So for haute cuisine this place is legit and top notch as are the prices. The portions are small with the emphasis being on presentation and all the other elements however I think even with everything considered the menu is overpriced. The halibut in the picture was $57. I’ve had better tasting halibut at other places for half the price with better portions, but the presentation is spot on and immaculate. That said this is an experience and perhaps not really intented for a regular Joe such as myself. Walking out the door having spent $300 for two people without any wine purchased and wondering where the nearest pizza place is doesn’t seem fulfilling…but it is Westport…..

I come for the burger because it's infamous, but the chef at the Westport location absolutely does not know how to cook beef. It's beyond ridiculous. When it comes to ground beef, it's only well done for me. Steaks? Different story, but a hamburger? Needs to be well done. The first time the burger was burnt, mind you, the Greenwich location has no problems making a burger done without charring it. I figured this was a fluke and I even talked to the owner about it. I didn’t love this restaurant. The food was decent and the atmosphere was nice, clean and simple. We started with calamari and deviled eggs. The fish was tender and tasty but you needed to peel off some batter to be able to taste the fish. It came with no dipping sauce but I saw it served a few tables down and they had two sauces. The coleslaw that came with it was very overdressed to the point of not being enjoyable to eat. Again the other table I saw with this meal had coleslaw that looked white and not nearly as saucy as mine. I have never had dubai cake before but i didn’t like it. It was very dry and the only pistachio I tasted were a few nuts on the plate. We knew the whoopi pie would be a modern interpretation and it was. Beautifully presented and the cake was moist and I think soaked in olive oil. The lemon curd was served on the side and absolutely delicious, tart and creamy. The only disappointment was that the cream filling had absolutely no flavor. The dirty martini with house made brine was okay. Nothing special and definitely very light on the dirty. I realize I haven’t said many good things about this restaurant but unfortunately for me it just didn’t hit the mark.

The venue was perfect - we used the two outdoor spaces and the bar area. They even provided extra supplies for us to set up signs, and helped moved flower pots, etc. When it got a bit too windy and cold, we started taking over more of the restaurant space and they were very nice about that. The cost was extremely reasonable for a 4 hour open bar and lots of apps like sliders, quesadillas, their amazing pretzels, etc. Everyone thought the food was so fresh and delicious and the Manager (Oliver), bartender (Joe) and all the wait staff were all beyond helpful and friendly and speedy. They really helped make the night a success and special for everyone! They also kept track of all the stuff everyone forgot behind and made it easy to come pick it up the next day ha. Lastly our friend had the swordfish meal and when asked how he wanted it cooked he said medium well.... the first time it came out pretty raw as in completely cold ...he sent it back and a second later another one came (was it ready in the back)? ...but that too was cold and raw in the middle. He left it in his plate as even the noodles were not good. As we sat there we heard the table behind us order the clams linguini and after taking a bite send it back saying it was "awful" when the waiter asked if he wanted to order something else he said NO! When the waiter came to clear the plates he did not ask about the swordfish meal mostly intact in the plate but he gave us a round of drinks for free for having to wait for out meals (which did not take long at all). Maybe they were just having an off night as the reviews are so good... But we will not be back.

I started going back about two weeks ago. First, the owners hire a “handicapped” greeter who is very sweet and nice.
