The Gluten free batter is beautiful and crisp and always freshly cooked as are the chips because they have to be ordered. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating wherever possible. The only problem with the place is that the fish and chips are too good and too much of a temptation!

Wetherspoons was packed and we couldn't get a table so we found Mariners place. It is a very traditional cafe which is clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive too. The food was freshly cooked with good sized portions and we'll cooked. Most of us had the fish and chips with a large mug of tea. The fish was perfectly cooked with thin crispy batter. The chips were some of the best I had eaten which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What impressed me is that they were not greasy at all. The service was quick and the prices very reasonable. It was a Sunday afternoon so it was not that busy but I can highly recommend this cafe and will definitely visit again if we are in Dereham.

The chicken kickers that were delivered were inedible – chewy and frankly, disgusting. Once i called to request a refund, I was initially told by the manager that it would be processed. It was for 16 people and it was delivered. I just want to say it was amazing. All the food was nice and hot and enjoyed by us all at Bob Carter Court in Mattishall. It was delivered by a nice friendly man pretty well on time and I can thoroughly recommend them. All the residents here are asking how soon the next Chinese night will be. Thank you Mr Tang and your staff also the nice man answering the phone. Oh and it was all bagged up separately with our names on so nice and easy to dish out. We’ll be back soon.
