It's located on a main street in Truro with plenty of parking. The server was very nice and the pacing of service was perfect. I had the mango salad (mild spice) with a surprise ingredient - fresh thin apple slices. I asked the server if this was the chef's twist on the dish or perhaps an homage to the agricultural heritage of the area. Either way, it was an interesting flavour combination. I also prefer the salad peanuts crushed instead of whole, but the flavours were still as good. Then, I had the veg and tofu Pad Thai (mild) which I throughly enjoyed - evidenced by the cleaning of my plate! I was passing through Truro and needed a dinner stop. Parichat's had good reviews. I can add mine to the list. I would definitely recommend Parichat's especially in the summer when you can enjoy eating outside.

The garden centerpiece with Sun Lighting was Airy & Refreshing. The food however was Mediocre. The chicken fried rice was most disappointing containing no Veggies or Egg. Chicken Balls were good but excessive Batter (the meat is so good and would be enjoyed better with less batter). Shrimp Balls were Horrible. Ginger Beef was Flavorful but slightly Mushy (could use a bit more crispiness and they would be Absolute Perfection). We were having a drive and decided to stop in for a meal. The parking is a bit limited given the size (especially once covid restrictions lift) but street parking is an option. The menu options were actually pretty numerous from the standard combo deals (fried rice, a protein, egg roll), to more specific dishes like mapo tofu. We picked some pretty standard dishes from the North American Chinese options, combo 7 and 8 (egg roll, BBQ pork. / Chicken balls, stir-fry / fried rice) as well as a hot and sour soup. The soup was excellent, thick, with lots of BBQ pork. The mains were also good, the egg roll was really nice and crispy with a meat filling. The chicken balls were excellent, freshly deep-fried the batter was crispy and airy while having a good ratio of meat. The BBQ pork was well made with a good level of seasoning and uniform cuts. I had the stir-fry and it was also good ample bean sprouts! I tried the fried rice on my spouse's dish and it was also well done, good amount of soy sauce in there and a good texture to the rice. Overall the portioning was appropriate, not a stuffed silly but enough that each combo will probably fill up a person amply. Oh one other thing the table was actually set with white pepper, just a nice touch. Lastly price, the prices here are great value! Combos start at $6! That is hard to see now days. Overall highly recommend.

My favourites include the bean curd mixed vegetable, vegetable fried rice, and chicken chow mien. Big mistake on our part, my wife wanted sweet n sour chicken balls and chicken fried rice as for myself I was eager to try their Cantonese Chow Mein so we ordered and when the food arrived we were excited to try the highly recommended food from the reviews. When we first took the container with the rice and chicken balls out of the bag it pretty heavy, the reason for this was the chicken fried rice was not cooked, or they cooked it then immediately fried it because it was dry and hard. To add insult to injury the meal consisted of basically a cup of roman noodles not crisped rather wet and soft also the chicken and bbq pork slices were from a bag, how would I know this? Because the chicken was small round pieces and the pork slices were perfectly conformed. The mushrooms and shrimp was 3-4 pieces and 3 small slices of carrot 4-5 baby corn and not red cabbage rather green and there wasn’t much of that either. After paying around 50 dollars which included $6,00 delivery my wife did not have her dinner at all. So I called them the very next day (because all the Chinese restaurants close at 8pm) when I explained our problem to the waitress that answered she was apologetic and said that they would put our name in the book for a replacement . a couple of days went by and we decided to cash in the replacement meals and give them a second chance, No that did not happen when the waitress told me she was new and wasn’t supposed to that by herself and that was why she was paying out of her own money to replace my Cantonese Chow Mein and giving me the cooks reason for the abnormal amount of broccoli was that they had run out of the other ingredients for the Cantonese Chow Mein and the substituted it with broccoli. I refused the replacement knowing the waitress would have to use her own money. So I guess we learned a valuable lesson. I still can’t wrap my head around how they could just change the ingredients from their own menu and not discount nor inform the customer.
