We were greeted by our server quickly and we ordered our drinks, one of them being a coconut margarita. About five minutes go by and another girl comes up to us (not our server) who I believe to be the bartender. She very condescendingly tells us that there is a table that is allergic to coconut near us and so we can’t have the drink or we have to move to the opposite side near of the restaurant or else I am going to send them into anaphylactic shock. This table with about sixteen people and us are the only two tables in the dining room so there was room to move us to booths on the opposite side to the booths we originally were sitting. The problem is not that there was an allergy but the way that she came off and how she clearly didn’t care about our experience. In fact it is great that they take the allergy seriously but she was talking to us like it was our fault for just ordering the drink. She provided no accommodation when we very clearly could have just moved over to the other side of the booths with the wall and the other side of the booth separating us from the other table. It was either i get a new drink or i have to move to the opposite side of the restaurant. We originally agreed to move but it was extremely unpleasant as I was upset with the tone the lady was using. I brought the concern up to our server Emma who very kindly looked into seeing if we could move to the other booths which should have been done in the first place. It did not make any sense and it was quite frankly rude to be so unaccommodating when you are asking something of a guest. As well that table had ordered drinks from the bar which very clearly could possibly be cross contaminated with coconut. Emma our server was great, she was quick, she was helpful and offered a dessert later on. Unfortunately the experience is sour from the other lady but Emma did a great job regardless. For future, if you ask something of a guest you need to be accommodating and find the best possible solution to the problem and most definitely don’t have an attitude problem to people who did nothing wrong.
