Our waiter was super accommodating and let us order 2 of the side options. Garlic frites were a must have for a guy that LOVES all things garlic, and beet salad is my must-have wherever it’s offered. We each also had nonalcoholic beverages ($6 each) and we shared a pear cake. Smart idea, Meadowlark, showing me the desserts from the start - I chose my dessert before anything else! Everything was delicious, and good portions. The total bill for two was mid $60s, I think. (I was straining to see the check as my dad paid.) I would definitely go back, but… 1) I’d change into “decent” clothes instead of the scruffy stuff I drove 3 hours in, 2) I wouldn’t bring kids unless I were fairly certain they’re having a good day (ready to sit, able to remain composed, and trained to stay at my table) and 3) I’d dine on the early side to beat the crowd if you chose places based on your hearing aids. IIRC, the nearby Chaat Cafe furnishes these at a lower price and more reasonable portions. Servers were polite, but ours had to relay our questions about the ingredients to the kitchen several times. Thought the store at Springboro Pike was bad after hours but it's amazing that we have to deal with this. Had to go into the drive through. The braided lady told us we had to go around because they didn't want to give us our 2nd order. One of the employees offered to let us pull forward and they'd bring it out, but Braids decided to get live with us and said No, we get in trouble for cars sitting in our drive through and since they were timed (The drive through was empty) she was NOT going to let us wait or pull up. Then she said she was going to call her GM because "Ooh, I'm not the one" and slammed the window on us. And then proceeded to call her GM who didn't answer and then she could be heard yelling to her Assistant Manager who was on her apparent 2nd call, she informed us that we had to leave the drive through. We had to cancel that order obviously. What has happened to customer service at these restaurants. We will be talking to the Management. If it doesn't get resolved, we will take it higher up. Just know if you order through the gig apps at night its a crapshoot whether your order will be processed or not.
