "extra cheese" and the cook was generous with the other toppings as well. The delivery person was super friendly, so was the person who took my order. Great service and great pizza (I also ordered a salad (so fresh - no wilted lettuce) and some cinnamon stix). When I told them I had 2 orders, the staff tactlessly insisted that I didn't pay for the second order. To be clear, I am not frustrated that I didn't receive my 2nd order right away, but what got me frustrated was the tone of the staff's voice saying that I didn't pay for something that I know and have proof of payment. He even said that their system glitches from time to time, so with them knowing that, they could have just simply asked for my proof of payment rather than outrightly saying that I didn't pay for it. And when I tried to communicate my frustration from that, one of the staff backed the other staff up and turned the blame on me, saying that I should be nice because he knows that I also work in the hospitality industry, he also sarcastically added that he could have just given me the missed order for free. I added one star because the beef did taste like beef shawarma. I would never get a refund because you need to pay the bills too. However, the shake was definitely not just garlic, I am pretty sure it was the Club House Garlic with herbs/spices as I have this shake and it is like an Italian seasoning along with the garlic. Regardless, my suggestion would be to let the customer know prior or just use salt. I may have been incorrect with the assumption of coleslaw because of the shredded carrot that was present so that leaves me to believe you used bagged salad. My suggestion is this: for the Donair you are supposed to open the pita like a pocket and put the filling in before you wrap it up and hopefully not use purple condensed milk as it stains if it gets onto clothing. For the shawarma please Google what is in a shawarma and then make them like they are supposed to be made. It doesn't have to be perfect but there are key ingredients missing. I had a beef shawarma wrap with fries and my partner had the donair with fries. It cost 50 bucks, the food was sub par and not worth the money when they were missing ingredients and the portion of fries was so small it was pathetic. My partner who eats donairs frequently said his was also sub par and he has never seen purple sauce as a sweet sauce . In addition, the fries come with italian seasoning shake on them. You should tell customers before you do this or better yet, just put salt on because italian seasoning does not belong on fries and doesn't taste good. I've never seen coleslaw on a shawarma so that was messed up. The person taking my order didn't seem to know what a shawarma was when I asked about hot sauce (which they also didn't have) nor did they put pickles on or pickled turnip (which is standard for a shawarma). All in all for my first place to eat in Nelson since recently moving here, it was awful and I will never eat here again and would recommend to others to stay away... their 5 star reviews must be from people with no concept of what a shawarma or donair should be or, from friends/family because I rarely spend time to make a review this bad unless I want to save others.

It’s the best place to get sushi in Nelson. The staff are very nice and the food comes quite fast most of the time. Seating is a little limited but there are usually empty tables to find a seat at. They always have ice cold water that is self-serve, and their food is amazing. I’ve also tried many seaweed salads before and they tasted really fishy and were just bad, but their seaweed salad is amazing. Fish is also always very soft and melts in your mouth.
