It's a must visit for anyone craving authentic Jamaican flavours, hearty portions, and a vibrant atmosphere. We have been to Westfield Shopping Centre many times before and never notice this restaurant until today (28 July 2025). My daughter and I tried their food for the first time and we loved it! The curry goat was tender, rich and deeply flavourful. The BBQ ribs were smoky and satisfyingly succulent. The gungo rice and peas were fluffy and nice. The fried plantain was sweet and caramelised just the way we like it. The steamed veg was nicely done. Our meals were completed with 2 bottles of mango and carrot topical rhythm drink, which were cold and refreshing. This culinary experience was absolutely spot-on, and having us planning our next journey back to try out the other dishes.

I have eaten at this place twice. I am not taking into account my first time this review is based on my latest visit there. I ordered two wrap meals and the two pieces of chicken and chips meal. When I got home with my food after a long day miserable day of work and not eating lunch. To find that not did they mess up my order there was a meal missing. I was a wrap meal short, the one that they did remember to pack was literally half of one wrap....then I realised they did not forget my wrap they instead split one wrap into two and just gave a small portion of chips. I went back to the shop with the meals and said this isn't acceptable. They tried to make every excuse under the sun to try get out of correcting their mistake. I was not having it. What I pay for is my right as a consumer to receive what I have paid for. After a back and fourth exchange they corrected my order and gave me additional and fresh chips. The man tried to charge me again for the extra wrap. I refused as I paid for two wrap meals and it was his screw up. In the end he never mentioned it and I did not pay again. I would not reccomend anyone eat here. The quality of the food is not worth the money you'd be paying I can name better spots to eat at in Walthamstow. A few paces away there is Morley's I would better reccomend the food quality, taste and hygiene is much better there. The customer service is appalling. If I could rate -5 I would give Maxi Grill -5 stars for the customer service alone. They are rude, unnacommodating and are not coherent in getting orders correctly. To summarise my review, it is to be avoided. When they first opened up I noticed they were getting loads of customers. As I'd walk towards Aveling Park Rd. I would see the shop jam packed. Nowadays, barely anyone goes into the shop. That does not take an equation to figure out.

It is such a shame because I was recommended. We walked in and there’s a separate Sushi restaurant and towards the back is where the BOB place is. It was really quiet. The floors were sticky and could of been a lot cleaner - empty tables still had dirty plates on them. The menu is very eclectic - lots of fusion. I had a buttermilk chicken burger and friend had a smashed burger. We also had “nachos” to share. As you’ll see from the pictures, they weren’t your typical corn nachos. Service was slow and basic. The burgers didn’t measure to any chicken burger I’ve had before and friend kept finding little pieces of bone/cartilage in his beef patty. The fries were okay but a cheap imitation of Honest Burger’s Rosemary Fries. I felt it was over complicating something that shouldn’t be. I’m surprised to read some people given 5* and I feel they’ve not tried anything else and scared to explore. Comparing to other Halal burger places (e.g. Amigos), it was a dead experience. The meal Portions are a very good size though. Kids loved the chicken nuggets (not your average frozen nuggets) and sweet treats! That was a nice touch. I think I will give this place another try as I believe they have potential, we ordered online for delivery but would like the experience of dining in. Hopefully I'll update this review once we've tried it again.

I had been to the branch in Camden and finally visited this one. The staff was great with us, super friendly and even didn't charge me when my nephew changed drinks. We got the peri peri wings and lamb chops for starter. The wings tasted ok but the quality of meat was a bit of a let down. The lamb chops were so good. A bit over done but still succulent, juicy and lightly seasoned for a great taste. We got the American burger and the Mexican burgers which came with home made fries and a drink of choice. The Mexican was supposed to be spicy but they use sweet chilli sauce which was over powering and kinda ruined the experience. The American burger was great. Be careful of the lemonade.. it's super Tarte even for my lemonade loving nephew. He had to change it and the waiter didn't charge me extra. They also didn't charge me full price for the chops as our first choice of garlic prawns was sold out. Great service. Great food. Check it out.

If you know fish & chips, it's the large flakes of soft fish you get with a large cod that you pay for. This was mostly batter and the pieces were hard and dry, with very minimal flesh. I had been looking for a local chippy for a regular friday night supper and this is 6 mins away from my house so would have been perfect but this is a very dishonest con man. He confirmed I wanted large chips for £5 but I got a normal portion. The saveloy are standard and I haven't looked at the Jamaican patty as yet. Don't go here for your food as it looks like he takes one look at you and decides what to dump on you regardless of what you pay for. No wonder he was completely empty on a Friday night. Have to say this place is a real gem in an area with other places to choose from. It was our first time in here and it won't be the last, the steaks were cooked exactly how they were required, the burgers were absolutely amazing, juicy succulent and a very good size. We had some drinks with the meal and I don't think it was that expensive for a lovely eat in sit down meal. Restaurant is very clean, staff are really helpful, good and polite. I don't leave reviews for restaurants often but this place deserves a review as I think there worth it. I wasn't paid for this review unless you count a cup of tea, which wasn't on the menu which they made me as I don't do soft fizzy drinks. We will be back soon, if you're coming to Leyton Orient to watch the football stop by and make a day of it. Real quality is all I can say.

First time, I ordered rice expecting it to be Turkish rice but it was basmati rice! Never seen this in a kebab shop! I ordered today and all the chilli sauce pots were off and had a disgusting smell. Horrible experience and put us off our food bearing in mind I have little children. Never ordering from there again! Avoid. They state that it states basmati rice on their website - IT DOES NOT. It states white rice which could mean anything. Maybe your manager and staff need to learn how to label your menu clearly? It seems like you need your eyes checked lol... Awful kebab meat which had likely been sitting in a container for hours before being put on the grill for 5 minutes. Food arrived within 35 minutes but was still cold and ruined by being smothered in cheap garlic sauce. 20p for a chilli sauce comprised of 99% tomato sauce with zero spice is an insult. Some of the few chips provided were undercooked and the pitta was like cardboard. One of the worst kebabs I've ever tried - avoid this place, it's a waste of your time and money.

Stick to your normal kebab place the food here is well below par unfortunately :( For some reason they have chosen to use large chunky chips which are particularly inedible when under-cooked. The meat, although acceptably tasty, was pretty dry. Perhaps part of the problem is the fact they use pizza boxes instead of the normal polystyrene food containers which hold in the heat better (plus point for environmental/sustainability tho) The portion for the price was also smaller than your standard kebab restaurant so essentially you are paying more money for less and lower quality food. If this was an eat in restaurant I would have sent the food back and left without paying. I'm not leaving this review to be a d!ck, just warning others and hopefully getting this establishment to up their game. If half your menu is meat and chips you really shouldn't be messing this up. Avoid this place until they sort their standards out :(
