It’s best to have a reservation but if you don’t mind waiting, you will get a table. We walked in on a Sunday evening and had to wait about 10 mins at the bar. We were seated soon enough and chose to go for the ala carte. They also had a chef’s tasting menu, jfyi. For the appetiser, we had initially only ordered the potato croquettes, but after the first bite, we decided to go ahead and order the beef tartare as well. 😬 The potato croquettes were flavourful and the beef tartare was soooo good. The combination of the beef tartare paired with the dijon mustard, the baguette, and the sweet pepper was divine!! So delicious!! For entrees, we got the slow roasted chicken and the grilled pork loin. Both were yum — the chicken was tender and tasted simple but soulful and the pork was cooked perfectly and paired very well with the peppers and the sauce. It was such a superb meal — honestly, one of the best I’ve had in a while. It is slightly on the pricier side, but the taste, the ingredients and the whole experience just elevates it and makes it worthwhile. To top it all, their service was top notch. The menu was a little different than what we saw online, but that was fine since I like when restaurants switch things up. Service was a bit slow, though our server was very kind. I came with my son to have breakfast before heading out to Shenandoah National Park. The service was great. The waitresses were very friendly and quick to seat us and take our order. When we arrived a few minutes before our reservation time slot, every table inside was full and those with reservations had name cards at their table. We had the Nachos for an app, and they were fantastic. For 2 people I’d go with the small order. I had the Fish and chips and it was right on point. We were greeted and seated promptly, Naima (Hope I spelled that correctly) was our server. She was very attentive and helpful when making choices. We had the stuffed Brisket shells and a brisket platter. The choice of favorites between those 2 would be hands-down, the shells. Both choices were great for sure. As closing time drew close, staff was cleaning up but never came close to our seating area or made us feel like they were trying to rush us. In fact, we were oblivious to that even going on until we were close to leaving.
