Take into consideration we arrived just after a huge rush (possibly bus) of people. We sat at the end of the bar in front of the glass wash station. Our waitress was pleasant despite. She checked in with us a few times during our meal. The prices are comperable to other similar establishments but I feel the portions here make it one step above. The wings are the huge sized wings if you like those. The curly fries (for the 2nd time) were overcooked and crunchy. They have 1919 root beer on it's own tap! It was fun to just look around at the decor and play "I Spy". The restrooms were pleasant. Now, the part I hope the owner reads. There was a busboy, whom I feel may be family, "working" there. I surmised this because if I were one of those waitresses, I'd have had some WORDS long ago. I can honestly say this young man is probably costing you way more money than having him there, unless your sole reason is to keep him out of trouble...even so. He was very obviously working harder at not working than actually doing so. I feel like this is a very common example of our youth as a whole right now. He literally, for our ENTIRE stay (which took double the time as any usual meal does due to the kitchen being so slow) basically shuffled in front of us getting in the way of every waitress trying to do their job. He opened the coolers repeatedly turning labels, looking like he was checking stock, etc. I'm certain the bottles ended up being 4 degrees warmer, especially when he left the doors cracked open. Waitresses were carrying LOADS of dishes to the back and only occasionally, when he noticed, would he go back to the kitchen only to emerge right back in front of us. He seemed to like washing glasses though. Just one or two he'd slowly concentrate on them spending as much time as possible. Nothing like someone's face constantly inches from your food. Another time after coming from the back, he switched the big screen from football to car racing, which was also on the smaller TV. People were mildly watching the game. They had to ask a waitress to switch it back. When we were finished with our meals, we neatly stacked the tray/basket/silverware with the napkins on top, clearly indicating they were ready to be taken, at the edge of the bar, pretty much right under his nose as he washed glasses. Nope, the lightbulb didn't go on. A waitress came and took mine away. My Mom finished hers later and did the same. Still he didn't get a clue. I could see the frustration on the other's faces. I was exhausted just watching him do absolutely nothing. PLEASE teach this young man manners, consideration, work ethic, and teamwork. If he plans to go into management of any kind, nevermind, carry on. At the very least, find someplace else for him to be and alleviate the frustration for those employees who ARE trying to do their jobs. On the flip side, if I were to give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he was doing his intended job of monitoring other employees to ensure everything is on the up and up and to report back. In any case, this seems to be going more into a rant than a review of the establishment. Love Gronk's in general and look forward for an opportunity to stop in when I'm in town. Don't miss out!

They had good flavor but we went there because of the photos of the thick cut fries and I personally don't like shoestring fries so to pay an extra $3.99 for something I, once again, thought I was getting was disappointing. The chips were good. The coleslaw was creamy and sweet.

On our second trip we had time to speak with the owner who told us some of the history of the bar. The restaurant was originally just an old Pullman car that has been added on to numerous times. Even thought the bar and grill has been there for many years, the inside appears almost brand new. Sadly the rail yard is behind the bar so you don't get to watch trains while you eat. That doesn't stop you from taking photos or shooting video before or after you eat. Do not hesitate to give the Choo Choo Bar & Grill a try. You won't be disappointed.

I did not have high expectations because from the outside it is underwhelming. But this place proves you can't judge a book by its cover. We were seated immediately and our server was fantastic. We started with walleye fingers which were thick and coated to perfection. Another appetizer of onion rings were hand breaded and crispy. The salad was decent as was the lobster bisque. For entrees I had sirloin steak and lobster. The steak was under seasoned but my son said this is wisconsin people dont like a lot of seasoning and you season to taste after. It was cooked to a perfect med rare. The lobster was some of the best i have eaten. Similarly for the steak and scallops. Decent steak but phenomenal scallops. 2 in our party had filet mignon. The filets were seasoned and cooked to perfection.lobsyer mac and cheese was decent and broccoli side was great. 2 had hash browns which were fantastic. Served as a huge square and expertly crisped on the top and bottom. For dessert we shared bread pudding and banana cream cheesecake with hot fudge. Both were raved about. They really need to spend some money. Pealing paint everywhere and general lack of maintenance. The restaurant/bar is the huge downfall. They need a huge attitude adjustment. The food is priced right and they serve breakfast all day. We made it to Julie’s for the morning crowd and it was lovely to see the obvious relationship between the staff and folk coming in. Went tonight around 6pm and although it was busy, our server was so kind and welcoming. Off the bat have a dirty look like we were a problem possible because of racial issues. They are very sports orientated but do support vikings fans as well as the packers . it gets very exciting when these teams play each other- a good night to go to this bar if you want in on some fun. plenty to do here- softball tourneys , slots,pool, shuffleboard and lots more! plus they do serve food and even have breakfast on saturday and sunday if your up before noon.A great place to be, oh and drinks are reasonably priced- i always tip more than i pay for drinks by the end of the night and that says a lot. service is great here and would reccomend this place to everybody. So what are you waiting for?! go check this place already!!

You could pay me to order from here, and I'd still pass. Made a pick up order at 1130 ish for 2 pizzas and cheese sticks. Went to pick up after the order track said it was done. When I got there it was still cooking because the delivery driver took the wrong order and it had to be remade. Once I got it home ( I live 1.0 miles from location) and presented it to the family I realized how much I messed up ordering from here. Topper sticks were raw. Both pizzas were raw. When a slice was grabbed the toppings and sauce slid off onto table/floor/lap (it was definitely hot left a burn). Called and was told I was wrong it was put through many times to make sure it was done. I asked for refund and was told I could have it remade if I brought it back...but no refund. I returned after 15 mins to find out it would be remade ONCE I brought it back. So I waited another 20 mins as the dude attempted to ensure my pizza was cooked in other words burn the he'll out of it. End result was cooked crisp char tasting pizza and sticks or dough.
